Make a Killing achievement

So You Want To Make A Killing?

Description The "Make a Killing"-achievement is quite lenient and I believe if you've managed to collect all the Red Skulls then this will be easily feasible for you as you'll be doing a similar run for this challenge. No matter what you spend your treasure on or whatever else you do, as long as you complete the game with 60,000 treasure in hand without re-doing ANY of the stages or the climbing minigame then the achievement will pop as the credits start to roll.

I managed to complete a game with 5 upgraded Curios and buying one Wisp I missed and still had 84475 Treasure left at the end. So there's no need to save everything you find. Just try to only spend treasure on things you really need.

What you need -60,000 Treasure at the end of the game

-Don't replay any of the stages after completing them. Do not play the climbing minigame more then once.

-Enough confidence to acquire tricky treasures.

-Don't die twice in a row without re-acquiring your lost money from the previous death. If this happens, you should restart the stage immediatly. If you get near the end of the storyline and realise you don't have enough, you'll have to do it all over again from the start.

-You can still get the achievement if you exit a stage without completing it.

Tips and Tricks - You don't need to complete all the Treasure rooms to get enough. If there's one or two you want to skip because of a bunch of death-spikes you can do so.

- You won't need any Cloak upgrades. Though the Cloak of Clemency might seem like a good idea as it's the cheapest cloak and makes you drop less money on death; dying twice in a row without re-aquiring your previously lost money is a no-no either way.

- The order in which you do the stages doesn't matter, but I recommend doing the ones with your favourite Curios first, even if they're on the harder part of the spectrum. Having Hover Plume or Judgement Rush as a safety net to get more treasure, or get back the bags you lost, is a great help.

-Though it's not mandatory to break any checkpoints, if you feel confident enough you can destroy one or two per stage as extra funds.

-No point in rushing, take all the time you need to prevent needless deaths and having to make even scarier jumps to regain your lost treasure.

-Be sure to fully explore and talk to your minions in your home Tower for a bunch of extra treasure.

-The small 'Curio-stages' always contain treasure. Since they cost nothing but Red Skulls to enter and the chance of death is basically zero, I recommend doing them even for Curios you might not care for.

Other info -The Donovan-flashback-sections contain a lot of treasure and you keep it all after completing them.

-The climbing minigame doesn't have that much treasure, not even if you get all the way to the top in one go. I suggest skipping it entirely or saving it for near the end so you'll never mistakenly do it twice.

-Be sure to have 60,000 treasure before heading into the final stage, it contains NO treasure aside from 2 pink gems.

-Though you can still lose your money bags fighting against The Enchantress, you won't lose any if you fall against Nightmare Reize.

-Since you lose 25% money on death, If you've acquired more then 80,000 treasure you'll still have more then 60,000 after dying once without re-acquiring your lost bags.

And that is all you need to know. Thank you for reading and leave a commen if you have any further question!
