Romani
The Romani (Romans) are unquestionably the best culture. In this game too.
You can get access to Romans in Classical Era.
Romans are expansionists and their affinity actions called Under One Banner allow you to forcibly annex enemy territories.
Romans basically conquered known world.
Roman bonus called Oath of Allegiance gives +10 stability on city or outpost.
Emperor Octavianus Augustus was famaous for many things, for example he created police forces called Vigiles.
Roman trait called Legion's Finest makes your unit +1 slot and your units gain +50% more experience.
Roman legionary is the most famous soldier in the world. Roman discipline in army was the highest known to humankind.
Roman unique building is Triumphal Arch and gives you:
+5 influence
+5 stability per adjecent district
Successful roman generals were granted big arch to be save his legacy forever.
History
Roman history begun in 753 B.C. when Romulus - the first king - funded Rome and stole Sabine women. In 509 B.C. Rome became republic. Romans generally are great, unless you are their neighbour. Romans quickly expanded after 390 B.C. in entire Mediterranean basin. In 100-44 B.C. Caius Iulius Caesar - the most famous Roman known for his (un)luck in choosing good friends - ended the republic. His adopted son, Caius Iulius Caesar Octavianus Augustus in 27 B.C. established Roman Empire and became the very first roman emperor. In 117 A.D. emperor Traian expanded Roman Empire border farthest. Than nothing wrong happend.
Praetoriani
“Though the Romans did indeed appreciate intangibles, I might be tempted to say that their most famous creation was their legions — which were very tangible indeed.„
Praetoriani are based and have the best of the all units in the game.
They are also the strongest unit in the Classical Era.

Strenght: 29
Movement: 4
Range: 4
Vision 4
Tactical Superiority
Grants bonus combat strength if at least one allied unit is adjacent to this unit's target.
They get extra 3 strenght for every adjacent allied unit
Remember: to recruit Praetorians, you'll need
>5 Iron<.
Urbes
Urbes (cities) should be rename as fast as possible.
1. Rename your capital to Roma.
2. Rename other cities. Example: City with horses rename to Capua (famous for cavalry), city near sea to Brundisium.
Other example of names:
- Ravena, Mediolanum, Eburacum, Narbo Martius, Neapolis.
Remember: Make sure to update the look of your cities after you reach new era!
Wonder
Rember to get build Colosseum.
Behavior
To be real Roman you should:
- expand quickly,
- attack your enemies early - you can't have powerful enemy if you defeat everyone before they grow,
- keep at least one unit of Praetorians in capit (for flex and assert domination),
- if your enemy pick Celts or Carthaginians, focus on defeating them first.
