Overview
+7 and +8 chips are essential for when you plan to complete the Special Challenges in the underground coliseums (which are unlocked if you have the DLC). Also, they provide a great performance boost in general, if you wish to have some fun and just destroy machines and bosses. Also, chips like EXP Boost +8, which gives +100% experience points from enemies, can help you with farming for levels and materials.
Where To Fuse The Chips?
So as you know, the Resistance Camp does not have the means to fuse chips to higher than +6. Same applies to Pascal's Village. Hence, you need to find a new NPC which can do this for you.
In this case, you need to go to the Forest Zone. Go to the Forest Zone: Centre access point. From it, move towards the waterfalls where you did a part of the special quest with the photographs. From them, move to the edge of the ravine. If you look to the right and down, you will see some rocks which make some sort of path downwards. If you move down, you will find a special machine, from which you can grab, and should grab, a quest. Beware - the most powerful enemy in the quest is at around level 50!
After finishing the quest, you can return to the machine to obtain rewards. After doing so, you can unlock a chip shop from that machine, as well as the option to fuse chips. This machine will allow you to fuse chips up to level +8! Now you know how to get +8 chips.
