Snowrunner: The Complete Truck Guide

Snowrunner: The Complete Truck Guide

Introduction

The purpose of this guide, is to help you boys and girls choose the most suitable truck for your needs, so we'll be exploring each and every truck in the game!

Each truck will have displayed:

- The name of the truck

- The price

- The region it's from

- Its Off-Road capabilities on a scale of 1-to-10 (1 being "shopping cart" and 10 being "literally unstoppable")

- Its Hauling capabilities on a scale of 1-to-10 (1 being "barely able to move itself" and 10 being "it can move a whole building")

- A short comment by me

Each scout vehicle will have displayed:

- The name of said vehicle

- The price

- The region it's from

- Its Off-Road capabilities on a scale of 1-to-10 (1 being "shopping cart" and 10 being "literally unstoppable")

- A short comment by me

Just to clarify, the low hours i have on Steam are not the total time i spent on the game. Before the launch on Steam, i spent nearly 450 hours on the EGS version of the game.

All trucks have been/will be tested in the test grounds (may seem strange but even if i played all these hours i still haven't used all of the available trucks) in fully upgraded form.

The type of controller used is an Xbox One Wireless gamepad.

Also, while during normal playthrough i use some mods, i won't use any of them since it'll break the purpose of this guide. But i'll be sure to recommend the ones i have if you feel inclined to use them.

Any opinion and comment is accepted, provided you keep it on a constructive level. Gratuitous flaming will not be welcome.

WARNING: This guide is still a Work in Progress. I have no idea when it will be finished. At any point i may edit my comments on the trucks, their evaluations or even both. Also, i will add new trucks as they get released. IF by coincidence i make a mean comment on your favourite truck, DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY, these are my opinions.

General Tips For The Game

Tip #1: Always be aware of how much fuel you have left. You definitely don't want an empty tank at literally 10 meters from the objective.

Tip #2: DON'T PANIC! (like that strange space guide says). With enough patience and hard work you can fix any problem you may encounter while driving. Example: You tipped a truck? Stay calm and bring another truck to put it back on its wheels. Also this is a videogame, it's not real life so.. please, spare your computer screen from unnecessary punching and headbutting.

Tip #3: Always plan the course ahead. Each map has unique roads and passages, and some of them will be almost impossible to traverse without the right truck. Remember, the shortest path ain't always the best or the safest.

Tip #4: The winch exists for a reason. Use it. It can get both your trailer and your truck unstuck from ugly situations.

Tip #5: If for some reason the winch doesn't get you unstuck you have 3 options:

- Recover: will reset your truck to the garage fully repaired and fully loaded with gas. You'll lose time and possibly the load you were carrying (if the trailer can't be moved)

- Bring another truck to help yourself get unstuck either with the other truck itself or with a crane

- Try using the winch from a different point. In Snowrunner, the farther the winch point is, the stronger the pull.

Tip #6: Try to avoid to get unstuck by winching from the trailer, unless you want to tip your truck and your precious cargo. Trailer-winching to get unstuck requires practice and patience, and it doesn't always work.

Tip #7: Learn from your mistakes. If you know a certain trailer tips easily or a truck is not able to traverse a certain road, change it up! Use different paths, different trucks, different trailers.. Heck, even a different ingame hour can change the outcome.

Tip #8: Cranes are extremely useful, but they weight A LOT and make the truck much more unstable (especially the big crane). Be aware and as always plan ahead.

Tip #9: To change truck you don't always need to go all the way back to the garage. You can either go near the truck you want to swap in (if it has been taken out of the garage of course) or you can open the map and select it on the list on the left side.

Tip #10: If a mission bound trailer or semi-trailer is stuck and/or bugged, you can always restart the mission to also reset the trailer. Activate the map, select you current job then press the button that says "Restart". Yes, you'll lose time, but at least you'll have another chance at delivery.

Tip #11: Bought a truck or a trailer you don't like? Sell it! In Normal Mode you'll be able to sell AND receive the full amount spent back! Although, in Hard Mode, you can sell for half the price, and trailers can't be sold back.

Tip #12: Don't be afraid to ask for help! If you are in need of help, go to the subreddit of the game, the official forums or even the Steam community page and ask away! Somebody will offer help to unlock trucks or missions, doing contracts and so on..

