What Are Console Commands And How To Use Them.
Console commands are configuration commands that can be used to alter different aspects of the game in real time, like a mod/debug menu. The console (UI, what you use to input the commands) is disabled by default, but can be easily enabled manually.
To enable console commands, all you have to do is:
- Right click Her New Memory on your Steam library (the game must be already installed locally), and go to Manage - Browse local files. This will open the directory where the game's files are located.
- Go to renpy - common - and open 00console.rpy with Notepad.
- Search config.console = (using Ctrl + F), erase False and type True, then click Ctrl + S and close the file.
This will enable console commands. Make sure you DO NOT verify integrity of Her New Memory files, as this will make Steam replace your edited 00console.rpy file with a stock one, which will turn console commands back off, and you'll have to do this again.
List Of 21 Console Commands I've Found And Tested, And What They Do.
Now that you have enabled the console, just launch the game and load your save file (or start a new game or whatever you wanna do).
- Ctrl + O brings up the console, the interface where you input the codes/commands.
- Esc closes the console.
With the console open, now you just need codes/commands, and here's a small list of commands that I've found and tested myself, and used SEVERAL times.
- Underlined text is the command, what you have to type (or copy and paste, preferably) in the in-game's console.
- ? is the value. Just replace the ? with whatever value you desire.

How To Find And Test Your Own Console Commands, Or Directly Edit Your Save File.
If you want even more console commands, you can easily do so by uploading your Her New Memory save file (found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Her New Memory\game\saves) to this fast, free and safe online save file editor[www.saveeditonline.com] . Depending on your in-game progress, you can find TONS of console commands, all of them working (except for those with >, as I just haven't found a way to make them work in the in-game's console).
You can also, well, edit your save file directly on that website. If you do decide to, make sure you DO NOT set anything above 2147483647, because while it doesn't affect the game nor your save file, it does make the website kinda fuzzy and confuse itself.
Thank you so much for checking my guide out, and apologies for the agonisingly long read, as I was trying to be as clear and helpful as possible. If you have any questions or comments, I'm always here for you!
