Disclaimer
As stated in the description, this uses the game's built in commands system to get random-gene dogs. I would recommend this only for people who are truly stumped on a certain gene or just want to push the game and see some real wacky dogs.
Using The Command Box
Open whatever save file you want to do this on; I created one separately from my main file so I could speed up the process of hatching dogs without worrying about the dogs I actually bred. Once you've magically loaded into the game, press the keystroke Tab + \ or Tab + /
Done so, your game should look like this:
Once you have this open, use the text entry box to type in RandomDogGenes. You'll see an autofill prompt that says RandomDogGenes(bool val). To turn it on, type "RandomDogGenes true"; to turn it off, use "RandomDogGenes false". To exit the commands box, use esc.
Using The Egg Incubators
Now that you have this command turned on, you're well on your way to getting some weird dogs. Now, if you go into any egg incubator you have, you'll see your normally hatchable eggs, but if you click on the "default" dog egg, you will start seeing some not-so-default dogs. HOWEVER: trying to hatch a dog based on their appearance in this little window will not work. Their genes are randomized the moment the egg is hatched, so you'll get a surprise every time. Additionally, hatching your already-fertilized dog eggs WILL NOT randomize their genes, so you don't have to worry about that dog that you spent ages trying to breed getting scrambled by the game.
At this point, you can just hatch however many wacky, randomized dogs you want. However, if you want to expedite the process like I did, just set up a room with however many egg incubators you want, and start hatching the "default" dog from them. My setup looks like this:
You could definitely fit more egg incubators than that; I was messing around with it for maybe 10 minutes so I was lazy.
Have Fun!
This was basically the only way I was able to get some of the achievements, like One Winged Angel and Two Faced . I'm sure you can get some really colorful dogs from this, and even as someone who has sunk a chunk of time into this game, I saw quite a few mutations that I didn't even know existed. Have fun messing around! Post any interesting dog codes in the comments!
