If you've already seen the guide shown below, then you may wonder... what is this? Well to put simply, there are two kinds of people. Ones who love screenshots, and ones who do not. The screenshot guide may be difficult for many people to load as well and if they can't load it... well they can't use it. So enjoy this guide in its place.

Missable
Just a list of missable achievements and a quick glance as to why they're missable: To avoid spoilers, end-game is referring to the end of Disc 3.
Movie Critic - There are a total of 80 ATEs, but only 79 ATEs can be obtained in a single playthrough. You need 79 ATEs for this achievement in a single playthrough.
Another Man's Treasure - At the end of the game, you can figure out your Treasure Hunter rank. You need Rank S here. Rank S is obtained by looting the majority of treasures, side quests, and minigames. You can miss SOME treasure.
A Round of Applause - During the swordfighting scene near the beginning of the game is the only chance you have for this. Completing this also grants you a Moonstone (also missable).
Over the Moon - The Moonstone from the swordfight scene is missable. Conde Petie's Moonstone is also missable with the stones. Do note, you NEED at least one moonstone later on, so don't lose them.
A-Hunting We Will Go - During Lindblum's Festival of the Hunt, Vivi must win the hunt. This can be done by having both Zidane and Freya faint against the Zaghol at the end.
Driving the Hard Bargain - During your visit to Burmecia, you will encounter Stiltzkin who will often ask you to purchase goods to fund his trip. Make sure you purchase his stuff every single time.
Out of Harm's Way - During the siege on Cleyra, you'll be given choices to give to its residents as to where they should retreat, you must pick the right choice for all the residents.
Peek-A-Boo - In Fossil Roo, the tunnel connecting the Mist Continent and the Outer Continent, you can play the mining mini-game for items. Mining the moogle to the right will grant this achievement. Fossil Roo becomes inaccessible at the end of the game.
The One Ring - In the same mining game, the player can obtain a Madain's Ring. With Fossil Roo unavailable end-game, you can no longer play the mining game.
Track Star - During your return to Alexandria from the Outer Continent, you can race Hippaul for a short period of time. Going to watch Ruby's play will prevent this.
Found in the Shuffle - During your return to Alexandria from the Outer Continent, you can find the Nero brothers in the weapon shop where they'll have you gamble in a shuffle game. It is unavailable after this.
My Little Airship - The Prima Vista requires you to collect all of the coffee. During Treno's card game tournament, you'll have to go to Dali to get the Mayor's Key for Burman Coffee. Also Dali becomes unavailable in the end-game.
Exalibur II - The player must reach the final area of the game within 12 hours playtime. Technically this isn't missable, but amassing 2 years of gametime to overflow the playtime back to 0 isn't a good route either.
Dragon Lady - Treno has a monster in the weapon shop that changes from time to time. Eventually, a Behemoth will be that monster and you'll need to defeat it with Dagger. This is end-game, but you must do it with Dagger.
Mister Nice Guy - The second to last monster requests a Moonstone which the previous monster grants. There is a very limited amount of moonstones, so if something were to happen to your moonstones, this quest would become impossible.
Other Notes The Mognet Central quest is NOT missable. If you miss too many letters, you won't be able to start it in Disc 3, but you can start it in Disc 4 with no issues. So this note applies to the Superslick achievement as well. Mois will relocate to the entrance from the Marsh (requires Quina in your party)
There are 100 unique Tetra Master players that you can challenge at the end of the game. It's difficult to find them all, but it's not missable.

Now light the candle.
Boss Battle: Masked Man | Steal Mage Masher and Wrist (if you want)
Alexandria After the cutscene, run straight to your right into the house: we'll call this right house.
Treasure: 9 gil | Left of the ladder in Right House
Treasure: Potion | Right of the ladder in Right House
Treasure: Fang Card | In the drawer at the top of the ladder
Go back outside, this will be 'Main Street'
Treasure: Potion | Head directly left from the doorway to the right house
Treasure: Potion | Near the top, examine the barrels to the left
Head north to the 'Intersection'
Treasure: 33 gil | Examine the grass patch near the screen on the right
Treasure: Goblin Card | Examine the grass patch near the screen on the left
Head into the 'Tavern'.

Treasure: Flan Card | Examine the barrel near the table on the left

Exit the tavern.
Head west to the 'Square Entrance'
Head east into the doorway to enter the 'Item Shop'
Treasure: 38 gil | Examine the southern most area inside the store
Leave the item shop and head north to the 'Square'
Go to the Ticketbooth and exchange some dialogue to learn your ticket is fake.
Treasure: Phoenix Pinion | Head north, and examine the wagon wheel
Minigame: Jump Rope - You do not have to hit the 1,000 jumps now, but at least do 50 jumps for Kupo's letter to Mosh.
Head to the far right of this area and take the upper right staircase. This is the Weapon Shop.
Treasure: Remedy | Near the counter in the Weapon Shop at the back
Go right to enter the Synthesis Shop.
Treasure: Ether | Buried in the items to the right in the Synthesis Shop
Head back to the square, then take a left into an alleyway in front of Ruby's Bar. Go west another screen and you'll be at the riverside in front of the steeple. Go towards the docks first and you should see a girl run out of a doorway.
Enter that house where the girl just exited.
Treasure: Eye Drops | Check the left corner next to the table
Treasure: 3 Gil | Upstairs, check the bed
Now go back outside, go to the docks and talk to Tom. He has a missing cat.
Go all the way back to the beginning of Alexandria. Then keep going until you reach another square with a statue in the middle. You will find the cat there. Tom will automatically come here.
Treasure: Sahagin Card | In the doorway at the top left in the statue square area
Treasure: Lizard Man Card | In the middle of the area at the very top, the statue will block your vision
Treasure: Potion | To the left of the statue
Treasure: Zombie Card | Bottom left in the statue square area
Return to the riverside where you met Tom.
Treasure: Bomb Card | Talk to Tom after finding his kitten.
Enter the Steeple.
Treasure: Potion | Right side inside the steeple.
Treasure: Tent | In the grass on the left side in the steeple
Mognet: Kupo's Letter to Monty | Climb up the ladder and the moogles will fall down the ladder. Talk to Kupo and select Mognet. When you hit cancel, then he will ask you to deliver mail. Do note this as you will have to do this to receive mail.
Climb up the ladder. Cross the first plank. Then cross the plank to your left.
Treasure: 29 Gil | Examine the chimney hole at the bottom left
Treasure: 63 Gil | Go up the plank to your north, then go north and downstairs. Take the plank to your right. Then take the plank to your south. Head to the far right of this rooftop and examine the chimney stack here.
Retrace your steps back two planks and up the stairs.
Treasure: 92 Gil | Take the north plank and examine the chimney stack at the left.
Follow Puck's route to start the next step.
Alexandria's Castle After the cutscene, you will have control of Zidane (somewhat) and be thrust into another minigame. This minigame matters a lot. Simply press the input that the screen prompts for. If you mess up, simply restart at the end or force close and reopen. It'll open up at the start of this scene every time.
Make sure it says 'Of 100 nobles watching, 100 were impressed.' If you got that, then continue.
A Round of Applause
Have the nobles demand an encore.
At the end of the cutscene, you will be inside the castle with Zidane. Head upstairs and that'll be it with him.
You will now be in control of Steiner. Head upstairs first, then down.
Treasure: Moonstone | Go back to Queen Brahne and talk to her. She will give you it. This only occurs if you impressed all 100 nobles.
Go inside, down the stairs and to your right.
Treasure: Phoenix Down | Examine the beds at the bottom left right under the door
Mognet: Talk to Mosh and select Mognet and he will have received a letter from Kupo | Only seen if you landed 50 jumps in the jump rope minigame
Talk to the two Knights here.
Head left, then up. We will now find the rest of the Pluto Knights for an item.
Pluto Knight V | In this hallway. He runs around, so you may have to re-enter to catch him. He will infinitely show up until you talk to him.
Pluto Knight IX | Go to your right and you'll find this pluto knight near some tables
Return to the previous screen and go downstairs.
Pluto Knight IV | In this screen, go to the left and you'll be in the library. Check the bottom left corner for this knight.
Go back out, then go down until you're outside.
Pluto Knight VIII | He'll be at the docks just under the fountain
Head to your left to the west tower.
Pluto Knight VII | Flirting at the doorway near the west tower
Enter the tower. Climb the tower.
Pluto Knight VI | On the way up the west tower. Talk to him and he'll give you an Elixir.
Head up the stairs to activate a cutscene.
Engine Room - The Chase After the cutscene, you'll be back on Zidane. Follow Garnet to the right. Talk to Ruby inside, then go downstairs.
In the engine room, go to the middle and turn the lever both ways. This will drop two treasure chests from the ceiling.
Treasure: Phoenix Down | Located in the chest at the bottom
Treasure: Phoenix Pinion | Located in the chest at the top
After that, take the door to your left. You will engage in a fight with Steiner.
After some more cutscenes, you'll engage Steiner once more.
After even more cutscenes, guess what. Let's fight Steiner some more.
AMV occurs.
Evil Forest | Ice Cavern
Prima Vista - Crashed After the cutscene, Zidane will be right at the crash site.
You'll receive your first forced ATE.
ATE: The Forest Keeper
You can't enter the ship yet, so head south instead through the log. Head right.
Boss Fight: Prison Cage | Zidane goes into Trance.
Getting Emotional
Enter Trance for the first time.
After that fight, Vivi will be captured by a similar monster. Defeat this one. The end of the battle will result in both Vivi and Steiner being ill. Zidane brings them back to the ship.
Treasure: Bronze Gloves | Right under Baku near the globe
Head left from here. You'll get a few ATEs.
ATE: Time to Escape
After the first ATE, My Little Baby ATE becomes available.

