Batman: Arkham Knight Heir to the Cowl [Locations]

Preface

Welcome to the Heir to the Cowl walkthrough guide. This side quest is given on Miagani Island during the main story quest while searching for Oracle.

The quest consist of Azrael signally Batman with a burning bat symbol on a rooftop. Azrael realizes batman has a fire in his eye along with the rest of Gotham City. Azrael believes its time for batman to pick an heir to his vigilante-ism and vows to not kill anyone and follow Batman's ideals and ways. Batman tells Azrael he must prove himself.

For this guide, I will be provide an image of the map areas where find the burning Bat symbols. This side quest does have a specific order in which the singaling from Azrael will appear and subsequently the sections will reflect each piece of the side quest.

NOTE: keep in mind, that you have to complete these tests without getting hit.

The First Test

At the initialization of the quest, the game will guide you to a roof just west of the Bank of Gotham on Miagani Island. This is the first encounter with Azrael and is pretty straight forward. Batman will begin an AR session containing a small handful of thugs, all of which are not armed.

The Second Test

The next singalling from Azrael will be on Founders' Island. It is on a building south of Otisburg Fire Station. For this test, you will fight a squad of unarmed guards with the additon of a single Brute. There will be objects for the enemies to pick up and throw.

The Third Test

The third signal is found in China Town on Bleake Island. This one is quite similar to the second test, with the addition of a medic (who can "revive" knocked out opponents). There will also be stun battons to watch out for as well.

The Fourth Test

The fourth test is found on the Lady of Gotham Island, which is a small liberty island-like piece that sits in the square waterway between the three main isles. This test focuses specifically on dodge and counter by throwing out a group of ninjas that attack in pairs or flurries.

The Final Analysis

After completing the fourth test, you are directed to the Clocktower on Bleake Island to analyze Azrael's activity. For this final piece of the quest, there wont be any test/fighting. Batman is using Oracle's computer to search for information about Azrael and is prompted to locate a series of lithographs on some security footage.
