Map Of Nimbus III
Location of Accolades
Here I've shown each accolade's location in order. Some locations shown are approximate.
Paradise City
#1 - BarflyEnter the most popular establishment in Paradise.
Once again, this first accolade is the easiest. Just enter the bar in Paradise City. It should be just straight ahead once you beam down to Nimbus III.
#2 - Tipsy TopClimb to the top of the local, and only, bar in Paradise City.
These next three accolades require you to roof hoop in Paradise City. Fortunately, it should be possible to do all three one after another without having to start your roof hopping over again. If not, they all use the same initial method of getting on the roofs. There may be multiple ways of doing this, but this is the method I found first, and it works pretty well.
If you're at the bar, run back towards to the main Paradise City entrance. Off to the side (right if you just entered the city, left if you're coming back from the bar) will be a group of NPCs and some stairs. Go up these stairs and head left. You should eventually come to a dead end with a homeless/ill NPC. You'll need to jump onto four different ledges to start. I have highlighted them in the picture below.
The first ledge is the stair railing. Jump on it at the very end of the walkway (you may be pushed to the very edge of it once you land on it). Next, jump onto the first building ledge. Just past the corner edge of building ledge is a smaller, slightly hidden third ledge. Jump onto this, and from there, onto the final ledge: the roof.
Now, run along the roof toward the green tarp roofs. Fall down onto the building ledge that lead to these and jump onto them (CAUTION: All tarp roofs have small holes you can fall through where they connect to the building. Don't fall through them!) Across the way should be some more green roof tarps. Run and jump onto these. Now work your way around the building ledge (to the left) that the green roof tarps are connected to. You should eventually come across two very skinny beams leading up to a nearby taller building. Walk up these.
Once on the ledge of the taller building, turn left and keep walking forward until you hit a bright brown stone roof. Run and jump onto this (believe me, it's possible). Once up there, run foward, jump onto the next roof level, and turn right. At the very end of the roof should be a mess of metal leading around the corner (Almost like it was put there on purpose!). Jump on the this mess, turn the corner and work your way up to the roof. Now run to the very front of the building on the roof, and you should receive your accolade.
#3 - Watching the NothingScale one of the lookout posts in Paradise City.
Make your way to the roof of the previous section where you first encounter the bright brown stone roof. You'll either have to make your way down from the bar roof, or all the way back up, using the method from the entire previous section.
Instead of jumping onto the bright brown stone roof, turn in the direction of the front of the bar, and walk forward. You should come across some more green tarp roofs. Make your way across these by running and jumping to the other building's (remember the holes!).
Now on the roof of the other building, there should be a metal tower of sorts. Make your way up the slanted metal supports (they're steep, I know) to the top. You should get your accolade once you walk to the top. If you want, feel free to jump inside the tower!
#4 - Nimble on NimbusBalance yourself along the green tarps on the Paradise City walls.
Make your way to where you got off the two skinny beams connecting the tall and short buildings. Instead of going left, go straight (or right, if you want) and make your way across the building ledge. Turn right at the first intersection you come across, and stop at the corner.
There should be a ledge of another building straight across, but lower. Jump onto this ledge and turn right. Make your way to the really big slanted green tarps and walk up them and to the left. At the top-left corner of the tarps, a metal rod juts out above the streets below. You're going to have to jump onto this (be careful not to hit the metal wall when jumping).
Once you're on the rod, run and jump to the opposing building's ledge. Turn right, once you make it, and follow the ledge to above where we first started our ledge jumping. This should allow you to jump on the vertical green tarps that surround the city. Make your way all the way to the end near the city entrance, and you should recieve your accolade.
Ancient Ruins
#5 - Watch Your StepHop across the pillars in the ruins.
Once you're finished with the accolades in Paradise City, the next one I'd go to is the accolade located in Ancient Ruins. On the map, this is the top-left portion. It's not too far from Paradise City, but it's infested with sand worms.
Once you reach Ancient Ruins, head for the building at the very back with the pillars in front. This accolade requires you to jump onto these pillars. To make things easier, you can kill the sand worms right next to these pillars. To get on them, you need to go back of the building on either side and jump up the sand and over the railings. Make your way over to the pillars (I did the right ones, I assume the left ones work, too) and jump onto them all the way to the last one. You should get your accolade.
Gorn Canyon
#6 - Gorn AmbusherTake a leap off of a natural bridge to ambush Gorn.
You'll now need to make your way to the east side of the giant arch in the canyon to the south. Depending on where you are, transporting to Paradise City first might be a faster way to get there. This giant arch, however, is not the one you will be jumping off (unfortunately).
To the east of the giant arch, is a small rock outcropping. Make your way past the outcropping toward the canyon, and make your way down the cliff sides and switchbacks to the smaller arch. This is the arch you'll need to jump off. Whether you actually have to attack any Gorn is unknown, but my guess is you don't have to. If you fail to get the achievement for whatever reason, you'll need to make your way back up the path at the end of the canyon to the arch and try again.
Orion Stronghold
Secret Achievement - Why Are You Climbing a Mountain?Do you love the mountain?
Now make your way to the entrance to the Orion Stronghold to the north. You may have to fight through a bunch of scorpions depending on your route to get to the mountain entrance.
This secret achievement is achieved by scaling the edge of the mountains to your right at the entrance right before you cross under the large hull of the crashed ship. Make your way up the long pseudo-path until the accolade is unlocked.
#7 - True EngineerExamine the inside of a destroyed engine near the outskirts of the Orion Stronghold.
Make your way back to the mountain pass entrance under the hull of the large crashed ship and continue towards the stronghold. The first "intersection" you come across should lead to two dead ends on either side. On the right side, there is some crashed junk on a hill. One of these is a hollow cylinder looking piece of junk. You'll need to jump up the hill and jump inside of this "engine" to get this accolade.
#8 - Cockpit ObserverClimb the ruins of a destroyed ship near the Orion prison.
This last accolade appears if you continue down the mountain pass entrance to the stronghold. Eventually on your right will appear a long tunnel made up of a crashed ship hull that leads to the prison.
You'll need to make your way onto the top of this hull. This, however, is where I'm unclear on exactly what's needed. When I got this achievement, I was fooling around on this hull and the accolade was given to me. I'm not sure exactly what I did to trigger it, nor do I know where the "cockpit" this accolade speaks is.
I didn't stray too far from the beginning edge of the tunnel hull, though. Unfortunately, that's all I have on this accolade. I hope it helps! If you have more information on this accolade, I'll gladly implement it.