Tip #13: Need some ingame cash/experience fast? Contests are your answer! Contests are timed contracts, where depending how much time you take to complete it, you'll be compensated accordingly. Also, in Normal Mode, you can complete them how many times you want!

Tip #14: To buy trucks you have to travel to the region it's from. Example: Want to buy a Freightliner? You'll only find it in the USA or Canada. Want to buy an Azov? You gotta travel to Russia. BUT, once you bought the truck, it can be used in any region you want to.

Tip #15: Problems with poor performance? Low FPS? Try lowering the rendering distance, the shadow quality or the Anti-Aliasing. IF you have still poor performance, either think about upgrading your computer or keep lowering the graphics quality until the performance is where you want it.

Suggested Mods For A Better Experience

1 - Fuel Capacities based on Real Data

Link: https://snowrunner.mod.io/fuel-capacities-based-on-real-data

Probably one if not the most essential mod of all. Rebalances all the fuel capacities of all the

trucks. Makes your playthrough way more enjoyable. Extremely recommended if you want to play

in hard mode for added realism.

2 - Off-Road Trailers

Link: https://snowrunner.mod.io/semi-flatbed-off-road

Another (in my opinion) essential mod. Converts all the trailers and semi-trailers tires from

Highway tires to Off-road and/or All-terrain tires for better stability and traction. Most of the time

you won't be on paved roads, so why not?

3 - Medium Log Bunk - Generic addon

Link: https://snowrunner.mod.io/medium-log-bunk-generic-addon

A really useful one. Makes you able to install the Medium Log Bunk Addon to most trucks, even

modded ones! A must-have for logging enthusiasts.

4 - Free The Logs: Auto load logs on modded/tweaked trucks/trailers

Link: https://snowrunner.mod.io/free-the-logs-auto-load-logs-on-modtweak-trucks

Simple mod that makes the auto load function for logs work on modded trailers and trucks.

Needed if you use modded trailers and/or addons.

5 - Poghrims Trailer Pack

Link: https://snowrunner.mod.io/poghrims-trailer-pack

Great selection of custom trailers. Especially useful if you want small yet useful trailers for both

Scout trucks and full-size trucks. Has some of the best tilt-deck trailers around.

6 - Poghrims Universal Addon Collection

Link: https://snowrunner.mod.io/poghrims-universal-addon-collection

A selection of vanilla-like custom addons for basically any truck in the game (even modded

ones). Not essential for an enjoyable playthrough but definitely a great addition.

7 - Low trailer pack

Link: https://snowrunner.mod.io/low-trailer-pack-yansors

A quite big selection of custom trailers and low saddle semi-trailers. Has one for every taste.

Again, not essential, but a welcome addition. The medium/long logs semi-trailers are extremely

useful

8 - RNG TX Armored Truck Pack + Bridge layer mod

Link for the trucks: https://snowrunner.mod.io/rng-tx-armored-truck-pack

Link for the Bridge layer: https://snowrunner.mod.io/rng-tx-bridge-layer

One of the best modded trucks available as of now. Extremely detailed. A must-have for military

fans. Although, may feel a bit OP in certain regions. The bridge layer mod is simply

gamechanging.

TO BE CLEAR:

I did not create any of these mods and i do not take credit for any of them. All creations belong to the respective owners/content creators. If you download any mod (not just the few i mentioned in this guide) ALWAYS respect the creator (unless its stolen content, if it's stolen go all out with the reporting).

Highway Trucks

Snowrunner: The Complete Truck Guide image 96
Snowrunner: The Complete Truck Guide image 97
Snowrunner: The Complete Truck Guide image 98

Highway trucks are generally unusable outside of paved roads, but with good hauling potential. As a tradeoff, you get one for free and the others are very cheap.

Name: Ford CLT9000

Price: 41300 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 3/10

Hauling: 7/10 on paved roads; 3-4/10 on off-road situations

Comment: Good hauler, nice performance figures and readily available at the start. Hindered by the lack of any off-road worthy customization, save for a suspension lift and off-road tires. May be able to traverse dirt and very light mud, very discouraged the use on deeper mud. Is actually an effective choice in maps with paved roads.