Treasure: Wrist | Open the chest to your left at the bottom of the stairs.
Talk to Blank, and head into the room to the right. Talk to Vivi.
Treasure: Ether | In the chest in the Cabin with Vivi
Treasure: 116 Gil | On the top bank in the cabin with Vivi
Exit left. Then go left again.
Treasure: Ether | In the chest at the bottom of the room
Head downstairs.
Treasure: Rubber Helm | At the top of the room
Head right, you'll be forced to talk to Baku. Head left, talk to Baku. Beat him in a fight.
Head back to the right.
Treasure: Potion | In the chest at the bottom
Head left. Then left again upstairs. You can now go to Steiner. Go inside the Storage room. After the talk, you'll be outside again. Go back inside.
Treasure: Ether | In the chest
Leave the room, then take the bottom right exit. Keep going to the right to Vivi's room. After the chat, head to the left two screens. Take the stairs down, then take the bottom doorway.
Here you'll talk to Blank. He'll give you the medicine that alleviates the seed poisoning. The scene will force you down one screen. Go back up.
Treasure: Leather Hat | In the chest
Go back down.
Treasure: Phoenix Down | Check the stack of items from the top
Mognet: "How Ya Doin'?" | Talk to Mosco and he tells you about the letter.
Go down one screen, then right one screen. You'll get an ATE here.
ATE: Orchestra in the Forest
Head up two screens and you'll get a small cutscene followed by a forced ATE.
ATE: Do As I say, Not As I Do
Mognet: Give Monty the letter from Kupo
Mognet: After reading Kupo's letter, select Mognet once more and cancel out. Monty receives a letter from Stiltzkin.
Examining the trail of water dripping from the trunk will heal all HP/MP.
Head right two screens. Then head up one screen.
Boss: Plant Brain | You may want to steal the Iron Helm from the boss. After you do a specific amount of damage, Blank joins the fight.
After the fight, the forest will begin to attack you. Run down one screen and then you'll jump down a cliff. Head down again to start another cutscene.
After that cutscene, the party will camp out while Garnet recovers. Soon, Monty will emerge from the forest and force an ATE onto you.
ATE: Teach me, Mogster! Lesson 1
After the ATE, Monty will give you the Moogle's Flute. Using the flute in the world map will call Moguo, a moogle. He will let you use tents and save while in the world map.
World Map Head south and you should see a cave entrance. Enter it.
Ice Cavern Once inside, go up the right slope.
Treasure: Tent | Drop down to the chest.
Go up to the next screen. Head to the right and up the stairs. Examine the wall. Vivi will melt it using Fire.
Treasure: Ether | Behind the ice wall
Go back down, then take the path just above the stairs. It'll go under the ice bridge and down to the chest to the left.
Treasure: Potion | In the chest
Head up to the next screen. Now take the right path and take it to the right all the way. Do NOT interact with the ice log yet. Go up the ice log first.
Treasure: Potion | In the chest at the top of the ice log.
Now go back down and the ice log and interact with it. Vivi will use fire on it and dislodge it from the top and it'll land on the bottom making the top inaccessible.
Treasure: Mage Masher | In the chest at the bottom after lowering the ice log.
Head to the top left of this screen. Examine the ice wall and melt it.
Treasure: Elixir | Behind the ice wall
Head up to the next screen.
Treasure: Phoenix Down | In the chest just to your right
Head to the left path and go up. Examine the wall to melt.
Treasure: Leather Wrist | At the end of the path after the melted wall
Head up to the next screen. You'll be at a fork.
Take the left path. Melt the ice around the moogle to free him. You'll get a forced ATE.
ATE: "Teach me, Mogster!" Lesson 2
Mognet: Talk to Mois after the ATE and he'll ask you to deliver a letter to Gumo.
Return to the fork. Boss fight imminent, it'll be Zidane by himself. Take the right fork when you're ready. Everyone will fall asleep, but Zidane gets back up. Head up the next screen.
Boss Fight: Black Waltz #1 | He summons a Sealion for the fight. The Sealion is carrying a Mythril Dagger if you want to steal. Then kill the Black Waltz followed by the Sealion.
After the fight, your party wakes up. Head forward until you get outside.
World Map Head northwest to the village. There are two entrance points. The Village, and its Mountain. Take the left one to the Village.
Dali Village
Dali Village When entering, your party will rest at the inn and thus you will begin there.
ATE: Vivi, Confused
Treasure: Antidote | In the chest at the bottom right of the inn room
Treasure: Potion | In the bottom left corner of the inn room
At the left of the inn room, there is a fortune teller. Use it until you get a very good omen. Each attempt costs 10 gil.
Your Lucky Day
Receive a Very Good Omen from a color fortune
Walk out of the room into the reception room.
ATE: Dagger Tries
Mognet: Give Gumo the letter from Mois
Leave the inn.
ATE: Cat's Eye
Treasure: 120 Gil | Hidden behind the sign of the item shop.
Go up to the top and you'll find Vivi here. Talk to him.
ATE: Cat's Eye 2
Head to your right and you'll be in the field of crops.
ATE: Dagger Tries Harder
Go back to your left into the village and go inside the item shop. You'll have a scene with Dagger. Head back to the inn and talk to Dagger. forced ATE.
ATE: Queen Brahne's Steiner
After the cutscene, the party wants to find Vivi. Go back to where you talked to Vivi and you'll initiate some scenes.
Enter the mill to your left.
Treasure: Aries | Located behind the grinder at the middle
Examine the metal hatch in between the two paths at the bottom. Open it and climb down. Climb down the ladder and take the lift down.
Treasure: 156 Gil | In the chest just under the lift
Go over to your right to the next area. Listen in and you'll be thrust back one screen. Go forward again one screen
Treasure: Potion | Inside a chest in the hut that Vivi was in
Treasure: Eye Drops | Opposite side of the hut door
Go to your right to the next screen.
Examine the barrel to reveal a Moogle.
Mognet: Pick up Kumop's letter for Mogki
Treasure: Ether | Climb the boxes to the top to the chest
Treasure: Potion | Examine the spool and kick it. A chest falls. Inside this chest
Go to the right one screen.
Treasure: Leather Wrist | In the chest in the middle of the room
Treasure: Iron Helm | In the chest on top of the crates
Go to the right one screen. You'll free Vivi soon after.
Treasure: 95 Gil | In a chest between a door and the mist machine
Open the door just to the left of the chest. You'll engage in a battle. Go inside.
Treasure: Phoenix Down | In the chest right in front of you
Treasure: Potion | In a chest right behind the machine
Treasure: Phoenix Pinion | At the very back hidden behind the machine
Exit the area to the south. Then take the walkway to the right to the next screen. Go up to the next screen and you'll get a little scene. After that scene, you'll be on Steiner who's on the mountain top with the observatory. Go down one screen and walk down the long stairs.
Treasure: 135 Gil | From the bottom of the stairs, go to the opening to the right and it's at the very top
Treasure: Hi-Potion | At the bottom middle of the area, just above the wagon.
Go inside and talk to Morrid and he mentions a little bit about the Cargo Ship. After that, exit the house and go down to progress. Steiner will venture towards the cargo ship and stab a barrel where the rest of the party is inside of. Soon, you'll be approached by a boss.
Boss: Black Waltz #2 | Not much to do here, steal if you want. Then eliminate the boss.
After that, rest or board the ship. You have to board the ship eventually, so do so when ready.
Once on the ship, go straight. Get on the ladder and go up. Walk left and you get some dialogue with Steiner. Continue left to the cockpit. Boss fight is imminent, and you won't have Dagger for the fight.
Boss: Black Waltz #3 | Steal if you like, then eliminate the boss.
You'll get some more scenes and eventually head towards Lindblum through the South Gate.
Lindblum
Lindblum After arriving in Lindblum, go down one screen to access the elevator. (You may visit the guest room now if you want, but it'll be covered later).
After all those lovely cutscenes, Zidane wakes up in the Lindblum Inn while getting a forced ATE.
ATE: Teach me, Mogster! (My first synthesis lesson)
After that, go over to the adjacent room to the moogle.
Mognet: Ruby sent you a letter "Opening a Mini-Theater"
Go downstairs of the inn.
Treasure: 163 Gil | Check the bottom left corner of the reception room.
Exit the inn.
ATE: Small-Town Knight in a Big City
Go up to the next screen. Then take the left path up.
Treasure: Tent | Hiding behind the house with the chimney stacks
Go inside the church.
Treasure: Leather Plate | Climb the ladder and check the right corner of the platform
Exit the church. Go down one screen. Enter the house in the middle of the area.
Treasure: Hi-Potion | In the first chest
Treasure: Echo Screen | In the second chest
Exit the house.
Now take the right fork. Let it be noted that this is one of the last times to pick up a Javelin weapon which is required for a later synthesis recipe.
Take the road left to enter the Synthesis Shop.
Treasure: Silver Gloves | Examine the table behind the merchant on the left
Now exit the shop. Go down two screens back to where the inn was. Take the doorway to the right of the inn to enter the airlift. This will trigger a forced ATE.
ATE: Vivi's Shopping | Leaving a note that you get a Kupo Nut here
Now, head into the lift and make your way to the Industrial District. Take the stairs to the left.
Treasure: Leather Wrist | Right under where you appear around the ledge
Head up the staircase at the top to the next area.
Treasure: Bronze Vest | Examine the wall in between the man and the pub doorway
Head into the doorway at the top of the area.
Treasure: Mimic Card | In the left chest on the second floor
Treasure: Steepled Hat | In the right chest on the second floor
Head back to the airlift and make your way to the Theater District this time. Exit to the bottom.
ATE: Steam Engine
Treasure: 127 Gil | Check the bottom right corner of this screen
Take the stairs to the left. Then enter the doorway to the left. This is Tantalus' Hideout. You'll receive a forced ATE.
ATE: What can I do?
Treasure: 68 Gil | In the chest at the top right
Treasure: 282 Gil | In the chest at the bottom right
Treasure: 97 Gil | In the chest in the middle
Treasure: Mini-Burmecia | Climb the ladder to the left and examine the doll
Leave the hideout.
ATE: Baku and His Crew
Go down to the next screen. Talk to any of the people down there to initiate some more scenes. After that, you should have a guy in a Moogle Suit run away. Go back up the stairs, then take the exit at the top. Now take the bottom right doorway to a painter's house.
Treasure: Ore | In the chest
Treasure: Autograph | Talk to Lowell
Treasure: Moogle Suit | Examine behind the red chair
Now head back to the airlift and take it to Lindblum Castle. Go down to the airdock, then loop around and go inside the castle. From here, take the staircase to the right. Then take the doorway on your left.
Treasure: Ether | In a chest at the top next to the moogle
Treasure: Glass Armlet | In a chest on the right side of the room
Mognet: Deliver a letter to Mogki
Mognet: Pick up a letter from Mogki for Atla
Exit the room and go to the fountain. If you try to go down, the guard will prevent you from doing so. Go back up the stairs to the right. Now take the stairs down and go down and you'll find a guard sitting down. Talk to him and you'll take his uniform. Now return to the elevator and it'll send you up to the top floor. Take the stairs to the left. Now take the stairs all the way up. Keep going up again and you'll be on the roof. You'll get a cutscene.
Eventually you'll have to use a telescope. Bottom left is a Marshland. The top left is the Aerb Mountains. Top middle is the South Gate. Top right is more Aerb Mountains. Middle right is the Chocobo Forest. Middle is Ceebell River. After that, Dagger wants to look. After that, the Festival of Hunt will begin.
You NEED Vivi to win this event AND you need to score at least 100 points (before the Zaghnol) or hope that Vivi scores 100 points. So score 100 points first, then wait until 4 minutes 30 seconds and head towards the Business District. Go in front of the Synthesis/Weapon shop and a Zaghnol will be there. When Zidane fights it, Freya will join in. Simply kill off both Zidane and Freya so they are disqualified.
A-Hunting We Will Go
Win with Vivi during the Festival of the Hunt
After the Festival of Hunt, you'll get the achievement as well as the Theater Ship Card. A feast occurs and everyone but Steiner gets drugged by Dagger. After that, you regain control of your party. Go down three screens to the elevator, go to the base level. Take the right cart to Serpent's Gate.
Treasure: Wyerd Card | Check the top of this platform for a hidden chest
Take the same cart to Dragon's Gate.
Mognet: Moonte receives a letter from Stiltzkin, read it
Treasure: Tent | Hidden behind the wall on the right side
Exit to the world map.
World Map Head just north of the Chocobo Forest. You'll see a gate. This is Bohden Arch. Enter it.
Bohden Arch Treasure: Moccha Coffee | This is a NEEDED item. Make sure to get this. It's on the far right after walking out over a branch.
Treasure: Ether | At the end of the bridge, on the right side before you reach the stairs.
Exit this area.
World Map Head west-southwest. You're looking for those Marshlands once again. This is the Mist Continent's Qu's Marsh.
Qu's Marsh Go up two screens. You'll be in some thick grass. Go straight up and you'll arrive at the pond with frogs and Quina. Catch a frog and give it to Quina. After the cutscene, make sure to accept Quale's request to take Quina with "Why not". Go down one screen.
Personally, I would empty this marsh of its frogs. You won't be seeing it for a long time. giving it time to reproduce frogs. If not, carry on.
After that, exit the area. Take the left one to make it three screens down. If you take the right path, you'll go into the thick grass, go all the way down, then take a left, and you'll be at the moogles again.
World Map From Qu's Marsh, head directly north and hug the mountain. You'll find the entrance to Gizamaluke's Grotto directly head.
Gizamaluke's Grotto | Bohden Gate | Burmecia
Gizamaluke's Grotto Once there, you'll get a short cutscene and be forced one screen forward. Talk to the Burmecian soldier on the right and he'll give you a bell. You need bells to open doors, so simply talk to all the soldiers you see on the ground.
Go forward and you'll be met with several black mages as well as Zorn and Thorn. Defeat the black mages then go through the doorway. You'll find another black mage, defeat him for another bell. Climb the stairs, then ring the bell at the left doorway.
Treasure: Bronze Vest | In the far left corner on this pathway
Talk to the soldier at the end of the pathway for a bell. Return to the stairs, go down, and open ring the bell on the door on the right. Go inside.
Treasure: Mythril Gloves | Stand above the brown door while on the staircase. You'll find the gloves at the top.
Treasure: Magus Hat | Follow the staircase and you'll end up going under a bridge. Examine the railing right as you lose vision of yourself.
Walk up to the middle. You'll get a sequence where a moogle is stuck under a large bell. Mogmi will ask Vivi for his Kupo Nut. Agree to it. This will free the moogle inside.
Treasure: Gizamaluke Bell | In the chest inside of the bell
Now open the right doorway with the bell. Go inside.

