To accomplish the CC gunner Boi build, we are primarily going to rely on a few things:

Hey catch this!

Micro-Grenades is a two part strat. These grenades have 3 charges, and a 15 second CD. They also explode on contact instead of the obnoxious old grenades!

Disorienting Blast Makes it so each grenade will knock down enemies if they are hit. Be careful with this, as enemies get a resistance to knockdowns after it happens too many time. Try to give yourself enough time to wait on the 3rd grenade.

For the grenade buffs I prioritize Radius, and Cooldown. This allows for more grenades, and offsets the smaller aoe on these grenades. The grenades do around 4k damage (though they have very fast damage fall off, so only on direct hits) so they one shot runners. To kill the DLC Pathogen Runners on insane you will want a 20% Force boost.

Everything else

Overwhelming Fire On the same note, it is best to use this at long ranges with your assault rifle so when they are close they no longer have any resistance to CC, so we can knock them down more times.

Targets Acquired This gives us more grenades and overclock, for more happiness. Hard to go wrong with this one. 30% recharge speed.

Quickload Interlink Instantly (usually) reloads your gun, and gives all your allies 50% reload speed while overclock is going, significantly increasing their DPS. If they can fix the instant frequently not working, this will become an S+ tier perk.

Stopwatch Really strong, buffs both our weapons with 20% RoF and 10% Reload while Overclock is on CD. Make sure you are spamming Overclock unless there is an elite spawn soon.

Focus Fire increases the damage the enemy takes from you and your allies. This means it is a multiplicative damage boost, not additive. Very strong, I consider it as necessary as almost anything on gunner.

Down & Out We have 3 (4 by the time you have used all three most likely) knock downs and a stun, so we might as well get a large damage buff off of it.

Kramer Assault Rifle

While over used, it is for a reason. Very solid good all around rifle that really just does the job.

Assault break Offers 25% RoF, 10% accuracy and 30 stability (it appears the bottom tool tip is a typo currently, or a bug/it doesn't apply the extra stats) This is the best DPS option for muzzles.

Boosted Flash Hider If you are really good at hitting those WPs, this can also give large DPS and efficiency boosts.

Compound Mag Because most buffs are additive, the more you stack, the less it will impact your overal DPS. Being able to spread your stats across many different areas is generally the best way to maximize it, and Compound mag does just that. Reload speed, mag size and 15% RoF that you should be able to keep up through any fight means it is the king of DPS by a very significant margin.

If you are **NEEDING** ammo, Casket mag is a good alternative - it typically offers the same overal DPS as the drum mag once you factor in reloading, while significantly more burst damage (particularly with a free reload).

Hybrid Sight Not a lot of competition here either, 30% accuracy and 20% WP makes this one of the best sights in the game, particularly for Rifles.

Alternatives:The Type 88 Heavy can do higher DPS if you struggle to hit WPs. It also has the largest mag, and is your best option for Overclock.

The Halberd can beat out the kramer for DPS if you are really good at getting those WPs, particularly for short bursts. It has a smaller mag, so you will want to prioritize your shotgun for the free reload on your Overclock.

M37A3 Pump Shotgun

I believe this is largely an overhyped weapon, with subpar DPS due to it having a long reload animation before reloading begins, there is one place it makes a lot of sense; when you don't have to reload.

To that effect you want to be using Overclock when you are at 1 ammo (or 0, you just have to start the overclock BEFORE reloading animation starts)

Also note that Quickload interlink does not always work... and when it doesn't it is going to feel pretty awful.

Assault break As mentioned this is busted. If you have the option to take it, you probably should.

Field Reserves this gives the most sustained DPS as the reload doesn't just affect the per bullet load speed, it also reduces the animation when you start the reload.

Alloyed chamber is a reasonable alternative, one I would use more if Quickload Interlink was more reliable. This gives you a larger mag capacity, meaning a free reload is a huge amount of free damage.

Hybrid sights You want maximum accuracy with maximum DPS, and that is what this will give.

Alternatives:

Type 21 - while my favorite generalist shotgun option in the game, it does have a smaller mag size so it doesn't benefit as much from Quickload, or overclock. This gun can certainly take advantage of overclock, but also doesn't need it to have great elite killing power.

MedVed Something of a sleeper gun. not the best for Quicklink/Overclock however when Overclock is down it will do significantly more DPS then the Pump in extended fights. This one shines if you want to use Overclock primarily with your rifle.