Name: GMC MH9500

Price: 26300 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 2/10 (stock) 7/10 (fully upgraded)

Hauling: 7/10

Comment: In stock form its quite laughable, with horrid grip and no off-road parts. But once you start to get upgrades for it, it'll evolve into a solid off-road truck. Unfortunately the engine isn't exactly the best, but it is enough to move 2 to 4 slots of cargo efficiently. The AWD requires a DLC, be aware. Also, you get this truck for free at the start of the game!

Name: International Transtar 4070A

Price: 31900 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 2/10

Hauling: 6/10

Comment: Probably the one of the worst in the game. I personally discourage the use of this truck. Shame tho, it looks cool.

Heavy Duty trucks. With their good P/W ratio combined with a wide versatility and relatively low price, these trucks will be your best friends for quite a while.

Name: Caterpillar CT680

Price: 56300 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 6/10

Hauling: 8/10

Comment: A great truck. Lots of power and a staggering P/W ratio make this truck a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately has no lift kit, so obstacles will be problematic. The rear suspension won't flex anytime soon. That means that on the road it'll be a smooooth experience, while off-road it'll bounce if speeding.

Name: Caterpillar CT681

Price: 78800 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7/10

Hauling: 7/10

Comment: Underestimated truck. It's heavy, powerful and has a dead axle for better weight distribution. Even if it lacks a lift kit, the ground clearance it's enough to make it off-road worthy. Probably the only truck ingame that if a crane is installed, will maintain a P/W ratio of S. That makes it into an almost perfect crane truck. If only it wasn't so easily tipped on rougher roads..

Name: Chevrolet Kodiak C70

Price: 33800 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7/10

Hauling: 4/10 if semi-trailers are used; 6/10 if simple trailers and/or flatbeds are used

Comment: A cheap and quite powerful hauling machine. Although, if you use semi-trailers of any kind will wheelie a LOT, especially if under heavy load. Also it's only 4x4, so it may handle more like a big pick-up rather than a proper truck.

Name:GMC Brigadier 8000

Price: 107200 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 5/10 if under heavy load; 7/10 if under light to moderate load

Hauling: 7/10

Comment: Great torquey engine, coupled with the relatively low weight make this a solid choice in Michigan and Alaska. For the rest of time it handles like a bigger MH9500. Since it's a DLC truck, has the advantage of having most upgrades only level locked. Plus, like most DLC trucks, it's available as soon as you enter the first time your garage.

Name: International Fleetstar F2070A

Price: 30000 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7/10

Hauling: 4/10 if on rough terrain; 7-8/10 if on smoother terrain

Comment: A cheap, early gotten powerhouse. May actually surprise you for how it simply hauls even very heavy loads. A good early crane truck. Unfortunately, the chassis is so long it literally has a tail. That "tail" prevents it to overcome steep hills/roads. Also it is quite bouncy, making it very tippy.

Name: International HX520

Price: 172300 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7/10

Hauling: 8-8.5/10

Comment: An all-out powerhouse (once you unlock the top engine). Can haul anything and almost anywhere. The turn radius ain't the best due to the long chassis, but it grants a good stability on most terrains. Also, at least for me, it is one of the coolest looking trucks ingame.

Name: White Western Star 4964

Price: 48800 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7/10 on light load; 6ish/10 on heavier loads

Hauling: 8/10

Comment: The wide boi. The wheelbase is very wide, granting excellent stability on most terrains. You can get it for free quite early in the game and the upgrades are all found in the same map you found the truck in. Unfortunately it is outclassed and outperformed once you take it on deeper mud. A good replacement if you find the Fleetstar too lacking in some aspects.

Heavy trucks. The biggest, meanest and most expensive beasts you can get in Snowrunner. Only a handful of roads ingame will slow down these monsters. Be ready to carry spare fuel, as they possess the efficiency of an aircraft carrier.

Name: Azov 42-20 Antartctic

Price: 140700 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 10/10

Hauling: 8/10

Comment: The ultimate weapon against ANYTHING the game throws at you. Will carry up to 4 slots of cargo anywhere, anytime.. Nothing will slow it down or stop it.. well, apart from the empty tank it'll leave in less than 20 minutes. Plus, you'll be able to buy it only at the last levels. Ah, almost forgot, it is an articulated truck, so getting used to the different type of steering requires a bit of time.

