Gears Tactics Modding the game

What I Know So Far

First let me say that this isn't the first mod. I got the idea from someone who created "Yeetable Grenades". (credit to whoever that was)

So looking into that, what I found is that it was a simple alteration to some files in the game.

From there my journey is beggining First open up your game files:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GearsTactics\GearGame\Content\Gameplay\Tables\CSV

In here you're presented with a bunch of different sections that we can mod.

Opening up weapons for example gives you a list of every weapon you can use in the game. At the top of each of these tables is a simple explanation for what all the following numbers mean.

So you could go in there and change the max range of every weapon to hit targets across the map. You could change how much damage they do, how much damage on a partial "graze" hit they do, range, explosive damage fallout rate, etc.

I'm also testing changing the rewards at the end of missions to immediately start giving legendary loot from the beggining, and eliminating common, uncommon, and rare chests.

I'm also testing to see if I can get more "pods" of enemies to spawn at a time.

I've tweaked the unit costs for different units thinking that lowering these will allow more units to fit in the "budget" of a wave of enemy reinforcements. So far kinda hard to tell a difference but will continue testing.

I'm also trying out making more possible waves with higher threat ranges. I assume threat range is some how linked to the level of your characters and the quality of their gear... but I'm not sure here either.

TLDR; I'm just playing with a bunch of numbers here and seeing what noticable differences they make in new campaigns and my veteran continuation.
