Blur Reduction Guide (NO MODS NEEDED)

Method 1: Change Anti-Aliasing Method, Or Disable It Entirely

In the Graphics settings, try and change the Anti-Aliasing method between FXAA and TAA to see which one looks sharper to you. You could even switch it to Off, which is the sharpest by nature but leads to jagged edges.

Method 2: Contrast Adaptive Sharpening Via Reshade

Go to https://reshade.me/ and download the latest exe of the Reshade installer, select your Sonic Frontiers executable, select DirectX11 as the rendering API, and when you're selecting effect packs to download, be sure to download the pack that includes AMD FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS) (I forget which one has it but I know for a fact it says it has it in the description). In-game, press Home to open the Reshade menu and enable the CAS effect. Increase the sharpening intensity to your likening. I'd also recommend both enabling the Performance Mode toggle after you finish deciding on your preferred intensity, as well as going into the Reshade settings tab and enabling Load Only Enabled Effects if you don't plan on messing around with more effects and just want a set preset.

Method 3: Supersampling From A Higher Resolution

I AM NOT SURE HOW TO ADD CUSTOM RESOLUTIONS ON AMD AND INTEL HARDWARE, but on Nvidia GPUs, you can go into the Nvidia Control Panel, and select Manage 3D Settings. From there, you will want to enable Dynamic Super Resolution[www.nvidia.com] (more info about it on the Nvidia website) via the DSR - Factors. For which internal resolution to choose, I'd only recommend going to "the next step" from your native output resolution. Using YouTube's resolution presets as a guideline of all things,

Output Resolution Internal Resolution 720p 1080p 1080p 1440p 1440p 2160p

If you're using DSR, I'd strongly suggest lowering the smoothness slider down to either 0% as I don't think it looks that good, or a very low amount if you plan on keeping AA off.

Now, go into Sonic Frontiers and it's Graphics settings, and be sure the highest resolution now available is selected.
