The Save Game Editor
This is the editor i use

you will also need a program for zip files i use 7zip
https://www.7-zip.org/
How To Unzip
right click the compressed folder then click "show more options" then go to "7zip" and click "extract files"
How To Set Up The Save Editor
you need to link it to your save file
go to C:\Users\[user]\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY VI PR\Steam\76561197971028520
and hit select file on 76561197971028520
if you did it correctly it would look like the end result of this gif
How To Add Items
Go to "inventory" and select an empty slot (You will know a slot is empty if there is a 0 on the left and 0 on the right, Because even nothing has an item id which is 0)
on the right there is the list of all item id's in this example i chose to add the tortoise shield which is 212 enter the item id on the left bracket and the amount that you want on the right (99 is the max)
If you did this correctly the scroll bar will expand and you can scroll downward to see the name of the item you added and the new empty space put underneath it
