The first thing is to find a suitable panel for removal, in this case its a floor panel, its more air than actual body part

Next is to clear the local area, which means the exhaust in the engine bay and the rear seat, this gives you access to the cut points. The cut points are activated by installing a cutting disc on the angle grinder, some of these are provided by default in a square box in the garage, more can be bought at the various shops in the game.

Now, picking up the grinder taking it over to the car a series of white lines will appear on the panels, these white lines are the "cut points" needed to remove the panels, clicking on them with the grinder when the line is green will remove the line showing it to be cut but also wear down the disc, eventually it will break and disappear meaning you need to install a new disc.

Care will have to be taken here, removing too many panels at once can expose a bug where you cannot add new panels onto the car, so it is best to just remove one panel at a time.

After picking out the relevent new part it is installed in the car like any other part, hovering over the right area and waiting for that little tick mark to appear.

The final step is to weld the new part on, first you need to active the grinder to pick up the welding tool, then placing it down on the floor you get an electrode from the electrode box, some are provided from the beginning so taking one and putting it onto the welding tool, I was unable to get this to work with the tool still on the welder, its possible I missed something. Next take the tool to the car and once again there will be white lines on the car, although this time it will be for attaching new parts

So the same applies as before, click on the lines when they turn green to weld them to the car, the electrode will get used over time meaning you need to replace it. Once there are no more lines and you still have some electrode left you can marvel at your newly installed part.
