Basic Concept
The real premise of his challenge is to create an elite (but selective) order of warriors dedicated to the security of Caldradia.
(I use the mod Vexed Natived, it is a welcome break from the casual brutality of Perisno or PoP)
RULES:
1: Castles must be garrisoned with top tier troops only. Mercenaries are exempt from this rule.
2: You MUST conquer Grunwalder Castle first. No exceptions.
3: All Factions must be represented somewhere in your armies.
4: All companions must be hired, and either vassalized or put the work in the court (i.e. Chancellor)
5: This is the final rule, and probably the most complicated. Each Faction must be equally damaged in sequential order. For example, after taking Grunwalder you cannot take another Rhodok castle or town until you have taken a castle from every other faction. The "queues" of towns and castles are INDEPENDENT from each other. For example, one take Veluca after Grunwalder, but cannot take Yalen until they have taken a town from every other faction.
6: This one is Optional. Create a name, story, and lore for your Order.
7: This one is also optional, but recommended. Create an honor guard for yourself. They MUST travel with you at all times. A good one might be 15 Swadian Knights and 15 Sarranadian Mamluks. Choose based on your own preference, but be mindful that they will be your first (and quite possibly last) line of defense. Note: In battle, they must have the Follow Me! Command active at all times. It would be a good idea to put them in another troop category.
BANNED EXPLOITS
Only One, the use of the battle sizer to make sieges considerably easier.
A general tip for sieges is to set one's battle sizer at 30, they make them MUCH easier. Battle Sizer Must be at maximum for sieges and field battles.
AAR (If Wanted)
Many people seem to want me to do an AAR, so I will oblige.
I've already gone through a playthrough of this on vanilla warband, and again on Vexed natived, conquering the Khergits in vanilla and uniting Caldradia in Vexed. To avoid doing that again, I'm gonna throw in an extra twist, and use the mod Crusader: Deus Vult, because it seems to fit with the spirit of what I'm trying to do.
I start out by hiring some Jerusalem peasants and doing the merchant's quest line, then by doing the standard procedure of killing bandits and winning tournaments. Eventually, all my men are good enough to be upgraded to cavalry. I then proceed to hire and train archers and crossbowmen, acquiring several companions along the way, including Richard the Lionheart, who had every stat at 10 (didn't see that coming).
Once I have a 65 strong party of elites, I began looking for an easy target. The coastal antiochene port of Latakia had been taken by the Seljuqs, and was lightly held. I had to strike quickly before the Antiochene's reorganized and launched an assault.
Unfortunately, this mod lacked a instant besiege option, so I had to track down some Turkish peasants and cut them down. Then I rushed back to Latakia, to find it under an Antiochene siege. Dismayed, I watched from the hills as the Antiochenes stormed the city, capturing it mere hours before the Seljuq sultan arrived to relieve the castle.
