Campaing Achievements

These achievements can be obtained by simply beating the game from the start till it`s end and can`t be missed.

№ Picture Achievement Description Defeat the Brumak

The Brumak is encountered toward the end of Act 1 Chapter 6: Into the Fire. As the Brumak boss fight starts, your squad of 4 is split by the sides. It’s recommend you take out the machine guns off the Brumak first, as it limits its attack pattern to simply stomp and missile barrage (which also takes out any enemies in its range). Try your best to keep the Brumak in the middle of the screen and chip the health down, as you get a checkpoint about halfway towards his health bar. There’s another checkpoint in this fight after taking down the first two tanks.

Note: As you destroy the tanks on the Brumak’s back, there will be Emergence Holes that pop up with wretches. Take out the E-Holes quickly before they open by placing a frag grenade on top of them, so they don’t cause any issues for you.

№ Picture Achievement Description Defeat the Corpser.

Can be done in Act Chapter 8: Trapped. The Corpser attacks include: Sweeping a large area with its legs. Spitting out around 3 proximity mines. As it gets close to dying it will sweep 2 areas and spit even more mines. And it will use its legs to shield up. But you can shoot or use explosives to open the legs.

There will be Emergence Holes that will spawn. Take out the E-Holes quickly before they open by placing a frag grenade on top of them. Drones and wretches will spawn periodically. Take care of them so you don’t get overwhelmed. Make sure when you can to take advantage of executes / chainsaws / bayonet charges, so you get an extra turn for your squad.

Gears Tactics has 3 main Acts. Act 1 has 6 Chapters, and Acts 2 and 3 have 8 chapters each. That means the game has a total of 3 Acts and 22 Chapters.

In Ironman, everything you do is permanent. The game saves after every action which makes it impossible to save scum. You have to live with whatever outcome you're given and you can neither leave nor replay missions again, so its easy to get this achievement playing on low difficulty.

Missions Achievements

These achievements associated with side missions or with certain conditions for their completion

№ Picture Achievement Description Complete a mission without any of your units dying or being downed.

This achievement can be easily unlocked during Act 1 Chapter 1, the tutorial mission. Simply follow the directions during the tutorial moments, while being cautious during any engagements. Liberally use Overwatch to deal with any advancing enemies, disturb enemy overwatches with your snub pistol Disrupting Shot ability prior to pushing forward or outflank the enemy otherwise.

№ Picture Achievement Description Complete a Control side mission

Control side missions involve holding two Supply Points marked within a circle until you reach 10 points. In order to gain points, your units must be within the circle, but if an enemy steps into the circle, no one will gain any points. If none of your units are within a circle, but there's an enemy in it, the enemies will gain 1 point, and they win when they reach 5 points.

№ Picture Achievement Description Complete a Rescue side mission.

The main missions already have many of these, but the objective is to rescue two units from torture pods. The unit limit is usually 2 since you'll gain control of the units you rescue. There's a 15 turns timer, and once the timer runs off, the mission will fail. Usually, the hard part of these missions is breaking away and reaching the extraction point with your units, since reinforcements can be tough. The bright side is that the turn-limit is gone and you can take your time taking down all the enemies.

№ Picture Achievement Description Complete a Scavenger Run side mission.

During Scavenger missions, your goal is to grab 3 out of 5 Equipment Cases scattered around the map. Sometimes you will get an optional objective to grab all equipment cases. Additionally, there will be a bombardment zone behind you that will gradually increase its range, forcing you to keep moving every turn. Scouts and Support units are recommended for these missions. Scouts because they can increase their movement skills with the Skill Tree and Support can revive from a distance.

Sabotage missions are almost exactly the same as Incursion missions (reach a marked spot on the map and then raise a bridge), but instead of raising a bridge, you'll have to interact with Immulsion tanks and blow them up, then going to the extraction point marked on the map.

№ Picture Achievement Description Complete 20 missions without any of your units dying or being downed. Complete 100 missions without any of your units dying or being downed.

№ Picture Achievement Description Complete a Veteran Mission. Complete 20 Veteran Missions.

Once you complete the story-driven campaign at the heart of Gears Tactics, you have a few options – replay the campaign on a higher difficulty or head into Veteran Mode.Veteran Missions follow a structured flow – first, you’ll take on side missions to help gear and train up your squad. Once you complete enough of these, you’ll get to take on a Veteran Mission – a tough tactical challenge with unique modifiers that will challenge your approach to the battle.

Miscellaneous Achievements

These achievements are miscellaneous abd don’t fall into the other categories

№ Picture Achievement Description Hit a target with 10% or less chance to hit.

Position your troops in a manner to reduce hit chance – recall that shot distance (in this case farther being better) and enemy cover (half or full, with latter being the best) affect hit chance. Furthermore, place your units in front of the enemy of interest, as any flanking bonus increases your hit chance which you do not want in this instance. Take as many shots as needed to unlock the achievement. Remember, you can always restart a mission if you need more opportunities.

This achievement will unlock as part of the tutorial in Act 1 Chapter 1 – simply play through the mission and there will be a prompt to disrupt an enemy Overwatch.

Kill Achievements

These achievements focused on different ways and number of enemy kills.

Classic Gears series achievement — rip and tear, every enemy counts.

№ Picture Achievement Description Kill a single unit that has taken damage from each Gear on the mission

№ Picture Achievement Description Kill an enemy, AND an enemy behind it, with a single burst of bullets.

№ Picture Achievement Description Perform a chainsaw execution.

This achievement will unlock as part of the tutorial in Act 1 Chapter 1 – simply play through the mission and there will be a prompt to perform a chainsaw execution.

№ Picture Achievement Description Kill an enemy with a Ticker explosion.

№ Picture Achievement Description Kill a Boomer with a boomshot.

№ Picture Achievement Description Get 4 kills with a single Torque Bow shot.

№ Picture Achievement Description Kill 5 enemies with a single Overwatch action.

№ Picture Achievement Description Empower a Teamworked unit and gain 3 AP from their kills.

№ Picture Achievement Description Gain AP from the Avenger skill, then use a Rage shot to kill the unit that caused your AP gain.

№ Picture Achievement Description Kill 6 targets with a single Rampage, after coming out of Cloak.

№ Picture Achievement Description Revive a Scout with Stim ability and then use that Scout to kill at least 5 enemies with Rampage.

№ Picture Achievement Description Kill 100 enemies with Ticker explosions.

№ Picture Achievement Description In one turn, Breach 3 enemies; kill one of each with Precision Shot, Reckless Shot and Double Shot.

The Jacked Game Mode Update adds Jack as a companion to your squad, new Deviant enemies, and 11 new achievements around him
