Year 1
Search a good place to Create Town Center, has all starter source nearby like deer for hunting, greens for gathering, good amount of wood for cutting, rock and clay. After you placed Town Center, create 2 Hunter Cabin near it this will be function as early defense against wild animal and provide your villager with food.
When you done, place 8 Shelter nearby the Town Center and a Basic Well, pause 4 of them and then create Stockyard and Firewood Splitter.
After Firewood Splitter done, make sure you limit the firewood to 200, this is to make sure it doesn't create too much because you need some wood to use later.
now with fire wood ready and food in stock, continue the house that your pausing. if you lucky, you will get early some people will immigrate to your town.
And to finish year one, create Smokehouse to make sure meat doesn't decay and your villager will still have food for next year.
And then let the time pass by...
Year 2
Year 2 start by creating Forager Shack and set the gathering area where there are greens, berries & herb, this will give villager more food variety to avoiding some disease and helping them to recovery from illness. however it seems my town doesn't have herb nearby that can be gather so i just place them to give more variety and adding more food for stock.
Now create Saw Pit, Storehouse and Root Cellar. after you done create Market, make sure the area of effect cover all the house that you create, increase the worker to 2 person.
And then create another 4 Shelter and Basic Well.
Create Fletcher Building, limit the bow and arrow production to make sure not over produced.
And then create Compost Yard to avoid waste buildup.
Increase Saw Pit worker in case the planks production is slow.
Gather enough material for upgrading your town center, the sooner the better!
Year 3
Create 6 Crop Field with 5x5 size cover it with Fieldstone Fence and don't forget create Fence Gate for villager to enter, to make the work faster, place the Crop Field and then remove it after you done placing the fance, then increase your builder to 10 after the fance done, place the Crop Field again.
After you done with Crop Field, reduce the worker on each field to 1 person, so you only need 6 farmer to work.
Set the Crop rotation like this for 2 farm, and then set the other with diffrent order of rotation. example the first two, Clover and Beans, the next 2 farm should be Clover and Flax, and last 2 Peas, Field Maintenance and Clover.
create some Apiary around the farm, this will provide honey and wax, honey can be sell if you don't need it for now and wax used to make candles.
Create Fence & Fence gate for farmer to enter around Apiary this is to keep a bear away from it.
And then create Wagon Shop and locate nearby clay spot to create Clay Pit on it.
Year 4
Create School to educate the villager so they much more efficient and their jobs (make them less idling).
The first invasion will arrive, but since you place most of building near Town Center all you need to do is ring the bell so everyone get inside the Town Center until all the raiders have bean dealt with.
Now time to make some gold, create Potter Building, Candle Shop, and Weaver Building and if you can gather herb create Soap Shop place it far from residence area, but since i don't have any herb that i can gather, i'm not creating one. you can also add more 4 Shelter. make sure it near Market area so they give you more income.
Year 5
Create a Trading Post, near town center this will make it easy to defend it if the invader come again, because they are most likely aiming where the gold stored.
Now wait for merchant to come, and transfer item that you have that you think not need it for now, the higher the price the better and sell them.
Sometime 2 merchant will come to your trading, and selling a price below while other buy some item in normal price or higher.
Buy and stock the item and then sell it to other merchant, make sure you not buy it more than the amount of gold that other merchant have.
Now invest back to your town buy something that can upgrade your building, if you really lucky some merchant will sell Bricks, buy 50+ of it and upgrade your market to next tier, this will increase area of market and also increase the income. (some extra bricks will be used for repair if needed)
Before:
After the upgrade:
Increase area disability of nearby housing by placing Festival Pole and some garden with the gold that left.
This will help upgrade the Shelter to next tier if the Shelter meet villager needs, and then create Cobler, Tannery and a Basic Well near it, make sure place it quite far from resident area.
And then create Barracks somewhere that far from town center attack range, cover it with Palisade Wall and don't forget create Palisade Gate for entrance.
With the income you get, you should able hire some archer just for garrisoning on that fort.
And with that you finish the 5 year of town creation.
To Do After Year 5
Design your town, create a pattern of your town with roads and paused building or move some building the way you want it to be, Try speed running to create Light Cavalry army, this will help your town defense and explore entire map and collect barn animal. no need to rush to tier 3, because the invasion scale with population and town center tier, make sure you ready for it.
