The Liberation Of Italy (Campaign)
*Loyalty Rewards:
Faction based, influenced by capturing and specific orders. These apply to all divisions, doesn't need any veterancy/experience. When divisions are decimated these remain.
*Reconnaissance and Sorties:
Send the Storch/Grasshopper to scout just before fog of war begins in a pocket to ensure the plane survives AA guns. Bombing runs are mostly used to target anything inland that the battleships and cruisers can't reach.
*Building and destroying emplacements:
At the start of the campaign there will be a lot of counterattacks and aerial resistance. AA emplacements are built by US Special Forces and AT by Airborne.
*Partisans:
Encircle ability very useful for a bombardment or counterattack.
*Turnbase economy:
Make sure to upgrade city resources, use the mobilisation ability, drop supplies when possible and flank emplacements. (Harbours increase population capacity)
[Save often on regional map and in missions]
Multiplayer (Applies For Skirmish And Campaign As Well)
*Battlegroup adaptability:
Choosing the ideal one for every terrain is hard, and the upgrade path is even harder. It usually just depends on the specific battle. If you have ample resources to spare, Panthers, Tigers, M4A1 Sherman and the Archer are solid choices. Some battlegroups have strong starts but lose out in the lategame like Airborne for the USF. The DAK can't even produce a MG squad unit until 3-4 minutes in.
*Supporting your Allies:
Resource caches, pings, assisting in defensive and offensive actions.
*Losses and gains:
Reinforce and heal don't replace squads.
Repelling attacks could be more valuable than gaining territory.
Well placed barrages and coordinated strikes could be decisive.
*Hotkeys:
U/T/A : Retreat
ctrl+1: Assign squad/s
Del: Reset view
Enter: Team chat
Shift+Enter: All player chat
Please do not blob, it ruins the game and it's lazy.
Conclusion
I really hope this guide helps a little bit to ease frustrations and make the experience more enjoyable.