You can grind some levels by going up the vines and fighting some Grand Dragons, but that's end-game level. Else leave the area and Moguta will provide you with the Holy Bell behind a statue.
Go around the middle and to the left doorway. Ring the Holy Bell to open it. You have a boss fight incoming.
Boss: Gizamaluke | Steal if you like, then eliminate him. Using black magic will result in magic counters.
Bohden Gate Story shifts over to Steiner at Bohden Gate. Walk up to the gate and talk to the guards. After they check you, you'll be inside.
Treasure: Multina Racket | Examine just above the barrel to the left
Talk to the worker at the very far left. Respond with 'Don't kill'. Talk to the boy at the bottom right. Respond with 'Answer' to make the Engineer leave this area. Then talk to the girl on this side as well. Respond with 'Console' and she'll also leave the area.
Walk up and the guard will interrupt you. Walk back to the guard and talk to him to receive the Gate Pass. Now return to that corner once more so Dagger can exit the bag of pickles and you'll be forced into the next area.

Now head up the stairs and board the train. Move to the bottom right.

Head through the door on the left. Then go left all the way. Now, WALK over to the chest you see.

Run back to your right and you'll drop the flooring down below as Zidane jumps back to safety to the right. Make your way back outside to where Zorn and Thorn were in the window. Now take the left doorway.

Go through the doorway on the right. Go to the far right and go out on the balcony to jump across into a bedroom.

Talk to the soldier and he'll mention the bell under the bed. Go behind the bed and far right side and check under the bed to find the Protection Bell. Go back to the balcony and jump back. Go outside and go up the right stairs. Then take the stairs up and take the doorway left. Now ring the bell to enter the palace area.
You'll get a little dialogue, then head up the stairs. Now go straight through the doorway and you'll get a scene with an injured Burmecian named Kal. You'll be forced outside now. Take the right stairs up and go across the middle over the fallen statue and enter the left doorway.

Go through the doorway to enter a courtyard. Enter the left doorway to the Armory.

Leave the room and go up the stairs. Choose whatever dialogue you want, but only 'Leave her alone' will progress the situation. After watching from afar, you'll be thrust into a boss fight.
Boss: Beatrix | Steal if you want, but once you lower her health down enough, she will immediately use Stock Break and eliminate your party.