Name: Azov 73210

Price: 89100 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 9/10

Hauling: 8-9/10

Comment: Probably one of the best trucks you can get. Unlocked fairly late, this 10x10 behemoth will get you anywhere and carry anything without any hassle. Just watch out for the very fast fuel consumption and the low hangin bumper. It's actually the cheapest of the lot, as it is the only heavy truck under 100K Cr and it's also one of the most versatile ones.

Name: BOAR 45318

Price: 181000 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road:7-8/10

Hauling: 8/10

Comment: Two words: small wheels. For a heavy truck, it has very small wheels compared to the weight and the size. Although, if you keep in on light mud, and not-that-rough terrain, it'll perform quite good. Stay away from deep mud, since it has no mud tires and once it gets stuck, nothing short of another truck can move it.

Name: Caterpillar 745C

Price: 129400 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 9-9.5/10

Hauling: 5/10

Comment: The american cusin of the Azov Antarctic. Brutal amount of power and offroad proficiency are the main selling points of this monster. Plagued by being very limited with what it can haul. The fuel tank addon makes this truck a great refuelling machine.

Name:Caterpillar 770G

Price: 168800 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 8/10

Hauling: 3/10

Comment: Another Caterpillar powerhouse. The giant wheels and the power alone can make it traverse mud with extreme ease, unfortunately it's only RWD, so it'll struggle from time to time. Also it's extremely limited in what it can carry, even more so than the 745C, being able to carry only a single unique trailer and a huge fuel tank.

Name: DAN 96320

Price: 129400 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 7-8/10

Hauling: 7-8/10 if using flatbed+flatbed trailer; 6/10 if using heavy semitrailers

Comment: Gorgeous machine. Indipendent suspension, top notch engine and good agility are the main strong features. Unfortunately struggles quite a bit in deep mud and when hauling heavy loads. Also, can't traverse deep water due to not having any snorkels available.

Name: Derry Longhorn 3194

Price: 133900 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7-8/10

Hauling: 8.5-9/10

Comment: A brute. Subpar handling, cant do a decent hairpin and has a turning radius comparable to the Titanic. But when it comes down to pulling semitrailers, few can be as effective as this. The enormous power will get you almost anywhere and the lift axle is actually useful. Just don't use that axle all the time or you'll worsen the already high fuel consumption.

Name: Derry Longhorn 4520

Price: 146300 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road:6/10

Hauling: 5/10

Comment: Horrendously underpowered. It's a shame, since it has really useful features, like rear wheel steering, high placed snorkels and big fuel tank.. but that engine simply can't deliver, and it's even worse if you need to climb.

Name: KOLOB 74760

Price: 135000 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 10/10

Hauling: 8/10 because it can only use heavy trailers

Comment: Simply the best in the game for heavy trailers. No other truck can compare. The best engine, some of the biggest tires and being the heaviest in the game are just a few of the features of this gargantuan truck. Although, you may want a few fuel trailers around the path to keep it fed. Plus, the stock ride height isn't exactly the best: i highly suggest to go and get the active suspension upgrade ASAP.

Name: Kolob 74941

Price: 118200 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 10/10

Hauling: 8/10 because it can only use heavy trailers

Comment: The almost-twin brother of the previous KOLOB. The main differences are the looks and the fact that this one can activate and deactivate both AWD and Diff Lock while on the other truck is always on. Oh and this one has a huge nose in the front, you may want to watch where you are going to avoid awkward situations.

Name: Navistar 5000-MV

Price: 140100 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7-8/10

Hauling: 8/10

Comment: A great truck. An hauler through and through. May lack the Diff.Lock for tougher situations (in deep mud can get easily stuck), but most of the time it just rolls thanks to its big wheels and high amount of torque. You may need to watch out for fuel, as it can consume north of 30 Liters/min making the truck useable for a mere 10 minutes.

