Introduction + FAQ
Hey there, fellow Hot Wheels fans! Welcome to Speed Bump's guide to how to get all 73 vehicles in the game! The amount of time you'll be put through will be very large, but worth it in the end! While there are already guides out there on the internet that go into this stuff more simply, this guide will be more 'in-depth' and what I do to get all the cars.
This guide may not look perfect, but its perhaps the best one you'll find here. And this guide will work for other versions of the game that you've bought as well.
I wanna answer some questions before I begin this guide:
Are you going to put the DLC cars at the end of the guide?I will, and will include the ones from the Racing Seasons, but I won't do that until the full DLC roadmap for the game is finished. By then, I'll have every single vehicle in the game ready to have their stats shown.
What happens if the current ongoing Racing Season expires before I get everything? Do the vehicles get transported to the Limited Offers/Blind Boxes or something?Once the season itself expires, you will no longer be able to get the content that was included within the pass! Yup, they are only available for a limited time! If you reach level 50 well before that point, then you don't miss out on anything. So unless Milestone decides to come out w/ DLC themed packs, then you likely won't ever get another chance to obtain those vehicles again.
Why isn't my favorite Hot Wheels car in this game?Ultimately, it's up to Milestone to decide on what vehicles they choose in their up and coming DLC plans. Who knows? Your vehicle might get in the game if they make the right move! And if it doesn't, then... I dunno what to tell ya lol.
Is your name inspired by the vehicle of the same name in Beat That!, another Hot Wheels game released in 2007?Yes, yes it is! I sure hope it at least makes an appearance in this game as well because its my favorite Hot Wheels car in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if they wouldn't do it though because while the Speed Bump may be discontinued in terms of casting, it's still a memorable car.
Are you going to show the stats of each rarity level, too?You bet I am! It helps other people know what the stats are and the changes each upgrade does so why not?
With all that stuff answered, I'll be sure to answer more questions as this guide makes progress! Ready? Let's go!!
Blind Boxes Vs. Limited Offers: Which Is Better?
The Shop is accessible in the main menu in the Home tab. Since this guide goes over the vehicles, the only two options you have for getting the cars is Blind Boxes and Limited Offers.
Blind BoxesIf you're aiming to try your luck at getting the vehicles, then you can go with this option. It costs 500 Coins per gamble. What you'll get is completely random (hence the "Blind" part) so if you don't have a lot of vehicles available to you, you'll likely get some new ones. But if you're looking to complete the collection, then prepare to get duplicates... Lots of them. However, you should take advantage of the amount of duplicates you get for farming Gears to upgrade your cars (unless you wanna get the full list of cars in each rarity possible, which is a valid reason).
There are four different ways you can tell you'll get a car before the box opens, depending on the rarity level of the vehicle:
-If the box shakes a little, you're getting a Common vehicle.
-If the left and right of the box shake, you're getting a Rare vehicle.
-If the front and back of the box shake, you're getting a Legendary vehicle.
-If the box moves from side to side, you're getting a Super Treasure Hunt vehicle.
This method is not taxing on your coins at all since you can buy them for fairly affordable prices, but you need to have the RNG in your favor to complete the collection this way. This also helps with the 'Box collector' achievement if you're willing to work on that while getting your collection done like this.
Limited OffersThis option gives you more 'guaranteed' choices. Towards the end of your collection, you're bound to go here instead of Blind Boxes. The problem with doing this is if the current selection of vehicles has none of the cars that you're looking for, it can take a while of waiting around. The Limited Offers will refresh once after one hour and thirty minutes.
There's a bit of a catch with that time limit, though. You'd think that it'd count down because it is fixated on real world time, right? WRONG. That is not the case.
The refresh timer will count down ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE THE GAME TURNED ON! It does NOT count down while the game is off! During this time limit, you can get as many races done to get your Coin count up. Or if you're like me and are lazy by just leaving the game open on the Limited Offers menu waiting for the right vehicle(s) to show up, you can do that too. Just make sure you have enough to afford the cars.
Here are the prices for each rarity level:
-Common = 500 Coins
-Rare = 1,200 Coins
-Legendary = 2,000 Coins
-Super Treasure Hunt = Varies, depending on the model
For the STH cars, eight of them are either rubber tire versions, an alternate colored tampo, or both combined to differentiate themselves from their original castings. These types of STH cars will be priced in the same range as their original versions (i.e. a regular Twin Mill costs 500 Coins, so the STH version will cost the same). So if you're wondering why there's a vehicle at the bottom of the list that costs 500 or 1,200 Coins or there's more than one of the same vehicle name occasionally in the offers, that's how you know it's a Super Treasure Hunt.
However, only three STH cars are completely different models from the other eight. These cost the same as a Legendary vehicle, which is 2,000. They are stand-alone vehicles and are not reskins of lower rarity cars. More details are shared in the Car List: Super Treasure Hunts section of this guide if you're interested to go there now.
Other than that, you'll have to rely on the Limited Offers more if you're closer to completing your collection. It's just that you'll need lots of free time on your hands to wait around for the next selection of offers and the amount of coins needed by the time the offers change.
It should all come down to preference on what you want to do so that you can get all those remaining cars. While you do get Blind Boxes in the City Rumble Mode, both in the base game and expansions, you're likely to just get duplicates. Or if you're really lucky, you'll get a car you've been looking for. It all comes down to RNG, which kinda sucks that it has to be that way. You're better off using Blind Boxes to farm for Gears anyway in the late game.
