Walk Slowly with Keyboard - Arkham Knight

TLDR

Basically all you need to do is:

Open Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Knight\BmGame\Config\BmGame.ini with a Notepad

Ctrl+F, find the lines from Step 2 and put # in the beginning of each line.

Ctrl+F, find the line [BmGame.RGameInfo]

Under [BmGame.RGameInfo], copypaste the lines from Step 3

Launch the game and reset the Controls settings--

Step 1

Open this file with a Notepad:

Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Knight\BmGame\Config\BmGame.ini

Step 2

Press Ctrl+F in Notepad.

Then fInd the following two lines. Put the # symbol in the beginning of each of those lines:

If you have DLCs installedNamely, "A Matter of Family", "Harley Quinn Pack" and "Red Hood Pack". And it is only if you care for Batgirl, Harley and Red Hood to have a slow walk option. Otherwise, you can skip this part.

Just as before, find and put the # symbol in front of the following six lines:

Step 3

Press Ctrl+F in Notepad.

Then find the header [BmGame.RGameInfo].

Put these lines under [BmGame.RGameInfo]:

Step 4

ShiftWalk ForwardAltSlow Walk Forward

Launch the game, open Controls settings and reset them to default.

Controls must be reset individually for Batman and each of the 3 DLC characters. Do not worry, this must be done only once per character.

Layout:

Note #1: After that, walk keys can be rebound via in-game menu. Search the bottom action keys, they will be named "Walk" and "Slow Walk".

Note #2: Binding Batman's action keys automatically applies walk option for all playable characters of the base game (Catwoman, Nightwing, Robin and Azrael).

Note #3: Sadly, since Arkham Origins, there is no option for a directional walk (W-A-S-D + ).

So i opted the layout of a forward walk with & .

Afterthought

Yeah, this time it got a little trickier than in the previous games.

We can't just straight out paste the new command lines. For some reason, this game has a reserved number of default action keys which cannot be extended. This means, in order to add something, we have to erase what is already there.

In my guide, I suggest to disable "Photo Mode" and "Quickfire REC" action keys as the former is useless, and the latter is unnecessary because it is substituted by gadget key double-tapping. However, you can comment any other actions you like instead.