Name: Pacific P12

Price:126600 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 8-9/10

Hauling: 8/10

Comment: A true jack-of-all-trades. Can and will do it all, provided you got the patience. Has good torque but its slow, and thanks to that, it sometimes can't get enough inertia to get through mud easily. Makes a great rescue truck thanks to the relatively good efficiency (compared to other heavies) and the availability of the big maintenance addon. Althoug, stay clear of deep water: it has no snorkel available.

Name: Pacific P16

Price: 140700 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 8/10 due to lack of AWD

Hauling: 7/10 since it can only haul either logs or heavy trailers

Comment: Big Daddy. Barn On Wheels. Many nicknames for one of the most unique trucks ingame. Its slow, needs a day or two to turn, it's the second heaviest truck ingame and you can't change its wheels. But it's one of the few handful of trucks that can move anything even in the worst mudpits. Will need the winch from time to time to regain inertia though. Also it has the BEST horn in the biz, trust me.

Name: Pacific P512PF

Price:135000 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7-8/10

Hauling: 8.5/10

Comment: A great and versatile hauler. Compared to the P16, here the lack of AWD is more noticeable, and like its other Pacific brothers, without inertia it gets stuck. Great for hauling long logs thanks to its ability to mount both the log crane and the long logs addon. Compared to other heavies, has a very small fuel tank. Also, like the P16, lacks the ability to change tires.

Name: International Paystar 5600TS

Price: 126600 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 9/10

Hauling: 9/10

Comment: The american cousin of the Azov 73210. Just as powerful and even more versatile since it's the only truck ingame able to mount a van body addon AND a low saddle. It WILL tear through mud easily, but will last mere minutes due to the extreme fuel consumption. Good thing you can bring along a fuel trailer if needed right?

Name: TATRA T813

Price: 202501 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 10/10

Hauling: 8-9/10 with sideboard bed+trailer; 7-8/10 with heavy trailers

Comment: It's a friggin' TATRA. Period. If you know your trucks, you know what i'm talkin' about. If not, keep reading. Tatra is the third oldest car(until 1999) and truck maker IN THE WORLD, they know how to build an off-road truck and this is the proof. An 8x8 cold war legend. Won't stop in front of nothing, burns A LOT less fuel than most other heavies and has independent suspensions.

Shortcomings? Extremely expensive, with heavy trailers it'll struggle on steeper hills and very deep mud, and doesn't have the best ground clearance. PS: if it wasn't clear enough, it's my fave both IRL and ingame.

Name: Western Star 49X

Price: 140700 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7-8/10

Hauling: 8-9/10

Comment: An heavy duty truck with a powerhouse under the hood. The lift axle may drag in deeper mud, but during normal use gives a sizeable boost to ground clearance. Can basically haul anything but uses a bit too much fuel doing so. Oh, and like many american trucks, it lacks proper mud tires, but thanks to that monster under the hood you won't miss 'em.

Name: Western Star 6900 TwinSteer

Price: 118200 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 9/10

Hauling: 6/10 since it can't use any type of trailer

Comment: Probably one of the most popular trucks in the Snowrunner community, and for a good reason. Extremely powerful engine, 4 slots of cargo without needing any addon and huge tires. Unfortunately tips A LOT, and getting it back on its wheels is quite painful. Also has a gargantuan thirst for fuel and the extremely useful AWD upgrade is locked behind a DLC.

Name:ZiKZ 605R

Price: 191600 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 10/10

Hauling: 10/10

Comment: Possibly the best truck in the game (at least at the time of writing). Imagine the TATRA T813. Got it? Alright, now mix it together with one of the KOLOBs. You get this beauty. If you send it, it'll SLAP in any condition. It isn't fast by any means, uses a lot of fuel and it's expensive. Also, you can't change tires, but as the ingame description says "it can haul virtually anything so long as it's not nailed to the ground". And trust me, it feels like an understatement.

Off-road trucks will be your best friends in the game. Lightweight, agile and powerful, these zippy and moderately priced machines will be the backbone of your fleet.

Name: ANK MK38

Price: 75000 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 10/10

Hauling: 8/10 due to being able to haul only 4 slots

Comment: USA's lean, mean off-roading machine by definition. Will rip through mud like it's a paved road, has a stupidly high P/W ratio and has mud tires. Perfect? Almost, if it wasn't for the extreme thirst for fuel, the very small tank, being prone to tipping like few other trucks and having only a flatbed. Also, the horn is simply amazing. PS: want to have fun with this truck? Install the top engine and the highway gearbox.

