Gear :
Here is the gear I use for my method to reach max level in the fishing skill while AFK.
1.Solarite Fishing Rod
This fishing rod doesn’t have durability, so you can use it indefinitely.
2.Gear Set
Actually, for armor and necklace, you can use any set or whatever you prefer. The most important thing is the Goldfish Ring. You need to use 2 of these rings because they add:
24% faster fishing attribute (Max level)which helps save time. You can obtain these rings by fishing in the Forgotten Ruins area, so you can start fishing there to both increase your fishing skill XP and find the Goldfish Rings.
3.Skill Set
I think it's important to level up your fishing XP to level 25 because of the 25% fish and other byte faster buff. The rest can be according to your preference.
Autoclicker Config :
So, that might be it for the preparation. Next is the fishing time calculation. With the gear set I use, I get about 4 seconds from the start of fishing for my bait to get hit, so I can set my auto-clicker to click every 4 seconds. Also, pay attention to how long it takes for your bait to get hit when you do it manually, and then configure your auto-clicker based on that timing.

Tips!
Before starting, it’s a good idea to build a barrier around your fishing area to prevent any mobs from interrupting the leveling process.
Also, if you want to get exclusive items or gear from fishing, seek out bodies of water in other biomes like the Sunken Sea biome or Lava. You can also use buckets to transport the water back to your base.