South Gate | Dali | Treno
South Gate This is the last place to get the Iron Helm if you don't have it already. It's the only equip to teach Steiner's Bright Eyes
This is also the last place to obtain Silver Gloves which is required for a synthesis recipe later on in the game.
Head to the right for the rest area.

Talk to the reception behind the desk at the left to progress. You'll hear a familiar voice. Go left to see what it is. After the dialogue, go back right for more dialogue. Talk to Cinna/Marcus, then talk to Steiner. The train to Treno will soon arrive. Go to the left and enter the train with Marcus. Once the train leaves, talk to Marcus again.
Boss: Black Waltz #3 (Somehow still moving) | Somehow it has new items to steal and Marcus is here so, steal away.
After the fight, the train ride will end. Go up to the next screen to a fork. Take the left route towards Dali.
Village of Dali Treasure: Elixir | Make your way to the crop fields and you can finally get that chest.
Head back to the South Gate.
South Gate Go back to the fork and take the right now. Jump over the gap in the bridge.
Treasure: 1610 Gil | In the chest after crossing the bridge
Exit to the right. Then approach the drawbridge to leave South Gate. Head Southeast to Treno.
It's recommended that you do a manual save before entering Treno.
Treno Once you enter Treno, Steiner will get ditched by both Dagger and Marcus. Important note as well, do NOT enter the Knight's House map until specified. This will make various ATEs missable.

Now, make your way to the Slums. DO NOT GO THROUGH THE CARD STADIUM. Go down one screen. Go down another screen, but take the left stairs back to the walkway. Then take the right back to the gate of Treno. Now from here, take the right to the slums.

Go into the Knight's House to your right. This is a monster fight arena.

Note: This is the last place to obtain the Mythril Sword, Air Racket, and Chain Mail. Air Racket has a few rare spots left, but this is the last easiest spot. Mythril Sword is the only weapon that teaches Steiner's Armour Break skill.
Exit the Knight's House and go up to the next screen to the King's House which is also the auction house.

Enter the mansion.
Auction: Win Griffins' Heart, Une's Mirror, and Doga's Artifact. Sell the Griffin's Heart to the Adventurer that wanders the Bishop's House. Sell the Une's Mirror to the Nobleman that wanders Bishop's House. Both of these will constantly reappear upon re-entering Bishop's House. Then sell Doga's Artifact to the Scholar who is the Synthesis Shop merchant. All can be sold for a profit.
When you entered the Auction house, talking to Dagger will bring her back into the party. Now return to the Slums. It's two maps down from the King's House (right exit on the second screen). Enter the Inn on the left side of the screen and talk to Marcus/Baku whom will attempt to steal Supersoft.
When you're in the inn, talk to Marcus and you'll be forced to a new screen. Walk to the right, down the ladder, then back left to the boat with Baku. Talk to Baku to continue. The theft occurs at the Synthesis Shop, except Dr. Tot will make his appearance and Dagger reacquaints with him.
You'll control back at the inn. Exit to the right, then take the bottom exit to the front gates. Take the left path to the next screen and go into the doorway at the end. At the top, Marcus will receive Supersoft. Talk to Dr. Tot to initiate some dialogue. Dr. Tot will give you access to Gargan Roo. DO NOT GO THROUGH GARGAN ROO YET.
Go back down the tower and outside to the Walkway. You'll get a one time accessible ATE.

Go to the right two screens and up one screen to pull pulley. Then run back down and pull the Feed lever next to the doorway. This will bring a Gargant around, then make him stop at the food giving you time to board.
Midway on the ride, you'll be chased by a large snake. Boss incoming.
Boss: Ralvurahva | Steal the Mythril Fork if needed, then damage it enough until it flees.
You'll finally arrive at Alexandria and be trapped by Zorn and Thorn.
Cleyra's Trunk You'll return to your party that's right in front of Burmecia. Just head west-southwest to Cleyra.
Once in, go straight up the stairs. In the next screen, pull the lever at the top right to open the door. Go through the door.

Now make your way back into the settlement. Head to the Cathedral and talk to the left priest and then head back to the inn area. An antlion has been angry. Head back to the sandpit where you fell down.

After that there will be a ceremony and the scene shifts to Alexandria for a bit, then back to Cleyra. Once it's at Cleyra, you'll have control of Freya. Head to the Cathedral and inside two screens.

Head to the entrance to begin defending Cleyra from the invading Alexandra soldiers. Keep going until you reach the wooden bridge and that's when they realized the soldiers up the trunk were merely a diversion for the Black Mages. Once back, you'll engage in a fight with one.
Now go to the right with the sandpit.
Mognet: Pickup the letter for Serino from Mopli
Head back to your left then go up. You'll be forced two battles before being forced into a different screen. Now read carefully. You must pick all the right options so that all the Cleyrans you encounter survive. This is for "Out of Harm's Way" achievement.
Option 1: "Let's head right!"
This will send them towards the inn. Follow them to the inn for the second option.
Option 2: "Let's go left!'
After they go left, you'll be forced into a battle and then will follow them left. Talk to them for the final option.
Option 3: "Cross the bridge to the right!"
Another fight occurs before you head to the right. At the observatory, you'll get a fourth choice which won't dictate anything.

Out of Harm's Way
Guide all the residents of Cleyra to safety
Boss: Beatrix | The usual, she'll wreck you. Steal the Thunder Gloves and Ice Brand.
After that, a cutscene.
Red Rose Go up the stairs and to the left to get some dialogue between Beatrix and Brahne. Go right, then left.
Mognet: Deliver the letter from Mopli to Serino
Mognet: Pickup the letter for Moodon from Serino
Go down to Vivi to progress.
Alexandria Revisited | Pinnacle Rocks
Alexandria Revisited You'll be in the cells of Alexandra in the East Tower. With Steiner and Marcus, simply use momentum to push the cage all the way to the right to escape.
Once you're out of the prison, go all the way to the left and climb the ladder. Exit to your left. Here you will get here as soon as Zidane and the rest get teleported here. Marcus leaves to help Blank. Note: You only have 30 minutes.
After that the party begins exiting and Marcus will close the gate to the right tower. Exit the gate and you'll be at the right tower. Go left one screen then up the middle inside the castle.
Inside the castle, go up the stairs and go to the bottom exit then go up the spiral stairs. At the top, go up to enter the palace chambers. Once inside, go straight all the way in to enter the Queen's Chamber. Examine the top left corner to reveal a secret lever. Go down the secret passage behind the fireplace.
Treasure: Ice Brand | In the chest at the top
Treasure: Tent | In the chest at the top
Get to the other side and climb to the bottom of the stairs. Continue climbing down until you reach a large broken circle platform. Go up into the altar where Dagger had her eidolons extracted.
Boss: Zorn and Thorn | Again, they have a Partisan, Stardust Rod, Mythril Armor, and Mythril Armlet. Steal what you want, then dispose of them.
After that, you'll save Dagger. You'll get a forced ATE.
ATE: Friendship
Go outside then walk back inside.
Mognet: Mosh receives a letter from Kupo
Head all the way back up to Brahne's Chamber and you'll let Dagger rest. And another boss fight comes your way.
Boss: Beatrix | Yep. Still can't beat her. She's still carrying the same items as she did in Cleyra.
Now go all the way back down to the bottom. At the circle platform, make sure to go UP into the room where Dagger was found.
Mognet: Pickup a letter for Monty from Mosh | This can only be obtained after Dagger is conscious.
Now leave the room, then take the stairs down. On your way down, you'll get blocked by Zorn and Thorn once again. This time, Blank and Marcus will dispatch of them saving you. You'll be forced into Gargan Roo. Zidane, Dagger, and Vivi will ride the gargant only to face a boss.
Boss: Ralvuimago | You can steal an Adaman Vest and an Oak Staff. Use some bio with Vivi and don't attack it when it's curled up.
After that, the party ends up at Pinnacle Rocks.
Pinnacle Rocks After talking to Ramuh, he'll force you to the next screen. Go back and you can talk to his ghost for the first story part: 'Hero'.
Go to the next screen.

After that, go up the water and to the right to find his ghost and the second story part: 'Human'.
Climb back up and head to the left now. His ghost will block you once more and give you the third story part: 'Beginning'.
Run left then go all the way up, cross the bridge. Then as the branch begins to slope down, look down and try to jump off onto the chest below.

Jump off, and head to your left in front of the slope going up. You will find your fourth story part: 'Co-operation'.

Now go behind the slope and you'll be able to reach the upper screen, but in the water. Walk forward for your fifth and final story part: 'Silence'.
After that, go back one screen then up the slope. Go up and across the bridge and down the slope. The first three in order are: Beginning, Cooperation, and Silence. For the fourth part, you can pick either Human or Hero. Up to you.
Once you've obtained Ramuh, go through the passage he was blocking. Jump off to trigger a cutscene. You'll be at Lindblum immediately after.
However, leave Lindblum. Head back to Pinnacle to your southeast. Enter it.