Name: Azov 5319

Price: 82100 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 8.5/10

Hauling: 8.5/10

Comment: A russian Do-it-all machine. It can haul basically any cargo and almost anywhere, thanks to the always on diff. and AWD and a generous amount of power. Unfortunately it has the same problem the ANK has: thirsty and small fuel tank. Although, this is a tad more stable.

Name: Azov 64131

Price: 93800 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 9/10

Hauling: 9/10

Comment: A slow, heavy universal truck. Does it all provided you got the patience. Will go through anything and has a very low fuel consumption. Combined with the generous fuel tank, it has great endurance. Although, it occasionally gets stuck on bigger obstacles and when goin through difficult terrain the fuel consumption gets quite high, but if you slam it in Low gear, it'll crawl itself out of trouble. Not long ago was actually nominated "the best truck ingame" by the community.

Name: Freightliner 114SD

Price: 93800 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7-8/10

Hauling: 8/10

Comment: A surprising truck. What it lacks in torque, makes up in low weight and good ground clearance. Most of the time it'll have a great endurance, but once you get into mud or steep hills the fuel consumption will quickly rise to alarming levels. A very balanced machine, unfortunately it's unlocked fairly late, and by that time you'll probably have better trucks.

Name: Freightliner M916A1

Price: 89100 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 8/10

Hauling: 9/10

Comment: A small, agile truck. Great torque and short wheelbase only contribute to that definition. But once fitted with the lift kit, will become quite tippy, so exercise caution. Also has a quite high fuel consumption, sometimes scaringly high. But will haul almost anything without a problem. The main concern? It has that damn structure behind the cabin that hinders semi-trailers. Not an issue with vanilla ones, but may cause problems with modded trailers.

Name: International Paystar 5070

Price: 82100 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7-8/10

Hauling: 8/10

Comment: A balanced starter truck, as it can be bought straight away as soon as you enter the garage your first time. Will haul most cargoes with ease, although heavy trailers might slow it down too much. Also has a somewhat balanced fuel consumption, but raises as soon as you get on harsh terrain. A great choice for Michigan and Alaska, but will be quickly outperformed once in Russia. Still, even then, maintains a certain balance other trucks don't have.

Name: KRS 58 "Bandit"

Price: 125400 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 8/10

Hauling: 7-8/10

Comment: Nice 8x8. Comes at stock with a crane and a sideboard bed. Still, with the base configuration it won't be that good. The top engine provides lots and lots of torque, but raises the fuel consumption to terrifying levels (won't last more than 10 minutes sometimes) and having a tiny tank of 150L won't improve the situation. At least you can slap a roof rack on and carry more fuel around. Also, it's crazy tippy if you are not careful.

Name: Royal BM17

Price: 122100 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 8/10

Hauling: 8/10

Comment: A true beast. Huge wheels, high torque and intimidating looks. Will rip through the landscape like few other trucks, provided you can keep up the inertia because this truck doesn't have a diff.lock option, limiting its deep mud capabilities. Also it may have a generous fuel tank, but it can be dried up quickly if driven carelessly. On the bright side, can haul most cargoes without a problem on easy to moderate difficulty roads and can be found for free relatively early. All in all it's basically the Navistar 5000 with a less powerful engine.

Name: Step 310E

Price: 89100 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 8/10

Hauling: 8/10

Comment: The russian White Western Star. As long as you don't hitch heavy trailers, it'll move almost any cargo with relative ease thanks to a very reduced weight and a crazy high torque under the hood. Unfortunately, doesn't have mud tires, so it might get stuck from time to time. In that case, take out the winch and slam it in Low gear.. On an even brighter note, it can be found and kept for free!

Name: TATRA 805

Price: 39400 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 9/10

Hauling: 3/10

Comment: Don't be surprised by the staggeringly low Hauling value i put, this cute little truck isn't made for hauling, it's made for on-field refuel and repairs, a scout disguised as an off-road truck. Like it's bigger brother in the Heavy class (the T813), has crazy high off-road potential and a powerhouse under the hood. Although, it's quite fast even with the slowest gearbox so you might want to be careful on tighter turns and hilly terrain, since it does not posses an autonomous winch. Also, the horn is stupidly cute and has a great fuel efficiency while mudding.

