Get Bat DNA
Start by acquiring bat DNA. Look for aggressive species like vampire bats (Desmodus rotundus) for their attitude, flying foxes (Pteropus) for strength, and microbats (Myotis lucifugus) for echolocation. Head to research labs, wildlife sanctuaries, or wherever you can get a sample. Blood, muscle tissue, or bone will do. Extract the DNA carefully and get ready to transform.
Sequence The DNA
Once you have the DNA, you will need to sequence it using next-generation sequencing (NGS). This will allow you to map out the genome and identify the genes you need, such as those for muscle growth (MYOD1), wing development (Fgf8), and echolocation (GPR176). Use CRISPR-Cas9 technology to isolate these genes, making them ready for your transformation.
Make The Gene Serum
Next, you will create a serum that can deliver the bat DNA to your cells. You will need viral vectors like adenoviruses or lentiviruses to carry the bat genes into your body. Once you have everything mixed, inject the serum into your bloodstream. The viral vectors will carry the bat DNA directly into your cells, where it will start the transformation process.
Prepare For The Painful Transformation
When the genes begin to take effect, your body will start to change. Your bones will expand, your chest will widen to make room for your wings, and your muscles will bulk up, especially in your arms and back. Your face will morph into a bat-like snout with sharp teeth. This process will hurt. A lot. It’s not pretty, but it's the price you pay for becoming a Man-Bat.
Adjust To Your New Body
After the transformation, you will need time to get used to your new body. Your wings will feel heavy and awkward at first. Flying won't be easy right away. Your hearing will be drastically improved, thanks to echolocation, so you will need to adjust to the sensory overload. Your muscles will be stronger, and your body will be bulkier. The transition will take time, but soon you’ll be able to control your new form.
Welcome To Your New Life
You thought splicing bat DNA would be the key to curing deafness, but now you're a giant bat creature who can't hear anything over the sound of your own screeches. People aren’t screaming in admiration. They’re terrified of the flying monstrosity you’ve become. You set out to make a breakthrough, but now you’re just crashing into things and snacking on bugs. Great job.