World Map Giving a Kupo Nut to Moguta in Gizamaluke's Grotto will net an Elixir here. Not required, but just a note.
Make your way to Qu's Marsh just south of Gizamaluke's Grotto. Again, you can catch frogs here for a little bit if you'd like.
Fossil Roo To avoid making a section for Qu's Marsh, simply go in. Go up to the tall grass, then go straight up. Take the top right exit, go all the way up til you arrive a Quale's House. Go to the right for Fossil Roo.
Once inside, you'll get chased by Armodullahan while dodging swinging blades.
Boss Fight: Armodullahan | Sort of
After you escape Armodullahan...
Boss Fight: Lani | Actual fight. Her primary target will be Dagger, followed by Vivi.
Go back to the cage where you first saw Armodullahan

Now go forward along the linear path until you reach an area with a tunnel and a flower. Grab the flower and go on the platform and a Gargant will pick you up. Go north after you get off to an area with a miner and some moogles.

Talk to the Miner, he explains how the switches work.
Take the path to your immediate right. This is Switch #2 Route. Grab the flower and go to the right to lure the Gargant.

Take the gargant back to the main area. Take the upper path now. Take the gargant through Switch #1 Route.
Go to the right and you'll find a switch. Use it. This will change Switch #1 Route from Southwest-North to Southeast-North. Take the Gargant now and you'll go Southeast.
Treasure: Ether | Take the stairs first, and go up and it'll be in the chest
Go back and down the stairs and go to the next screen once more. This will take you to Switch #2. Use it. This will change Switch #2 Route from West-East to West-Northeast.
Make your way back to the Switch #1 Route. When you take it, it'll take you back to Switch #1. Use it so you can go back to the starting area. Now take the gargant back there.
Once you're back, take the bottom right path to Switch #2 Route. You'll be going northeast instead of east this time. You'll find a miner here who sells weapons. Go up the stairs. and you'll find Switch #4. Use it. Go to the right and ride the Gargant. Go right one screen.

Return to the gargant and take it back. Then hit the switch again and ride the Switch Route #4 gargant northeast.
Once you land here, go to the right and you'll be on a wall with several vines. The top left switch is Switch #3, use it, but do not take the bottom right path. Instead, go take the cave entrance on the right. You'll be at the mining minigame. Talk to the miner to play.

Black Mage Village Read the middle sign, then take the right path. Take it again and you'll emerge from the left and you'll see the black mage to the right. Take the right path. You'll follow him into the village.

Exit down then at the center steps again, take the left path this time.

Walk to the left now. You'll be forced an ATE which was available when you picked Visitor, Not Invader. You want this to be forced.

Now after that ATE, the game kept you at the last area. Walk left to the Cemetery now.

Go back to the right and go to the left-most door, closest one to you. This is the Synthesis Shop. You'll get some dialogue here with Dagger.

Climb the ladder.
Treasure: 843 Gil | At the very top, you can barely see the chest. When you go to the top, the (!) will be cut off the screen.
Make your way back to the entrance, take the right towards the Chocobo Hut. You may enter.

Now go to the inn for a scene. You'll be at the entrance.

Now, head back to Conde Petie
Conde Petie - Revisited Immediately At the entrance, go left and you'll be at the Pathway. Talk to the guy here. You'll have the ceremony in order to reach Sanctuary. After your ceremony, you have to do something about Vivi and Quina. Make sure you pick the second option: "Why don't you guys get married, too?"
That option will force an ATE.

After that, you'll be forced towards the mountain path. Go right to enter the mountain path.
Conde Petie Mountain Path After the scene with the thief, go up the left ledge and up the vines here.

Go to the right to the next screen.

Go back to the left and down the vines. Once down all the way, go to the right to the next screen. Climb the first vine here and go left.

Go to the right and down the vines. Go right to the next screen and you'll see 3x Mountain Oglops. Catch one. Return to Conde Petie and from the entrance, go right and there's Hungry Bryan. Give him the Oglop and he'll give you the Oglop Card (Treasure). Return to where you were. Then go up to the next screen.

Now take the left path from the fork, and across the roots. You'll get a boss fight.

Madain Sari After entering, you'll get quite a few scenes. Talk through it all. You'll end up at the Fountain.

Approach the moogle and you'll get a little dialogue with Quina jumping off. After that, return to the fountain for a forced ATE.
ATE: Eiko's Feelings
You'll be tasked with choosing who should go fishing, digging, and helping. Let Momatose fish. Let Mocha dig up potatoes. Then let Chimmomo help in the kitchen.
Once you're back on Zidane, go to the bottom left. You'll talk to Vivi. After that, try entering the the kitchen to be stopped. Return to the fountain.
ATE: Eiko's Kitchen
You'll get some more decisions here: Cook for 11 people, do not put in the oglop, once Momatose has a big catch, let Chimomo cook and help out with the fish.
Go to the top right towards the Eidolon Wall and talk to the moogle here. After that, go back to the fountain, then bottom right. Talk to Dagger. Return to the Eidolon Wall and Morrison will let you in. Leave the Eidolon Wall.
ATE: Eiko's Kitchen 2
Another decision, Ask Quina for Advice.
Now, make your way to Eiko's Kitchen. Then you'll have Dinner.

Pick up the pot on the table and bring it to the left to the kitchen.
Treasure: Kirman Coffee | Examine the far left of the kitchen area
Try exiting and you'll be impeded by a moogle. Sleep. After that, you'll try to leave for the Iifa Tree and Eiko tags along replacing Quina.
To Iifa Tree Head back to the Mountain Path. Go west three screens to return to the World Map.
Once there, head to the gigantic tree.
Iifa Tree Once here, Eiko will break the seal. You'll also receive a Ruby as a result. Follow the linear path to a moogle. Should be on the fifth screen in.

Take the path forward to the elevator. Pick whichever option you want, but ultimately stand on it.
In the next area, go down all the way. Now you'll be in a similar room. There are two paths at the top right, one with a chest. The lower one has a switch. Push it.

Go down to the next area. When you reach the far left side with the dark trunk, there's another switch inside of it. Push it. Go back one screen.

Treasure: Lamia's Flute | In the chest near the bottom in the middle

Go down to the next screen. You'll be forced onto the elevator. You'll have a few battles here on this lift. After the first fight, talk to Vivi. You'll get another battle and be at the bottom.

Treasure: Brigandine | Go to the bottom passed Eiko and Vivi then left and back up behind the pillar/trunk.
Talk to Eiko, then agree to watch the Mist/Sparkling down there. Talk to Vivi, then head to the far left and you'll find something to examine. The wall. Dagger will fall, go up to her and talk to her. After that, boss fight incoming.
Boss: Soulcage
After the fight, the mist will clear out. Head back to Madain Sari after the scenes.
Madain Sari After entering, head to the kitchen. The doorway at the bottom will be opened. Enter it for a scene.

Head to the Eidolon Wall now. Talk to Morrison, then select 'Peek Inside'. This will net you an Elixir and the Exploda weapon for Zidane. Go inside when you're ready.
After some dialogue, you'll have a 1 on 1 fight with Amarant using Zidane.
After the fight, it'll be just you and Dagger. Head to the room where the jewel was stolen. Make your way back to the room under the kitchen. You'll receive the Memory Earring. After that, Dagger leaves and Zidane goes looking for her. Exit the kitchen into the dinner room. Then go to the screen that's between there and the fountain. Examine the ledge to hear Dagger singing a song.
After all that, Amarant will join your party. Make your way back to the Iifa Tree
Iifa Tree Go into the tree until you get a scene. You'll be facing enemies soon. The game will let you organize your party and whatnot. You'll fight two Mistodons as Kuja leaves. Then after Dagger leaves, you'll fight two more. After that, there's a moogle just above you behind the roots.

After that, run left. This next section consists of running away from Mistodons. After you get to the next screen, Dagger extracts an eidolon from a statue gaining an Aquamarine.

Alexandria | Treno | Village Of Dali
Return to Alexandria After all the scenes, you'll be in control of Vivi. Head to your right.
ATE: It's So Big!
Now once you go down a bit, you'll see a pair of hippos to the left. This is the 'Racing Hippaul' minigame. You'll have to race him and get him to Level 80 to receive Athlete Queen. The minigame itself is pretty straightforward, you can check his level by talking to Hippaul. Race him by talking to his mom. If you beat him by a large margin, you get 5 levels for him. If you win barely, 1 level. If you lose, no effect. This minigame is only available NOW.

Head left towards the main square. Once there, enter the weapon shop at the top right. Here you'll see the Nero Brothers. Play their minigame and win 9 times in a row. Note: This minigame is extremely difficult as they move extremely fast. Good luck! Oh, the person you need to pick is the one with the chat dialogue before they shuffle so you don't have to remember which one is which.

