Introduction
This guide contains various tipps and secrets. It is a work in progress. Note: I started this guide and pretty much forgot about it. Thought it may still be usefull, but I am aware that some things aren't complete. Maybe I work on it more when I pick up the game again; I can't promise though.
This guide contains a lot of spoilers!
Getting A Servo-shell
Instead of doing the Magellan quest "Back to Nashville", which only gives you a decomissioned servoshell, wait till you finished chapter 1 and then go to the dune foothill location south of the maelstorm. There you can find a soldier that is trapped in a rusted servoshell. With grease or some high enough tech skill you can not only free the soldier, but claim this MK1 servoshell for yourself.
To upgrade the servoshell, bring it to a servoshell station, which can be found for example
- picknick neutral zone, in the shed next to the building where your personal box is
- magellan station, level -3 military post
- Ursula vehicle
Servoshell Upgrade Manuals
To upgrade the servoshell to Mk.II and Mk. III, you need upgrade manuals.
The basic upgrade manual can be found in Magellan, Level - 3 Military Post. Head left from the elevator and find a locked room in the outer part of the level. There you will find it in a locker.
(Used to upgrade the decomissioned servoshell to MK.I)
The advanced upgrade manual can be found in Carmine Heighs, in the building the Isosuit is in. In the isosuit room, there is a locked crate that contains this manual.
The classified servoshell manual is in the phalanx base underground warehouse in a locked crate in the first row on the right side when coming from the elevators (compare the following screenshot).
Weapon Display Cases
Each Faction has a weapon display case. These are meant as rewards for gaining a high faction reputation. The easier way to get them is having a high enough criminal skill to just lockpick them. The cases have lock strength of 170/180. You can pick these locks by having a criminal skill of (close to) 150 and using comic books and/or normal/electrical lockpicks.
Most of the weapon display cases contain a relic that is only usefull if you play with servoshells, the exceptions being the Fops and the New Comittee weapon display case.
Neutral Picknick Zone
Location: Neutral Picknick Zone, the same building where your personal box is in.
Content: Symbol of Freedom (Relic), +15 Inspiration while in servoshell
Maelstorm Church
Location: City, Temple. Santiagos office (immediately to your left when you enter via the main entrance).
Content: Servoshell Cloaking Device (Relic), allows you to go into stealth while wearing a servoshell.
Phalanx
Location: Phalanx Base, Caravan Company Bureau (near the faction leaders house)
Content: Experimental Eye Pieces (Relic), +15 Precision while in servoshell
Carmine Heighs
Location: Carmine Heighs, Isosuit Lab Building
Content: Thermal Absorber (Relic), +40 Heat Resistance, -1 AP while in servoshell
Fops
Location: Fops Camp, behind the big TV-Screens at the Queens Throne
Content: Miss Norway (Relic), Summons two doppelgangers as companions (doesnt work with loner perk)
New Comittee
Location: City, Council Building, Nakamuras Office
Content: Anjin, the Psy-Katana.
Note: While it is nice to have psy damage as an additional option in melee builds and the critical damage modifier is very high on this weapon, you will find this weapon being level 1 and it needs high-tech modifications (science skill) to upgrade.
Ursula Street Train
The Ursula Street Train is a superb vehicle that lets you travel the dome in great comfort. It comes with all crafting stations, a toilet, a shower, a sink, your personal box, beds and a servoshell maintenance station.
Be aware that this vehicle has it's own random events, where it often breaks down and needs tech skill to resolve the problem.
How to get the Ursula:
Find the special map location of the deserted street train.
Hint: Bringa canister.
Defeat the enemies there, a group of necroids and skeletons. One of them drops a key card. Enter the helm of the street train. Use the canister and start the train. Now you have to detach the rear part of the train by using a console in the middle of the train. It contains a riddle.
Triskele
The Triskele Relic can be aquired in the Nashville part of the prologue chapter. It is a very usefull relic and is unobtainable after you finished the prologue.
It contains of 3 parts:
- one can be found at level 1 of the nashville facility in a locked save.
- one can be found at level 1 of the nashville facility in the air vents. One of the air vents will have a speech bubble that indicate steps coming from that vent. interact with the vent and go through the dialogue window. repear this with another vent. At the third vent choose the "sneak up upon it" option. This may need a deftness check.
- one can be found at level 2 of the nashville facility in a broken toilet in the medical station room.
You can craft this relic with all 3 parts in your personal crafting window (defaul: J).
Attila
Attila is a unique blunt melee weapon that inflicts heat damage.
To craft it, you need to get the mobios manipulator. Old Al drops it (Neutral Picnick Zone -> Swamps -> anomalous grotto).
As soon as you have the mobios manipulator in your inventory, you can see the crafting recipe for attila at the gunsmithing workbench.
Attila is a pretty decent weapon for builds that specialise in blunt melee weapons.
Please note that just like the psy-katana, Attila needs the skill high-tech modifications (from science skill) to upgrade it.
