Step 1 - Disable Allow Game To Adjust Settings
First you should disable ( if you have not already ) under the settings in windows Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device and Printers > Right click the wheel > Game controller settings > Properties > settings > and the very bottom you will see "Allow Game to Adjust Settings". This box should be un-clicked.
This is not a requirement but i feel this gives you more control than the in game settings due to how "outdated" this wheel is.
Step 2 - Wheel And Pedals
Within the games control settings you will need to manually bind everything. Now the obvious is throttle is throttle and brake is brake, but when it comes to binding the steering direction you MUST let the wheel go back to center. So for turning left, turn the wheel to lock left and then let go, once it arrives to center it will recognize the input, then obviously do the same for turning right.
Then go down the list and bind how you want for DRS, overtake etc.
For the pedals I highly suggest you have brake assist high, as the pedals on this set up dont exactly allow for light braking, its either no brake or full lock.
Step 3- GO HAVE FUN!
You have set up your old wheel now get to racing. Any issues I would be glad to try and help you the best i can.!