Attack On Alexandria | Lindblum | Black Mage Village | Desert Palace
Due to some circumstances, off to Alexandria!
Attack on Alexandria When assigning the Knights of Pluto, depending on how many choices you make right will get you a specific item.
Gather Information -> Blutzen and Kohel
Protect the townspeople -> Weimar and Haagen
Contact Lindblum to Request Reinforcements -> Breireicht and Laudo
Begin preparations to fire the cannons -> Dojebon and Mullenkedheim
Angel Earrings is the reward for all four. Two correct is an Elixir, One is a Hi-Potion, Zero is Nothing.
The first stage is set for Steiner and Beatrix. Not much I can say about this as Beatrix makes sure you're going the right way. When Steiner hits his Trance, that's his last battle.
After that, you'll take control of Dagger who wakes up at the middle of the stairs in the foyer. Again, some magical force will make sure you go the right way
Head up the stairs and go south. Then climb the semi-spiral stairs here and into the northern door. After that, take the left pathway. You'll be in a tower with several statues closing the path as you pass them. At the top you'll get another scene.
Now you'll be with the main party. Your first order of business is entering the library to your left. Examine the bookshelf at the bottom left to find a secret boss fight. Pick 'Try to Listen' then 'Challenge'
Boss: Tantarian | While you can steal a Demon's Mail, you get Running Shoes for killing it.
After that, simply have everyone evacuate by talking to them. Then follow the path that Dagger took to initiate the cutscenes.
It is recommended to save at the start of your trip to Lindblum.

On your way out of the of the guest room, Blank will talk to you and you'll get an option. Make sure to pick "Where's Dagger?" to unlock an ATE.

Now go to the elevator and take it to the top floor. (I'm sure you're worried about the items on the bottom floor, we'll get those later). Go up to the roof and you'll get a short dialogue with Dagger.
ATE: My Bad/My Fault | Appears if you picked Where's Dagger and went to the telescope before going to the throne room where Blank was suppose to tell you to go, Cid's royal chamber. The name you get is based on what region you're in. NTSC/PAL respectively.
After that, head down to where Blank is. Go up and go up the stairs. Talk to either guard then enter. You'll get a meeting and two forced ATEs.

Midway through the meeting, Eiko barges in saying that Dagger lost her voice. Head to the guest room. After that, you'll end up back in the royal chamber with the task of obtaining three potions to change Cid: Strange Potion, Unusual Potion, and Beautiful Potion.

Now make your way to the Theater District. Upon exiting, you'll be reunited with the Burmecian couple whose life you saved in Burmecia from the falling statue. You'll also get a forced ATE.
ATE: The Rally
Enter the Artist's Studio at the bottom right. Talk to the Artist and ask about the potion. Then check the far left corner of the room to find the Strange Potion.

Exit and take the stairs at the top left. You'll get a scene and Cinna ends up giving you the Unusual Potion. Go back up and enter the hideout.

Now head to the Business District. Enter the Inn and go upstairs.

Enter the house in the middle. Where does this guy even get all these?

Exit the house and head to the shop plaza area on the right.
Now here's a rough part you'll have to obtain here. In order to unlock a specific ATE, you will need to have LESS than 50 gil before you return to the castle. 49 gil is a safe amount. So using the shops/synthesis shop, take care of that now. Note: Do not synthesize a Pearl Rogue. It requires a moonstone. You can win Pearl Rogues at the Auction House in Treno.
Talk to the lady who used to be the Item Shopkeep and ask about the potion. She'll give you the Beautiful Potion. Now with all three potions, head back to the royal chamber for a scene. You'll have to head to the docks now to the new ship.
ATE: No Free Lunch | This is why you need less than 100 gil.
Before going to the docks, we gotta use the remaining sub 100 gil on a pickle. Head to the Business District and go to the open shopping area where Quina and Grandma are at. You'll pay for the pickles with whatever remaining gil you have. This will make the next ATE accessible.
Now head to Lindblum Castle and take the elevator to the bottom and take the trolley to Dragon Gate.
Treasure: Remedy | Same hiding spot as all the items in this area, behind the platform
Now take the trolley to Serpent's Gate.
Treasure: Chimera Armlet | Same spot as always as well, chest at the top
Now take the wooden path to the docks. Upon climbing the ladder, you'll get a forced ATE.
ATE: Give Me My Money
After that, you'll gain access to the Blue Narciss.
World Map Again, you'll have some time to hunt some frogs with Quina if you want. It's just good to continually catch frogs while you do the story so when you get to the end, you don't have to catch 99 frogs while waiting for respawns.
The gates will be done later. Revisiting Alexandria will occur after the final area, so if you're worried about time with regards to Excalibur II, leave it for later.
Anywho, make your way to the Black Mage Village.
Black Mage Village Head to the Cemetary and talk to No. 288. Then head to the Chocobo Stable and you'll be informed regarding the sandpits to the east.
World Map When you find what they're talking about, make sure you have at least 888 Gil. The ATE in Lindblum will have left you with 0 Gil, and you're gonna need 888 Gil for Stiltzkin.
Of the three pits, the one that doesn't have sand coming out is the Desert Palace. The other two are antlions.
Desert Palace Your entire party will get caught rather fast before you ever venture anywhere inside of this place, so no items here. As for party setup, you'll get two parties. First party, with Zidane, will head to Oeilvert where physical damage is more reliable. Bring Dagger her, as she currently is unreliable and Desert Palace is more difficult. As for the party that ends up staying in Desert Palace, magic is more reliable. So having Vivi there with Steiner for Sword Magic will help then using Eiko has your healer.
Enter the Hilda Garde 1 whenever you're ready.

Exit the room, go down the stairs and enter the right doorway.

Exit the room with the left entrance, then enter the left doorway on the lower level. Walking up to the globe will trigger a small set of dialogue.

Exit the room using the bottom left staircase. You'll be in the Ship Display room.
Treasure: Power Vest | Bottom right of the room

There are four glowing holes that you have to examine. The order is: Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Right, Bottom-Left.
Now exit the room upwards, and go enter the yellow door. The blue door is locked right now. In the next room, walk right until the screen changes and you see a grey orb. Examine it. Now go back to the blue door that was sealed. You'll get some more history.
Now make your way to the room with the moogles. The middle platform will trigger when you walk under it. After that, go to the right and activate the elevator to head to the boss room. Examine the middle platform.
Boss: Ark | You can steal a Holy Lance and Power Vest if you want, but he drops the ultra rare Pumice Piece (100%).
Take the Gulug Stone. This will switch the story over to the party over at the Desert Palace.
Desert Palace As most of the party is stuck, Cid will come to the rescue. Go down and go right for a minigame. Like with most approach games, make sure to only move when the enemy isn't looking.
In the next minigame, you'll have to pick the three heaviest weights to climb up. Cid sure is heavy for a frog. If you inspect the weights, you'll learn from left to right: Iron, Stone, Clay, and Wood. Pick the last option: Clay, Stone, and Iron. If you don't inspect the weights, then pick the last option anyways: B, C, and D.
Now the party will be released. You'll gain control of them. Go to the right back to that puzzle room to find a moogle. This mogshop is one of the last places to obtain the Fairy Flute, Mythril Claws, Trident, and Green Beret. Stock up if you want them.
Mognet: Pickup a letter from Mojito for Mogsam
Now head left two screens and go up the stairs. The objective of this area is to light up all the candles.
Examine the candle to the left and it'll make the bloodstone on the right glow.
Treasure: Promist Ring | Inspect the bloodstone on the right
Go up the stairs now. In this next room, walk left passed the statue and it'll reveal a light path. Take that light path up and to the next screen. To the right is a candle, light it. Then go back to the previous area and down the light stairs.
Treasure: Fairy Earrings | In the chest under the light path
Head left to the next area for the next set of candles. Light the three candles on the left side. Then go up the doorway above and wrap around to the right side. Only light the left candle. This removes the statues on the left side. Go back to the left side now. Light both candles in the middle. Then light the two candles on the right side, and you can finally light the last candle at the bottom.
Treasure: Anklet | Inspect the bloodstone in the middle of the room
Take the doorway to the right now. Examine the unlit candle right in front of the second statue (that you can see).
Treasure: Shield Armor | Inspect the bloodstone
Go up, then left to the stairs. You'll have to walk towards the screen to access the stairs. At the top of the stairs, light the candle there immediately at the top. Walk down to the next screen then go into the doorway to enter the library.
Light the far left candle. It'll reveal a staircase on the right. Take that staircase up and light the candle at the far left at the top. That'll move the bookcase up. Take the doorway.
Treasure: N-Kai Armlet | Inspect the bloodstone
Go back inside to the library. Go down the stairs then climb the miniature stairs and light the purple outlined candle. Go into the doorway.
Light the candle midway the stairs. Go to the top of the stairs and light up another candle. Go down all the way to the library again. Light the lowest candle now and go into the doorway. Light the candle here as well. Then go back into the library.
Go to the left through the wall to find a moogle.
Mognet: Deliver the letter to Mogsam from Mojito
Head left to the next area.
Light up both candles in front of the gargoyle.
Treasure: Black Hood | Inspect the bloodstone
Unlight the left candle. Go in the doorway and go across to the other side. Light up all three candles here.
Treasure: Venetia Shield | Inspect the bloodstone
Unlight the left candle in front of the gargoyle. This will make a light path show up on the right side. Take that stairs up to the next area.
Boss incoming when you light this final candle. Attempt to light it.
Boss: Valia Pira | The enhancement that this boss uses is based on how many bloodstones weren't inspected.
After the fight, now light the candle to activate the teleporter. Stand on the glowing floor and examine it and the story swaps back to Zidane.
Go down then right over to the teleporter. Take it inside. Kuja will ask Zidane to go alone, do so. You'll get some scenes, you lose Eiko and chase after Kuja. Set up a party.
Treasure: Namingway Card | This is an extremely rare card, as the only other place to get it is during that Card Tournament that you've passed. It's on the left side of this room.
Go to the teleporters and take the left one back to the airship. At the airship dock, go to the top all the way to progress.
Pull the lever to lower the ladder, and climb down to exit at the top left. You'll chase Kuja to the Lost Continent. Head West to enter Esto Gaza.