Name: Tayga 6436

Price: 75000 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 9/10

Hauling: 8-9/10

Comment: A truly magnificent truck. Since the launch of the game has bee considered one of the best truck ingame, and for good reason. The right weight, lots of torque and big baloon mud tires. Unfortunately, in stock form is rather disappointing, since it'll be a big truck with mediocre tires and without the necessary ground clearance to not get stuck. Also has an enormous fuel consumption with the top engine, like north of 22 Liters/Min. On the brighter side? Can be found for free!

Name: TUZ 108 "Warthog"

Price: 34200 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 9/10

Hauling: 4/10

Comment: Another scout/rescue vehicle disguised as an off-road truck. Only this time, the available torque is gargantuan, the round clearance is great and the tires bigger. A brutal mud-runner (the pun may or may not be intended) in the true sense of the word. Downsides? May be found for free but it's DLC locked in one of the most frustrating regions ever added, it's tippy with the highest suspension upgrade and might consume a bit too much fuel in difficult situations.

Name: TUZ 16 "Actaeon"

Price: 70400 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 9/10

Hauling: 4/10

Comment: Guess what? Yet ANOTHER discguised scout/rescue truck. But, finally, we have the autonomous winch! Oh and a terrifying all-terrain potential is there too. This thing SLAPS once you get enough inertia. Will get through anything, although you might need to watch the fuel, as it can dry up the tank very quickly. Unfortunately it's DLC locked like the TUZ 108 and in the same region too.

Name: Voron AE-4380

Price: 82100 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 9/10

Hauling: 8/10

Comment: Russia's lean, mean off-roading machine. Can be considered the ANK's slav brother. The difference between the two? This one is very versatile and can cactually carry most of the cargo ingame without much worries. Save for fuel, since it'll drink up the whole tank a bit quickly. A very good thing about this truck, it can be bought as a starter truck, provided you visit Russia to buy it. I personally have a saying for Voron trucks: Once bought, you'll never let it go.

Name: Voron D-53233

Price: 79700 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 9/10

Hauling: 8-9/10

Comment: Basically the Tayga under a different name. Like literally. Examining the game's files proved that they have the same engines and the same weight. Yet this one has less fuel and burns it at the same rate, so you may want to account for that. But, luckily for us, this one comes equipped with a sturdy non-changeable off-road gearbox that give it the edge on many trucks, especially in early game. A slow yet relentless mudding truck. Can also haul most stuff without a problem, just watch out for the quite big turn radius.

Name: Voron Grad

Price: 84400 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 8-9/10

Hauling: 8-9/10

Comment: An epic truck. Unlocked roughly at mid-game, this thing will probably change how you look at russian trucks. What it loses in out-of-the-box offroad prowess, gains immensely in fuel efficiency and torque. Although, even if very efficient, the top engine will still guzzle fuel like no tomorrow in tough situations. Basically adaptable to almost any role in the game.

Name: ZiKZ 5368

Price: 31900 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 8/10

Hauling: 7/10

Comment: A good one, provided you dont use it with heavier cargo. Great off road potential, but compared to its bros in the same class, lacks grip. While all off-road trucks are 6x6, this one is like the tatra 805, only 4x4. And while it was enough for the 805 due to its very small size, in this truck's case its not enough to pull 5 units of cargo through deeper mud. Shame, because the engines available have very good torque, it's quite stable, has baloon mud tires available and the fuel efficiency is not actually that bad. The rear suspension is a bit soft, so with heavy cargo will "sit" and in deep mud can be a serious problem.

Scouts, small pathfinding vehicles. Most of them come at stock with mediocre performance, but once upgraded they become some of the most versatile vehicles in the game, able to rescue, refuel, explore and even haul stuff to a degree.

Name: Chevrolet CK1500

Price: 11300 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 8-9/10

Comment: This may be the truck you get at the start of your jurney with the game, but trust me when i say it's VERY capable of tackling almost anything you'll find on your way. Yes, in stock form will be horrible, with no Diff.Lock, no usable tires and a puny engine.. but once you start to get upgrades, it'll get much more capable. Although, the fuel consumption with the top engine is a bit high, so it may be a good idea to carry around a fuel trailer or addons with spare fuel.

