The 8 things you SHOULD be abusing in P3P

Quality Of Life - Tartarus

Tartarus- first things first, you'll be spending lots of time here, so let's break it down!

1.) By default, death is very punishing...restarting from LAST SAVE whenever MC dies?! Are you crazy Atlus? If this sounds a little too tedious or annoying for you, especially when things like instant death, running rng, and crits exist, something the difficulty settings has a couple tools that can help! Difficulty settings has 3 great settings that can make the game as easy or difficult as you'd like! "More Exp" is especially nice to reduce endgame grinding, or heck, early/mid-game grinding to get that one persona for a social link (I'm looking at YOU Tower!). Continue after game over can be a little cheap and even let you kill the Reaper at obscenely low levels if you're willing to grind it out for about 30 mins to an hour, which is a nice infusion of exp, but trivialize things until mid-game. But retries per floor is amazing! Rather than start at floor 1 of Tartarus, you can start back at the start of the floor. Convenient right?

2.) Quick saves are great! You can save at any point in the floor and it'll take you back to the title screen. What is this useful for? RNG stuffs! Tired of being in the dark? Quick save! Looking for that one annoying rare chest item? Quick save! Every enemy on the floor is obscenely strong? Quick save! It can really get you out of bind!

3.) In battle, for every party member go into the Tactics menu -> Direct Commands for every party member when you either a.) first get them or b.) first use them. Especially REALLY late game when you have some special challenges, if you never used a certain party member, it can hurt when controlled by the AI. If you set all of them to direct commands, you won't have to worry about a wasted turn, potentially detrimental turn, or (my favorite) incorrect targeting!

4.) Around every 5,000 steps, your navigator will say something like "Shouldn't we call it a night?" or "You look tired", this doesn't guarantee you'll be Tired the next day, but it is the trigger for it! Being tired is important for raising courage (at school 1F Faculty Hallway -> Nurse's Office), every time you go to Tartarus, try to become tired! This will save you on max s. link runs!

Personas And Skills

5.) Fusion Calculator

This is tool for people either wanting to learn or disinterested in learning about how fusion works in P3P! Need to find those last 3 personas for the compendium? This shows you every persona in each arcana! This comes with obvious spoilers, but luckily no images, moves, or stats are shown, which will save you from MAJOR spoilers at least! Generally, each persona follows a pattern on how to fuse them based on their Arcana, there are certain exceptions (special fusions), but everything else can be fused by following 2 simple principles. You can fuse up by doing a triangle fusion of 3 personas of the same arcana, and fuse down by taking 2 personas of the same arcana of lower level and 1 of a higher level to get the persona of the median level!

6.) Not every high level persona is necessarily better than a lower level persona you have been training or using frequently. Some early game Personas, like Pixie and Nekomata are great because they have no weaknesses! Use up some Skill cards to patch the lack of fire power of these Personas later. Investment like this can be a double edged sword though...you have to remember to register them into the compendium for these Personas to keep their stats when the inevitable time comes to do some fusing. ALSO, by raising stats and giving personas more skills, they become pricier to buy back!

7.) On the topic of skill cards...Naganaki Shrine's Inari Sushi Shrine allows you to copy skill cards! This was not available in FES and should be abused 100%! Rare skills like Spell Master, null, absorb, and reflect, and even severe damage skills can be duped and learned across many Personas! This is great because skill inheritance in this game is random. It'll save you lots of cancelling and skill checking to get the perfect build to just build a Persona with your "leftover" skill cards!

8.) Paulownia Mall's Game Parade has 3 games which raise Persona's stats! Lucky Fortune is +3 to magic, Mole Whackers is +3 speed, and Punching Bag is +3 to strength! Any Persona is usable to beat the game, so if you have favorites, don't feel like you have to dismiss them for the shiny new persona you just unlocked by leveling up.