Now go right and into the next doorway. Follow the linear path up the stairs and back out the left, but on top. You'll be back in the same room as before but above.

Now return to the well, you'll be ambushed on the way. Once at the well, go left this time. At the fork, go left into the house.

Go back to the fork and go up into a different room with a moogle.
Mognet: Deliver the letter for Mogtaka from Moolan that you just got
Go upstairs, and into the next house on the right. You'll be ambushed upon passing the window going for the chest.

Now, go all the way back to the well. See that lever just left of it? Pull it down three times, then climb down the rope. You'll be ambushed again at the bottom of the rope.
Heal up, you got a boss fight incoming. I won't list the first one, but the second one will be listed.
Boss: Meltigemini | You can steal the Golden Hairpin and Demon's Vest, after that kill him.
Lindblum After some scenes, you'll wake up in the Guest Room of Lindblum Castle.

Head to the Conference Room just under the Royal Chamber for some information as well as two forced ATEs.

After some rather quick movement around the continent and what not, you'll be in the hands of the Hilda Garde 3.
Take to the Skies
Obtain an airship.
Hilda Garde 3 Land in Lindblum, then talk to the girl at the top to enter the ship and board to the bridge.
Climb down that ladder then go left. You'll see a crew member, Erin, on a ladder. If you leave this spot, you'll have to return to Lindblum then enter again so she spawns here, otherwise the hatch she was fiddling through is closed.

Make your way to the bridge now.
Melda Arch Head to Dali, then go a bit north down the cliff and you'll see a gate. North Gate: Melda Arch

Bohden Gate This one is located south from Melda Arch. If you go to the chocobo forest, you'll see two gates. Enter the upper one.

Treno Arch On the otherside of the South Gate on the world map, go over the mountain. You should see one giant gate, then three small gates. Two of the gates are up top, then one gate is down below. Enter the lower gate.

Daguerreo | Ipsen's Castle | Elemental Seals
Daguerreo On the world map, head to the southwest strip of islands. One of them is very big and round instead of thin and long. Go to that one. You should see a plateau with a cave/bridge and a waterfall. That's your destination.
Treasure: Capricorn | Go to the right down into the water, then you'll hit a fork. Take the path closer to the screen to find this item.
Now head to the opposite side of the room and up the left stairs. You'll be in a room with moving platforms, books, and some levers.
Pull the left lever twice, examine the hole, pick up the pole to the right of the lever and stick it in the hole. Now pull the right lever twice. This will fix the elevator here.
Weapon Shop: Last place to obtain: Octagon Rod, Rune Blade, Hamelin, Zorlin Shape, Tiger Fangs, Asura's Rod, Obelisk, Diamond Armor
Head to the right up the stairs and you'll be on the balcony on the second floor. Talk to the man in the middle. Agree with either one and you'll get either a Flare Card or a Meteor Card. Neither of them are rare.
Now examine the stack of books at the far right. Now go to the far left and talk to the scholar. Tell him you saw the books over there. Also press the button in between the item shop and the stairs to the weapon shop. Now the path behind the scholar at the library is unblocked. Go behind the bookshelves to find a ladder. Go down.

The middle is a spot to examine that will get you back to the upper level.
Ipsen's Castle Of the Forgotten Continent, which you're already on, you want to head to the northwest section of it where the mainland touches the straight of islands. You should see a ditch with a castle and patches of green.
Note: This area is reversed. This includes weapon damage. The less attack you have, the more damage you do. The more attack you have, the less damage you do. That's why you'll find a bunch of starting weapons. Oh, Amarant will also want to race you, make sure you accept.
Go up the stairs and into the castle.

Go up the steps and into the doorway.
Mognet: Deliver a letter to Kumool from Mogki

Climb down the pole, go up then right and climb the ladder there. Go left across the pathway and then out the doorway. Go into the other doorway. Hop on the ladder. Climb up a little bit.
Treasure: Broadsword | Jump off to the right, end of the path
Treasure: Javelin | Jump off to the left, end of the path
Go back to the ladder and go to the very bottom. Follow the linear path, up the stairs, and onto the ladder. Go up to the next set and immediately jump off to the right.
Treasure: Rod | End of the path
On the way back to the ladder you got off, you'll find another ladder. Get on that ladder and go up and into the doorway. Go to the red floored area and examine the middle of the right wall. Examine, Push, Pound, Think, keep picking choices until "Try something drastic" shows up. Pick that one. Then pick rest. You'll go through.
Treasure: Barette | In the chest on the balcony to the right (above the lower doorway you entered)
Go back in and take the elevator to the map room. Go to the wall and take all the mirrors. Boss incoming.
Boss: Taharka | You can steal Mythril Claws and the Orihalcon. Boss is a little slow and sleepy.
With the mirrors in hand, make your way out of the area. After going up the pole, Vivi will trigger a trap door. Find the trap door near the top and you'll fall down through it.
Treasure: Maiden Prayer | Chest
Exit the area to the front, now take the middle doorway that opened up. Follow the linear path until you get a catwalk room with a pole in the middle. Go to the left of it.
Treasure: Air Racket | Check, far left of the room
Go over to the giant pole which is actually an elevator. Move the pots counter-clockwise until you get a scene. Examine the pot for the Ancient Aroma.
Treasure: Golem's Flute | Chest
Now exit the castle completely to find that Amarant is still inside the castle. Go back to where you have that sliding pole. Go up to the very top of the pole and you'll jump on the chandelier with the two chests.

Now climb down the pole to the very bottom and check the bottom of the screen for Amarant. Exit the castle.
Breaking the Seal There are 4 seals and 8 party members. 2 Party members team up for each seal. Each seal has a guardian, but the only one that you have to fight is the one which Zidane goes to with Quina for the Earth Guardian. Having Bad Breath, Auto-Reflect is nice. Gear those two up, then deliver everyone to their destination.

Terra Once here, go down to the right to the next area. At the fork, take the left to the next screen.

Now after jumping back once, jump up to the next screen.

Now return to the very first fork at the stairs and go up to the next screen.

Go up all the way til you get to the glowing green orb. You'll get some scenes. Enter Bran Bal.
Bran Bal Eventually make your way to the storage room at the top right of Bran Bal.

Mogshop: Last chance to pickup a Zorlin Shape for synthesis.
Exit the storage room, then re-enter.

Exit the storage room. Go left one screen.
Treasure: Angel Earring | Examine the pond from the north on a small platform (similar to one that the NPC is standing on).
Now go south and you'll see the stairs. Go to the right at the stairs to find a secret path. Follow it.
Treasure: Flash Hat | At the end of the path
After all that, return to the pond where you got the Angel Earrings. Enter the left-most doorway, which is the inn. You'll get a few scenes. After that re-enter the inn.

Exit the inn, then enter the northern door. Go to the far right and down the stairs to reach the basement for some dialogue. Eventually, the female Genome goes up, fetch an item first.

Now go up for more dialogue. You'll eventually control Eiko.

Go to the right one map.

