Blightbound Unlocking Heroes

Disclaimer

Currently there are 17 heroes. Malborys, Scarlet and Korrus are unlocked during the tutorial.

Most heroes will be found downed in need of rescue, all you have to do is press F to revive them and prevent them from getting downed again by potential nearby enemies. After reviving and making sure they are safe, the hero will be unlocked even if the party is defeated.

Do be warned that if you decide to use the return to refuge button, located at the pause menu, heroes revived during that run will NOT be unlocked.

Creen And Triss

Every time you refresh the Merchant's stock there is a chance that Creen or Triss will appear available to purchase. After you buy them once, they are yours to keep.

Kromn

He can be found inside a cage at the west path in The Hemomancer.

Clegg

He can be found at the rightmost door in Underhold Depths. You will need to get the correct doors to open in order to be able to reach him.

To change which doors are open you'll need to restart the dungeon by party wiping, returning to refuge or dungeon victory.

Clegg will be locked in a cell, to open the cell's door you need to grab the key at the extreme east of the room.

Karrogh

To unlock Karrogh you will need to speak with him at the chapter 1 of Wodania's story in Answering the Call.

Ezzouhn

He can be found inside a cage in Khuliath, the Mountain Giant.

Seirinne

She can be found surrounded by gates in Dark Ritual.

Bu

To unlock Bu you need to speak with her at the chapter 5 of Seirinne's story.

Seirinne's chapters 1, 2 and 4 are straightforward and only require you to follow the exclamation points in the Dungeon Select. In chapter 3 you'll need to interact with a poison vial at Ronan's Crypt in Darkness Embrace.

Here's where Bu will appear in Seirinne's chapter 5. She will be trapped inside a cage in Khuliath, the Mountain Giant.

Mouse

She can be found near an altar in The Descent.

Wodania

She can be found at a corner in The Creeping Blight.

Nilbous

To unlock Nilbous you need to speak with him at the chapter 5 of Ezzouhn's story. Ezzo's story is pretty straightfoward, just follow the exclamation points in the Dungeon Select and make sure to speak to Nilbous at chapter 1 and 5 when you are at The Hemomancer.

Tek'ka

He can be found in the Large Crypt. The Large Crypt has a chance to be generated in Dark Ritual, Darkness Embrace and For Whom the Bell Tolls.

Keep in mind that the Large Crypt has two variations, one with red spikes at the entrance and one with a cage where Tek'ka may spawn in. If you get the red spikes variation it means that you got unlucky and will have to go for another dungeon run for another chance at Tek'ka spawning.

Roland

To unlock Roland you need to reach Refuge Level 19.

The biggest source of Refuge experience is saving survivors during missions. Survivors can be found in any map, to save a survivor you need to revive them and win the dungeon.

Kujuk

He can be found in the middle of spikes at the north path in For Whom the Bell Tolls.
