Specialty goods region

Introduction & Relevance

This guide shows which specialty goods each area produces. Specialty goods have two benefits which make them interesting for trade purposes.

The first benefit is that during a culture prominent state of a city, goods from that culture will sell for 200%+ of the usual base price. In practice this means that goods you buy can lead to a very high profit rate (up to 900% depending on other bonuses).

The second benefit is that selling specialty goods in another port gives contribution. This can potentially be a very easy way to get a lot of contribution without having to rely on commerce guild contracts or bounties.