Coin Farming, And The Best Ways To Go About It
Now that you know what works in the Shop, it's time for me to talk to you about the best Coin Farming methods there are!
But before I go on, I just want to say that one of the latest updates to the game no longer allows the AFK method of earning coins! Now you'll get Coins based on both your finishing position and how much progress you've made in the race. Also, very short custom tracks no longer work for coin farming!
With that being said, if you are still disheartened/ticked off at the changes these updates have made, you can still get Coins in a reasonable amount of time. One of the other updates has doubled the amount of coins in online racing as opposed from offline racing.
-The first method is to simply play online races, try to finish 1st as many times as possible for the 100 coins. If you can't do that, then try to make as much progress on the track as possible with the highest finishing position you can take. The only problem is that the tracks other people vote for might not be the one you want, so you're gonna have to hope for the best.
-The second method is if you really don't like how iffy the online Multiplayer is along with other players taking shortcuts you've never seen before, you can just stick with the offline Quick Race mode. The shortest track I found is Crossroads, which is Track 2 in the Basement category. Choose your fastest vehicle with a decent amount of boost and keep finishing in 1st place! While this is an easy and efficient way of getting Coins, it's extremely repetitive so you might get bored doing this a lot. In that case, use a much lower performing vehicle for fun if you wish.
-The third and best method of all, is play in a private lobby with an online friend. Set a time for when is the best to farm some money, and just vote for the shortest track available. Any other friends you have who want to farm for coins? Let 'em in! Having everyone finish is way better than having one or multiple people be AFK.
-Make progress on Racing Seasons. The Coin/Gear payouts don't require you to purchase the pass itself. You get 3500 Coins and 500 Gears in most of the level ups. The Daily Challenges reset once every 24 hours, so getting the 450XP from those will take a bit of time but the amount of XP needed to progress will increase after every set amount of levels. So you'll more than likely take days to get all the Coin/Gear bonuses before level 51 (if you can even get there before the season itself expires, that is).
REMEMBER: You do not earn XP for completing events in City Rumble mode.
You'll kill time farming coins to get the amount you need. Be sure to check back on the Limited Offers every once in a while to see if the selection has changed. If it hasn't, or if there's no sign of the car in the next, then go back to farming coins. It's not like you'd have to wait 4 hours in a single day to get what you want.
As a matter of fact, that's what the very first version of the game had - a four hour refresh timer and only 5 cars in the Limited Offers, which was atrocious. Thankfully they already improved on that.
Gift & DLC Vehicles
Gift Vehicles are where these vehicles are given to you on special occasions such as the start of the game or from the City Rumble mode. The three cars you get when you fire up the game for the very first time will be classified as Gift Vehicles, but they will always be of Common rarity. You don't get cars that are higher ranked than them, so don't even bother re-rolling your cars after booting up the game for the first time.
You'll know when a vehicle is gifted by looking on the bottom left corner of the screen where it says "Gift vehicle" with a present icon above the vehicle lineup in your Collection. Vehicles with this tag cannot be sold nor dismantled for Coins and Gears, respectively. The same holds true for DLC cars.
There are Gift Vehicles you'll get in the Hot Wheels City Rumble mode as you make progress. The following vehicles you'll get from spots in City Rumble mode:
-Bad to the Blade
-Bone Shaker
-Buns of Steel
-Hot Wheels High
-Motosaurus
-Night Shifter
-Rip Rod
7 cars from City Rumble mode will be Gift Vehicles, which is like 10% of the collection. Only 5 of them are Rare cars while two of them are Legendary.
Upon meeting 5 different conditions in City Rumble mode, you'll also unlock the 5 Secret cars by doing the following:
-Duck 'N Roll: Complete all Races
-Hi-Po Hauler: Complete all Time Attacks
-422: Unlock all 9 Secrets
-Ramblin' Wrecker: Defeat all 5 bosses
-Volkswagen Beach Bomb: Achieve 100% in Hot Wheels City Rumble mode
DLC vehicles are a similar case. Once you download them, any upgrades that you apply will stick permanently. There's no way to Sell nor Dismantle them for Coins and Gears. Since they're add-ons, almost all of them start at Common level. I say almost because two vehicles in each Racing Season start at Rare by default, while one starts at Legendary.
So they're like the Gift Vehicles. Don't go thinking that you can Sell or Dismantle them repeatedly for easy money or Gears.
With all that out of the way, let's go over the car list!

Car List: DLC (COMING SOON)
Yeah, um... I still have to work on this section simply because there's a LOT of DLC coming to the game. The DLC is gonna be split into a couple sections per volume, although the Free stuff and Pre-Orders which are not part of the volumes are going to have their own individual sections.
With that said, I still have to get all the stats for each car at each possible level as well as pictures of the forthcoming vehicles. Although I do have the game's original 73 (74, if you're counting the Cadillac Seville added via free update), I'm, still trying to get the DLC vehicle stats so I can share them to the world for everyone to see.
Until then, this link has all the pictures of each car of their stats that you can download for video creation purposes or just take a look: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/d69btd8g0zz5dtx/AABe0CimB-1GHMPPaQh42tdja?dl=0
Lemme know if the link doesn't work anymore in the future, and be sure to give proper credit when used!
