Getting lots of cash from the military base

Getting lots of cash from the military base

Intro

This guide intends to expand on a money making technique I discovered along while messing around in my game with a few other players, do feel free to add your research results to the comments and I'll add them to the guide as time goes on. I still do this whenever I need a money boost.

The Raw Job

There is a military base in Jeju Island, you are expected to find a few blue empty boxes, like some kind of easter egg hunt, searching around for them can be fun, so I'll spoil below where these boxes are found in case you want to discover them on your own.

There are a total of 10 empty boxes hidden around.

They spawn empty, and you are expected to deliver them to a random warehouse out of 6 spots along the map, where they get filled, then you get a shipment that needs to be returned to the base (which is when they finally pay the big bucks). With each trip going from $2,770 to $3,752 depending on the destination. The payouts per box look like this:

Money Chart

DestinationBase ->Warehouse PayoutWarehouse -> Base Payout

Jeju Harbor 840 2962 1100 Rest area 840 3547 Sin-chang warehouse 840 3676 Oedo warehouse 840 2770 Seong-san warehouse 840 3752 Gang-jung 840 3220

The Mechanics And My Findings Behind It:

These blue boxes at the military base spawn on a timer, it's still unconfirmed if player distance has any effect on their re-spawn rate, yet, 3 to 5 minutes after being picked up seem to be the re-spawn interval in my experiments.

Throughout the base, boxes with assorted, different destinations will constantly reappear.

The way the game intends you to carry these is by using most of your time traveling across the island between warehouses, thus, nerfing this job as a viable moneymaking method.

The warehouses don't seem to handle deliveries beyond 10 items at a time pretty well, they take some loading time to ready the return item, and while there's no expiry displayed at first, these shipments do expire. When moving more than 10 items, I've seen myself having to split them by grabbing a few boxes off my truck, reloading it with at most 10 return boxes, awaiting for the delivery itself to disappear off the deliveries' list before bringing in the remaining boxes back to the base.

What You'll Want To Do:

Bring at least one cargo Vehicle.

Carrying 10 of those military boxes is optimal for most of this technique.

(It can be a Bronco Pickup with a trailer box so you can pile up 10 strapped boxes)

Cargo straps, depending on your vehicle of choice, you'll want to strap your cargo.

You made your way to the military base, gather the boxes and set them away from their spawn spot

Sort them, drop them wherever you'd like

I use the landing strip, but the middle of the base also works.

If you bring extra cars or extra trailers, those also work, but trailers tend to de-spawn.

when you point at the boxes, You'll be able to read it's destination

Now, load your cargo into your vehicle(s), make sure you hit only one destination while the other box piles are left to stand by for the next(s) trip(s)

Go and deliver your first trip! It'll net you $840 per box minus any fees from the car owner

Be patient now, the team that receieves your empty boxes will fill them with whatever secret items these soldiers will need

Once you open up the cargo pickup menu, it'll show the boxes being filled, but they won't appear immediately in the cargo items list, you could get off the car and pull the boxes while on foot, resetting the cargo menu while on foot seems to help them show up sooner

You got all your boxes back? Good! Now, get back behind the wheel and let's drive back.

Once you deliver the boxes, park your car, truck or trailer and repeat:

Keep piling the empty boxes and they are bound to make the other routes grow while you deliver the next shipment(s)

Repeat

So far, this comprises the least you can make by doing this, we can squeeze even more money by doing the following:

Squeezing The Most Money Out Of It:

If You are a new player, you need trucker level to use most cargo vehicles, but, barely trucker lvl 2 in order to pull around one of those basket trailers with a bronco pickup, the basket will automatically take 4 military boxes, but you can drop more on top of those, we count 8 so far now, but, you can add more on top of those, just make sure you've bought a cargo strap at any convenience store because those top 2 may tumble and fly out.

There's 4 ways to move cargo:

Government vehicles: These are the cars lying around all over the island with a blue icon on top, the advantages of this method are that you can just grab it and drive, you don't get charged for repairs nor fuel, the disadvantage is that they charge an expensive prime out of whatever job you are getting paid for. Still my least favorite method.

Renting a truck: These would be cars you see around with a price floating over them, you are given the choice of renting the car or buying it, assuming you are a beginner, one of the advantages is that you get to try the car before actually buying it, this is specially useful if you are in the fence between two choice vehicles, the rates are relatively inexpensive, you keep the full payoff from your cargo, and you are not charged for fuel and repairs, The disadvantage is, of course, the constant drain on your funds, it's just annoying, but I made most of my money with this method before I bought my own.

Getting a friend's truck: This is a multiplayer advantage, a friend can remove the level requirement(s) on his car, and enable you to drive it before you officially unlock it, He/she will cover the fuel and repairs, but they decide the percentage they keep off your work. I use this method now that I play multiplayer and the agreement usually is that I stay at the base, sorting boxes, their trips get me 10~15% of whatever they make. Seriously boosts their wallets, and I get to develop this guide while waiting for more boxes to spawn.

Using your own vehicle: Nothing beats running your own rig, can do it in single player, at your own pace, no negotiating, no work/profit sharing, but you pay for your own car, repairs and fuel.

If you're doing this on multiplayer, While you were out driving, the boxes re-spawned, what was that? like 10, 20 mins? If a fellow player wants to stay behind and keeps piling up boxes for you, you'll have at least two extra batches sorted for the next delivery, be it a one dedicated player aiding another player, or two players taking shifts at sorting <-> delivering.

There's a workaround to avoid "paying the owner", when moving on a Government car, given you can manually carry the boxes; just park close to the delivery goalpost, without completing the delivery, now, you are in walking distance so, get off the car, carry the boxes to deliver them by hand, and you "pay the owner" nothing. (Note that this is uncool if you are using a friend's car and agreed to give them a % of the cash)

Fellow driver Kelven added the following: "This could be a lot of money if you park a camper at the Military base, and just regularly play the game and every 5+ minutes teleport to the camper to collect/sort more crates, then teleport to a house to keep playing, and do this until you have enough for an entire dry van trailer's worth (which looks to be 30+ crates? I haven't filled my trailer yet to see how many it can hold total). I only did a single run of 9 crates and that netted me around $40k total."

"Crates you picked up/sorted will de-spawn if you log out, unless they're in a vehicle/trailer. So you can collect a bunch of crates, and if you don't have time to finish deliveries you can load them up in your truck/trailer and safely log off, and they'll be there when you log back in. Just make sure the trailer is hooked to a vehicle you own, or else the trailer will de-spawn.

You can also use a government truck/trailer to store crates in as long as you log off inside the truck. If you log off outside the truck it will de-spawn along with the trailer (since you don't own either)"
