Brief
Aluminum is one of the first non-basic resources you need and it's required to make your first food grower, which is a pretty key step. It can be found near the starting area, but depending on where you wander, you may not find the best spot.
Super alloy is similar, but a bit further beyond. It's used in a ton of crafting recipes and if you don't have access to the super alloy cave you're going to have a much harder time progressing. Trust me, I didn't find the cave for a long time and tried to rely on crafting super alloy, it made things way more challenging than necessary.

A Few More Things!
You can use T1 extractors in the Aluminum Hills biome to gather all materials necessary to craft super alloy. However, it does not extract these materials in equal chances as it will actually yield aluminum 25% of the time, iron 25% of the time, and 12.% for each of the remaining basic resources. So you can't simply drop an auto craft there and expect it to work gracefully. You'll need to be mindful of the extractors jamming up with the more common materials. This is also the case when you start using drones to move resources around, and you may even want to consider having excess materials brought to a shredder.
For this reason I recommend moving to the super alloy cave to gather super alloy as soon as possible and not invest heavily in crafting super alloy. I learned this the hard way!
