ELDEN RING Take 80% Less Damage In The DLC

Intro

General Advice:

Highly Recommended To Explore As Much As Possible And Find All Scadutree Fragments.

I'll update this guide along the way but I'm slightly lazy with having to type it all out so my apologies if it takes me a while.

Don't feel like using summons is cowardice it can be a good way to learn the bosses attacks and mechanics. Just dodging/jumping around attacks until you're confident to take it seriously. A lot of the bosses require specific directional dodges and take time to figure out.

Summons in general are made to be helpful there's no point in handicapping yourself on your first play-through (especially since some NPC summons give the fight so much more flavour). That first play-through is meant for joy and exploration, it's not often we get new Fromsoft content so try and take your time enjoying the journey.

Personally I find it fun to summon whatever I can and watch them fight it out lol

To start obviously you're gonna want to avoid the soreseals, they are useless if you want to take less damage.

Get your faith to at least ten (very light investment) and use the Golden Vow incantations as well as bigger prawn to increase your damage negation further.

Always remember to cast Golden Vow when going into a fight you get 3 minutes of 15% damage negation from it and with the Old Lord's Talisman that 3 mins gets extended.

There are also Golden Vow consumables that you can craft that have the same effect which can be really useful. Always try and check your crafting recipes as you might already have some consumables that reduce damage you can make.

Talismans

You 100% Need These Talismans To Negate Whatever Damage Type You Come Up Against:

Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman: Reduces Physical Damage taken, by 20%.

Spelldrake Talisman +3: Reduces Magic Damage by 13/17/20%

Boltdrake Talisman +3: Reduces Lightning Damage taken by 13/17/20%.

Flamedrake Talisman +3: Reduces Fire Damage taken by 13/17/20%.

Pealdrake Talisman +3: Reduces Elemental Damage taken by 5/7/9%

(Pearldrake is useful if you aren't sure which type of elemental damage negation you want)

Golden Braid: Boosts holy damage negation by the utmost.

Old Lord's Talisman: Extends the duration of Spells by 30%, affects both Sorceries and Incantations.

Crystal Tears

Opaline Hardtear: Increases all damage negation types by 15% for 3 minutes (10% in pvp), stackable with talismans and consumables. Gives 60% damage negation when paired with boiled crab and Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman.

Oppaline Bubbletear: Increases all damage negation types by 90% for 3 minutes or until hit - if guarding with a shield 100% damage negation and if guarding while two-handing, the bubble will not pop on hit.

Incantations

Golden Vow: Golden Vow provides a buff that increases the attack and defense of your character as well as allies. The buff lasts 80 seconds and increased attack damage by 15% (7.5% PVP), All Damage Negation +10%. Stacks with consumables.

Flame, Protect Me: Increases Fire Damage negation by +60% (+20% in PvP).

Lasts 70 seconds

Flame, Grant Me Strength: Physical Attack Damage +20% (15% in PvP), Fire Damage +20% (15% in PvP)

Black Flame Protection: Increases physical damage negation by 35%, Reduces all healing by 20%, Stacks with Golden Vow (Spell). Crimson Seed Talisman negates the healing reduction.

Consumables

Golden Vow (Tool):

Ironjar Aromatic: Physical Damage Negation +40%, Lightning Damage Negation -60%, Tier 4 Hardness[eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com]

Altus Bloom x2

Budding Cave Moss x1

Living Jar Shard x3

Perfume Bottle x1

Can be used to increase attack and defense. Battlefield Priest's Cookbook [3] is required for the recipe.
