Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel How to Get The Cards You Need For Your Deck? (A Guide For New Users)

Step 1: DO NOT Touch The Master Pack

NEVER BUY the Master Pack in the in game store.

This pack gives you random cards out of more than 8k cards in the game. You will not make any good deck out of it, not will you get the cards you need.

So, as you make up your mind on which deck you want to build, proceed to the next steps without wasting your gems on this pack.

Step 2: Locate You Cards In Which Pack Through The Search Menu

Sometimes, you might choose a deck you want to build from the Normal Packs or from others. If you want to build a deck from the Secret Pack, then make sure that the pack will be in store for many days since you might not get all the cards you need even with 9K gems. In the store, there are also Structure Decks, you might find a deck you want to build from there. These packs will always be in store for you if you want to buy. However, the cards in these Structure Decks are not good enough to beat good opponents, so you need to get better cards for your deck.

Step 3: Search Your Cards That Aren't In Normal Packs In Store

Sometimes, players don't find the cards they want in these normal packs in the store. It's fine since most cards aren't there anyway but they are in game and can be easily obtained. All you have to do is to enter the Deck in Main Menu, then Create or Edit Deck. After that, you will see the search bar, click on it and type the name of the archetype of the deck you are building and the cards you need. You will see all cards from this archetype available in MD. Cards rarities vary from N R to SR and UR. of course UR is the most valuable.

Step 4: Crafting A Card To Unlock A Secret Pack

Cards rarities vary from N R to SR and UR. of course UR is the most valuable. If you want to unlock these locked Secret Packs, you need to obtain at least 1 SR or 1 UR from this pack. You unlock secret packs for 24 hours, and usually the pack includes the whole archetype. You can craft a SR card from this archetype to unlock it. Then if you have many gems, you can go to the store and find the pack under Secret Packs section. Finally, you can buy many packs as much as you have gems.

The image posted in this guide shows how to find the pack that has the cards you want. For example, I searched Tearlaments Kashtira if I want to build this deck, and found that it has 2 packs for it. I craft this card to unlock the packs. Then, I can check the cards I need in these packs and buy the one I want.

Step 5: What If You Didn't Find The Cards In Any Pack?

Sometimes, players don't find the cards they want in these packs, so they just need to craft them. They are in game if they show when you search them.

Important Notes

NOTE 1: You will not unlock secret packs by crafting N or R cards from these packs, only SR and UR cards unlock secret packs.

NOTE 2: UR cards so valuable, and the odds of obtaining them are less than the SR cards. Hence, this is why you should craft SR not UR cards to unlock Secret Packs.