Name: Chevrolet Apache

Price: 42200 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 10/10

Comment: A brutally capable but underestimated scout. With it's engageable 6x6 will get you everywhere, provided you have the patience. It's not fast by any means, it's a bit tippy and has a mediocre P/W ratio, but will slowly crawl itself out of basically anything. Can also carry a lot of supplies in its addons and has a surprisingly low fuel consumption. Unfortunatley it's a DLC and a separate one from the year pass too. Also, extremely unusual for a vehiclke like this, if the AWD is disengaged it becomes FWD (Front Wheel Drive).

Name: DON 71

Price: 12700 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 9/10

Comment: To put things into perspective, the real life counterpart of this little car laughs in the face of roads where not even military tanks dare to go. And in the game, it's tecnically the same thing.. Unfortunately, the fuel tank is extremely limited, the fuel addons you can mount barely hold a single full tank and the car itself is tippy as hell. But once you mount the topmost engine, nothing standing in the way will stop the Lada Niv- AHEM Don 71.

Name: Ford F 750

Price: 54400 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 9/10

Comment: A monster. Will rip through mud like a hot knife through butter. Has it all: great ground clearance, very powerful engine, good sized tires, lots of spare fuel and repairs and a staggering fuel efficiency. Bad stuff? It's found in a DLC, one of the toughest one to this day, and the upgrades are even harder to find. But, once you have it fully upgraded, it can literally do almost anything short of using semi-trailers. Also, unusual for a scout, can carry truck-sized trailers. My personal favourite scout.

Name: Hummer H2

Price: 18300 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 7-8/10

Comment: Nice but a bit underperforming scout. Has great stock tires, the fuel efficiency is amazing and at stock in general has good and balanced performance. Unfortunately, in deeper mud will get stuck quite often due to low ground clearance and the relatively low weight. Although if you get the top engine things get a bit better, as it will still get stuck from time to time, but at least you'll be able to crawl instead of simply digging.

Name: International Loadstar 1700

Price: 39400 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 10/10

Comment: The Mud Slayer. That's how i call it. No matter the terrain, no matter the situation, this brutal monster will TEAR through anything. Permanent AWD and Diff.Lock, lots of torque, big tires and a generous ground clearance are the strongest points. May not have mud tires, but you won't miss them. Can actually get through Imandra without too many issues. Personally, i consider it one of the best scouts available. Also, can be bought right at the start of the game, and even with highway tires can still push through difficult terrain without major problems. The only bad side, it guzzles gas, so you may need to bring spare fuel around.

Name: International Scout 800

Price: 12700 Cr

Region: USA

Off Road: 8.5/10

Comment: Can be considered the american counterpart of the DON 71. Has the potential of being one of the best small scouts in the game, like the DON, but gets dragged down by the lack of torque. Even its top engine available sometimes feels like it's not enough to get through. Also with the lift kit and the roof rack installed, it gets very tippy, so install the autonomous winch ASAP. Although, remains a very capable scout, with great ground clearance, lots of spare repairs and fuel with the addon, and tires big enouch to grip in harsh situations.

Name: KHAN 317 Sentinel

Price: 40200 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 8-9/10

Comment: A very nice scout. Can be considered a direct upgrade of the Hummer. Has strong engine offerings and a great lift kit. Also the fuel tank is generous, although it can be dried up a bit quickly if driven carelessly. All in all a very balanced scout, unfortunately it's locked behind a DLC.

Name: KHAN 39 Marshall

Price: 20900 Cr

Region: Russia

Off Road: 10/10

Comment: A staggeringly powerful small scout. Has probably some of the most powerful engines available to scouts, and big n' thicc mud tires. Unfortunately it's DLC locked, doesn't have the best handling on tarmac and the already small fuel tank combined with the sometimes high fuel consumption give it (in my opinion) the specific job of low range pathfinder. However, it's one of the best in that regard, thanks to the reduced size and the always on AWD. Also does not possess any tire other than mud ones, so it's quite unusable on ice.
