How To Crush Them (skills)

As an Alphachadius we have one REAL skill, which is our shield. Shock pulse does exist. sometime we press E, it is an after thought. Wade into your enemies, keep them in front of you and they can't stop you.

Seriously the shield will block ALL damage projectile or Melee attack. The exceptions are grapples, environmental (acid/fire grenades e.t.c.) and the flame Heavy Synth. The Queen, so long as you keep her attacks in front of your shield you can laugh and taunt her. YOU are what what Praetorian's check for under their bed.

Shield Up Shield Bash One of the best perks on the Phalanx, if not the best. You melee attacks cause a stun on any enemy hit. If you interrupt things like Prowlers, Warriors or Drones during their Grab animation that will reset, and they won't be able to use that attack for a long time. This takes away one of our few weaknesses.

The Best Defense The extra damage is largely for show, we won't be doing a lot this way regardless. The movement speed however is all but necessary. You will need to move/adjust your position so your enemies stay in front of the shield as they try to surround you, this will allow you to do just that.

Avoid rolling when you can as it lowers your shield and makes you vulnerable.

Shock Pulse Shock ordinance Adds significant damage for taking out the trash, enabling you to 1v1 that Elite like a man. Also the Animation time is significantly reduced, making it a much better option. Shell Shock, and/or AfterShock are great additions to the skill.

Mostly Weapon Perks

Down Range Increases "far distance" damage by 20%. With CQW weapons this is around 5-10 meters or so, making it a great perk.

Alt Hit & Run Tactics - since we can get as close to enemies as we want, more move speed is a great option instead

Resilience More move speed, again helps us reposition while our shield is up so we can avoid rolling.

Down & out 20% damage from stunned enemies, Shock Pulse and Shield bash means this will trigger often.

Tech CQW training All your other space goes here. Our CQW is our main DPS. RoF, Mag reload and WP damage are all good options.

Alternate Particularly if you are fighting Synth, or playing solo where you can rely on getting Bulwark stacks

Frontier Revolver

This weapon has fantastic burst damage, and WP sniping ability. It has poor sustain but that is fine, as that isn't what we are wanting from this one. We want to spend most of our time on our CQW so fast bursts are what we are looking for.

Vented Flash Hider Nice option gives the most WP damage. Unfortunately without Bulwark stacks you still can't one shot Runners on insane. The effective range is quite nice on this gun.

Slanted Break will increase your DPS without ruining any break points for small units.

Rapid Dispersal This is incredibly strong the Revolver, I would call it a must if you want to use the gun much. By far the most reload speed, will make this gun feel so much better.

Hybrid Sight Accuracy and WP damage, hard not to like it.

AlternateThe Kramer .50 is a very similar gun, less burst, more sustain and a fine overall pick.

X43 Barrage Flechette

This is a lovely piece of machinery. While the DPS it does is slightly lower then a shotgun, the WP is significantly improved. Since we can get as close as we want and spend time aiming for that WP, lets take advantage of it.

Compensator This gun reloads lightning fast, and shoots even faster. We will build full stacks almost instantly, and those shouldn't ever really drop off till the fight is over.

Recoil Booster Same idea, slightly less Stability but you get it for everyshot

Rapid Release You will burn through your mag quickly, meaning you will reload a lot. To mitigate this we get the best reload mag in the game, win.

hybrid Sight We need the accuracy, and really want the WP damage, it is a just always a great pickup

AlternatePPZ is a great alternative

If you don't wanna SMG MedVed is A great option for sustained DPS shotguns.
