Farming Is More Then Just Getting Hunger Up

Now while farming and cooking crops is a great way to get hunger up many foods give great buffs, such as increase of movement speed, more melee or range damage, etc. Some combos give you better increase on these especially if you cook golden plants.

Gardening Skill

The gardening skill will increase as you harvest crops but it'll go faster the more crops you have. Not all perks in this skill tree are useful tho so I suggest

- Grateful gardener (first one)

- Eat your vegetables

- Thorny weapon

- Thorny Skin

- Expert gardener

Now you should focus on getting expert gardener before getting the 2nd thorny perk as the golden plants make a huge difference in the stats of your food.

Each level of the gardening skill also increases the "larger harvest stat" now you're wondering what that is and basically it has a chance to give you more crops per harvest but isn't properly explained to you in game so most will assume it does nothing. It is best paired with accessories that increase harvest too like the Farmers Hat and Petal Ring(2).

Farm Setup

A bigger farm means bigger crops, I suggest a 10x10 per type cause the scarlet hoe will get all 4 sections easily, just remember certain plants got to be placed on certain blocks and need to be tilled.

Next is getting sprinklers if you don't already have them cause watering multiple 10x10 plots will get very tiring, we must leave that experience for placing the seeds! Having the watering automated is very nice and works well with the scarlet hoe as the sprinkler covers a 5x5 area.
