Achieving Victory In Kaycee's Mod: Skull Storm

Introduction

After 62 deaths recorded in my stats, I can confirm that luck plays a significant role in achieving this feat. However, with the right strategy and a bit of perseverance, you can conquer Skull Storm. Here’s how I did it:

Strategy

Starter Deck: Choose the Ant starter deck.

Undying Insect Totem: Your primary goal is to obtain the Undying Insect totem. This is crucial for the strategy.

Sigil Transfer: Transfer the "Ant Spawner" sigil onto an insect card that costs 1 blood.

Bone Card: Obtain the Cockroach card, which costs 4 bones and has the undying sigil. Another viable bone-costing insect card is Corpse Maggots, which costs 5 bones.

Deck Management

Until you obtain the totem, or at least half of it, make good choices to win matches.

Once you have obtained the totem, keep your deck small.

Choose routes that allow you to remove cards or fail at the Trial of Power to avoid adding cards to your deck.

Remove non-insect cards or combine cards whenever possible.

If you happen across the Mycologist, duplicate your Ant Spawner card.

Battle Strategy

Initial Setup:

Use your starting squirrel to place the card that has the Ant Spawner sigil.

Replace that card with the ant it generates, which should return the original card to your hand.

Repeat this process to build up bones, ensuring you always have the ant-spawning card in hand.

Bone Utilization:

Once you have enough bones, play your Cockroach or other bone-costing insect card.

Continue replacing the bone card with ants, building up a strong board of 4/2 ants before ending your turn.

Boss Fights:

In boss fights, like those with the bears, use this strategy to deal damage without taking any.

Even if your ants die, they’ll have dealt significant damage. Repeat the process to fill the board again.

Tips

An Undying Bunny creator can also be effective if you obtain it, but the Cockroach for 4 bones is more common and reliable to obtain.

I didn't rely on items for most of my run, which emphasizes the strength of this strategy once you have the right totem.