Now enter the doorway to the north

Talk to Quina here and he'll join the party. Exit where you come from. Then talk to Vivi to have him join you. Go down to the next screen, then talk to Amarant and he'll join you as well.
Now go up through the green light and across the bridge. Talk to the girl when you get to the other end.
Pandemonium You'll control Zidane after Eiko returns. Now this section is fairly straightforward. Garland explains a lot of the history, just keep following him.
Eventually, you'll pass out and be sulking in a throne. Now you'll be fighting a series of battles where you have to wait until Zidane enters or backup enters before you can defeat the enemy.
First Battle: Freya and Amarant back you up.
Second Battle: Steiner and Quina hold off an enemy before Zidane joins
Third Battle: Dagger heals Zidane on the third hit
After that, you'll join together with Dagger, Steiner, and Quina. Make your way back to join the rest of the party as well as get a moogle. Note: He still sells the Zorlin Shape.
Go all the way back to the throne.
Treasure: Holy Miter | Throne
Now head all the way to the left until you see a room with a ton of dots aligned. The top one has a button, press it. Now if you want to make this easy, having on fast forward, just run to the bottom left. There will be a light bridge here that is only available while the timer is up.
At the end of the bridge, enter and you'll be in a room with a weird module. Interact with it and set the standard heading to 3. Take the top path to call the elevator. Once you get off go up again. Don't go to the last circle, but the second to last and take it up again.
Treasure: 20007 Gil | Chest
Climb down all the way and go to the module again. Change it to 0 now. Try out all three paths only to be blocked on all three paths, then return to the module for your final ATE.
ATE: The Elevator | Set the heading to 4.
As Zidane, take the first path, then go all the way up and take the last path. It'll ask you to go up one floor, say yes. Now you have three ways to go. Top left, Top right, and bottom.
Take the top-left path and go up a floor. You'll be on a red circle. Go left to the blue circle and use it to go down. Go down and take the right blue circle to go down once more.
Treasure: Elixir | Chest
Now take that blue circle back up. Take the left blue circle now.
Treasure: Carabini Mail | Chest
Return to the blue circle and take it up. Take the red circle and take it down one floor. You'll be at the first circle with the three paths. Take the bottom one now.
Follow the path to a fork, take the bottom fork. Go up the blue circle. Use the other blue circle.
Treasure: Battle Boots | Chest
Take two blue circles down, then go take the other fork for another blue circle and take that route to the moogle.
Exiting to the right will lead into some boss fights.
Boss: Silver Dragon | You can still a Dragon Mail and Kaiser Knuckles. This dragon might be slow and sleepy as well.
Boss: Garland | He carries Battle Boots, Ninja Gear, and Dark Gear. Silence him and then slow him. Easy after that.
Boss: Kuja | Carries a Carbini Mail and a Light Robe. You can use slow him as well, and he does not have any physical attacks so shell will be important. Once you beat him, he'll send you off using Ultima.
Invincible Treasure: Pisces | In the chest to the left of the teleporter
Memoria
Memoria After landing, go up the long bridge to enter Memoria.
In the next screen, the orbs will serve as save points. It's also equipped to change your party as well.
Treasure: Kain's Lance | Behind the wall to the right at the top of the stairs.
Kain's Legacy
Obtain Kain's Lance.
Head up two screens. Now head up the stairs until you start heading left. There's a platform you can go onto. Just hug the bottom and you'll run out to it.
Treasure: The Tower | At the end of the platform
Close But No Cigar
Obtain the Tower.
Head left to the next screen. About 3/4 the way on this arcing path, you will face a boss.
Boss: Maliris, the Guardian of Fire | Main thing to note about this fight is that Maliris carries the Genji Armor equipment. It's one of two in the game. If you kill the boss without stealing it, then you can only get one (which is NOT missable). Other than that, have fun.
Putting Out the Fire
Defeat Maliris, the Guardian of Fire.
Head up to the next screen. Examine the tombstone and you'll see a series of events show up.
Treasure: Angel Flute | Examine the spot just left of the tombstone
The Ultimate Flute
Obtain the Angel Flute.
Right side is a hidden save spot.
Go right to the next screen. Climb the stairs for the next area. Then go up the steps and head right for the next screen.
Treasure: Rune Claws | Located immediately to the left before the stairs to the invincible eye
The Ultimate Claws
Obtain the Rune Claws.
Boss fight incoming. Fight initiates at the top of the stairs.
Boss: Tiamat, Guardian of Wind | Not much to note here.
In the next screen, go up the stairs. then follow the path right, down, then left. Go left and go up the swerving staircase. Now follow the one way waving stone path up. You'll get your next save point in this next screen.
Head to the next screen through the waterfall. After the cutscene with Quina, go behind the rocks to the right. You will find a (!). After examining it, pick 'Don't Leave' and you will initiate a fight with Hades.
Boss: Hades | You can steal a Reflect Ring if you want. Other than that, beat him. The reason you want to beat Hades is that he becomes the ultimate Synthesizer after you beat him.
He can synthesize a Pumice, Save the Queen (not useable), and Tin Armor among other special equips. (Do not synthesize the Pumice. You can get one from Ozma.)
Now head forward up the stairs. At the top of the stairs in this next screen, you'll face another boss.
Boss: Kraken, Guardian of Water | Like Maliris, Kraken carries a Genji equipment and the usual, it's one of two with the other not being missable. He has the Genji Helmet.
All Washed Up
Defeat Kraken, the Guardian of Water.
After that, go up the stairs. Follow the broken twisted path to the stairs. There's a save point hidden in the corner to the right just before the stairs. Go up the stairs and take the doorway to the left. In the next area, climb up the ladder to the top.
Treasure: Mace of Zeus | At the top of the first ladder, you'll be on a platform. There is a card phantom on the right corner. The left corner has this mace.
The Ultimate Mace
Obtain the Mace of Zeus.
Climb up the ladder and go through the doorway. Welcome to the Space of Gate where you will face your last guardian boss.
Boss: Lich, the Guardian of Earth | He has the Genji Gloves. Do what you must.
Hitting Rock Bottom
Defeat Lich, the Guardian of Earth.
If you stole all three pieces of Genji armor from the guardian bosses, then you'll get this achievement. If not, fret not. You can get them via the chocobo sidequest later.
Path of the Samurai
Obtain the complete set of Genji armor.
If you defeat Lich and the game timer is UNDER 12 hours, you will also have access to Excalibur II.

The Ultimate Sword
Obtain Excalibur II.
WARNING: Enter the doorway is the point of no return. If you have things you must complete, turn back now. However, this guide will make you go back anyways. If you want to do the final boss, skip ahead to the Memoria Finale. The only reason this guide visits Memoria instantly is to pick up Excalibur II within the 12 hour time frame. Now that we have that, you can do whatever you want.

Alexandria Upon entering, you'll be right where you first gained control of the game with Vivi. You will see a group to your right where you once went inside for items with the dizzy pattern rug.

Treasure: Ether | Examine the rubble right under Tom, who's now grown up.
Head up to the next screen to the square.

Driving the Hard Bargain
Purchase all items available from Stiltzkin.
Talk to him again to receive the Ribbon accessory.
Exit the steeple and head to the square. Go up to the next screen to the southern docks.

Take the boat to the castle.

You've cleared out Alexandria. You may go to the steeple to complete the Jump Rope minigame if you wish to. You need to jump 1000 times in one attempt. The PC version lets you simply click the (!) without worrying about timing.

Quan's Dwelling This is located right next to Treno behind some forest to the northeast. Make sure you bring both Vivi and Quina here, so change parties if needed.
Upon entering, go across the bridge and to the right.

Now go left and take the rope down.

If you've won the acution for: Doga's Artifact, Une's Mirror, Rat Tail, and Griffin's Heart, and then sold them back to the Nobleman and Adventurer, then Magical Fingertips is now available at the auction house. Buy it.
You can head to the pub and talk to the waitress who will also reveal your treasure hunter rank. If you talk to her upon reaching Rank S, Gilgamesh/Four-armed Man will stay in the game. If you don't want him to stay, then avoid talking to her.
Daguerreo Go into the right section and talk to the Four-armed Man. He will evaluate your Treasure Hunter Rank. If you followed this guide to the letter, your rank will be S even without touching Chocographs. This ranking is also available in the Treno Inn by talking to the waitress at the pub and Gilgamesh will stay in the game. (That's his name)
Another Man's Treasure
Receive certification as a Rank S Treasure Hunter

Mognet Central Sidequest This requires you to have a Gold Chocobo as well as one Dead Pepper. So, do the sidequest for the chocobos. Head to the island just northeast of Madain Sari. You will find a crack here, use a Dead Pepper while on your chocobo and he'll break in.
You end up getting a letter for Atla. So head to Burmecia. Atla is in the storage opposite to the armory at the very end. After giving Atla the letter, Atla gives you a letter to give to Mogryo.
Mogryo is in Black Mage Village next to the chocobo stable. Deliver the letter and receive one for Kumool.
Kumool is in Ipsen's Castle. He's just inside the second screen inside the castle itself. Deliver the letter and receive one for Mois.
Mois is in Qu's Marsh on the Mist Continent in front of Fossil Roo's entrance. Deliver the letter and receive one for Noggy.
Noggy is in Daguerreo. He's next to the elevator on the right side. Deliver the letter and receive one for Kupo.
Kupo is in Alexandria. He's in the steeple. Deliver the letter and he mentioned that someone should have Superslick. Go to Ruby's Mini-Theatre. She has superslick.

Memoria Finale Once you're ready, go all the way to where you fought Lich. Go through the doorway. You'll be spinning a ton, but just move up to go to the next area. If you want to go back, then move down.
You get a save point. Follow the linear path.
You will now fight three bosses in a row. Godspeed.
Boss: Deathguise | Simple fight. Nothing to worry about.
Boss: Trance Kuja | Kuja has high damage output, so keep a healing on standby. Other than that, not much to worry about. He will end the battle using Ultima as he often does.
You'll get a chance to swap your party member before the third boss. Swap what you need to, setup your abilities and whatnot. Your characters will be healed for this final boss.
Boss: Necron | He attacks hard and fast. Stay healthy, get ready to use esuna/heal and you should be good to go.
