Seraph's Last Stand Beginners Guide to getting SOULS

Step 1: Basic Wizard

Once you start as the basic wizard, start playing!

While you play make sure to only go for attack or attack speed boosts! You may die very fast, but as long as you shimmy around and focus on dodging/killing you will make it decently far! With high attack output you will cleave through the early waves and save time as you try to get souls.

Focus on getting these cards every wave:

- Catalyst/Catalyst+ (Bonus damage)

- Resonance/Resonance+ (Bonus attack speed)

- Souls (Bonus soul drop chance)

If these options don't appear after the wave, just choose whatever you like!

While you get souls over-time, make sure to upgrade your SOUL DROPs frist. After you fully upgrade this go to step 2!

Upgrades In order:

- Soul Drop Chance (Soul Icon)

Once you have played several times and upgraded the Soul Drop upgrade twice (max) go to step 2!.

Step 2: Fedora Wizard

ONCE you fully upgraded your Soul Drops, buy the Fedora hat for your wizard! Using this hat you cant end up on the rank board if you get far, but that's fine! We are focusing on Souls first!

Using this hat, you get unlimited re-rolls for your items every round! Use these re-rolls to get Resonance+ and Catalyst+ every time with Wisps!

Re-roll the rare-card picks until you have an army of Wisps, they will help you block enemy shots. They combo very well with your focus on attack speed/attack. Our focus is still to clear as fast as possible to get more souls, but this time playing around a bit with other cards! Once your over-powered play with other options!

Common (White) and Uncommon (Green) both appear on non-rare card choices (non-purple) so re-roll and keep choosing the green options, never pick the white resonance or catalyst anymore (while using this hat).

Use this hat to get familiar with card combo's and builds, get more souls. Once you have enough to buy the Challenger's wizard hat go and buy it! Go to Step 3 at this point! (The final one!)

*If you want to choose another wand at this point, try the ice wand and get bleed/crit affects!*

Step 3: FINAL - Challengers Cap Wizard

Now that you have some souls after a few play-troughs buy the wizards Challenger hat! This hat will give you a 20% chance to double the item you choose at the end of a wave while doubling the amount of enemy spawns! This means double the souls being dropped! Now let loose!

The strat here is a bit different, you want to last as long as possible while clapping as many enemies as possible. First focus on getting the Appraisal rare card. Every time you get a purple choice (rare) make sure to choose Appraisal. Getting three of these will let us re-roll just like the fedora, but this time we will, have double the enemies and you can end up on the leader board!

The first wave always gives a rare choice, if Appraisal isn't there you can continue playing for fun or start over and get that Appraisal. With the challenger's cap it's best if you double the Appraisal card early, so you get two of them by round 2!

Getting 3 of these will give is the Dealer card, this gives us the unlimited re-rolls without using the fedora!

If you don't have a rare-card choice between waves, focus on damage/attack speed, get crit cards, and get some fortitude (health/armor cards!). Now with unlimited re-rolls optimize your build where you survive long enough while dishing out mega damage.

At this point if you wan't a wand recommendation I would recommend the ICE wand. It pierces enemies, so get bleeding affects and crit chance (they combo!)
