For those of you who run this on a laptop or just don't have constant internet;

FIRST YOU MUST HAVE RUN THE GAME AND STARTED A SAVE BEFOREHAND

(You may be able to do step 2 regardless but if you are not able to get that far then this guide will not help you at all)

Secondly, Open the game in Steam Online mode, on the main menu click the 'Offline Mode' tickbox

(if this changes later I might consider updating this guide, along with pictures if there is demand)

Thirdly, Exit the Game and restart steam in offline mode

Fourthly, Get into the game.

IF you see a popup box that blocks interacting with the menu and asks for a social tag (name) only to say authentication with steam failed upon entering one, you may not have followed the guide correctly, or something has changed on steams/games side

IF you see a popup box asking for an Email and a Password, you may not have followed the guide correctly, or again, something has changed on the games/steams side.

IF you just see the main menu (with the Offline Mode tickbox 'x' d) then you have followed this guide correctly and/or are randomly lucky this one time. You should be able to load your (local stored) save games or start a new game.
