How to smash the a.i. with tanks and mustard gas on defence and offence with few to 0 casualties

How to smash the a.i. with tanks and mustard gas on defence and offence with few to 0 casualties

Tech

Research:

- 1st level of fighter planes (purely to defend against bombers)

- supply to lvl 2

- gold to lvl 2

- tanks

- mustard gas

The rest is optional, I'd go for pimping the infantry weapons a tad

Offence - Outflanking With And Without Tanks

Pick the most advantageous flank.

With infantry it is the one with most forest cover. With tanks it is the one with the fewest enemy victory locations.

Position a minimum number of defensive units to hold your own objectives, place the rest on the attacking flank.

Manually set two infantry units each to invade one trench.

Rush the tanks to the edge of the map to evade the enemy artillery angle.

Cover the attack with light arty for defense suppression.

Once one flank is conquered, roll up the enemy lines behind their arty range.

Offence - Mustard Gas Attrition

Make sure to have plenty local supply by fielding enough planes, infantry, tanks and lvl 2 supply depot.

Have 4 heavy arty with mustard gas tech and 1 observation balloon.

Now simply pick apart the enemy trenches with mustard gas.

Sometimes you can even win battles with 0 own casualties.

Defence

Tanks: depending on the enemy force, use either more cannon tanks (enemy fields tanks) or MG tanks (enemy is infantry heavy)

Arty: use heavy arty with mustard gas

Trenches: more important than trench level is covering the flanks. The a.i. loves to bum rush the edges of the map.

Place 2-3 layers of trenches with killzones. MG nests and mortars are a luxury as they are wasted post-battle. If you have enough supplies, go for them, otherwise invest the supplies in better trenches and arty gallore.

Trenches can look something like this:
