Guide Structure And Contents

The guide is structured like this:

"Level name"

"Estimated difficulty"

"Hints"

"Solution"

The difficulty is divided into three categories:

"Sokoban" is the block-pushing aspect of the level.

●○○○○: It's very easy and is not in the way when solving the level.

●●○○○: It has some required sokoban movement.

●●●○○: It has medium difficulty sokoban.

●●●●○: There is some complicated movements that will impede progress.

●●●●●: It's very precise movement that makes it very hard to progress the level.

"Logic" is how many different elements and steps ahead you need to put into consideration at the same time.

●○○○○: There's very simple logic that only includes up to a few lines of rules with no complicated blocks.

●●○○○: There are a few rules and some blocks needed to solve the level or a somewhat unconventional setup.

●●●○○: It requires multiple rules and blocks, requiring multiple steps or has a hard to spot setup.

●●●●○: There are a lot of different rules and/or blocks with many possible combinations or a very difficult to spot setup with a lot of steps.

●●●●●: Many rules and blocks needs to be used in a complicated way with a lot of setup.

"Interaction" is how unintuitive the interactions between rules are.

●○○○○: There are only simple rules.

●●○○○: There are either some more difficult rules or interactions or new (non-basic) interactions are introduced.

●●●○○: It has hard to understand rules or unintuitive interactions.

●●●●○: There's a lot of hard to understand interactions.

●●●●●: It has a lot of difficult interactions and some cases with uncommon interactions that are hard to think about or understand.

"Clutter" is how many objects are on the screen.

●○○○○: There are only some objects.

●●○○○: There are more objects in the level.

●●●○○: Many objects and/or rules are in this level.

●●●●○: It is a lot of rules and/or objects making it hard to find the first steps.

●●●●●: There is so many objects and/or rules you have to take a minute just to read them all.

Don't be discouraged if a level you find hard is only 2 or 3 in difficulty as this is a really hard game and most people get stuck on a lot of levels even if they aren't hard because the difficulty changes a lot depending on your way of thinking.

This is all my subjective view. All difficulties are subjective.

This is currently a work in progress. If you spot anything that is wrong please tell me.

I don't show all solutions or the most efficient solutions. Either I want it to be what I think is the "intended solution" or I don't know the solution you're thinking of.

I also write in game text as "Baba" and objects as baba.

Solution: Use the rocks or text to break the rule "Skull Is Defeat"

Hint: How can you use the "Lava" text?

Solution: Make "Lava Is Melt" or "Lava Is Push" or "Lava Is Baba".

Hint: What can you do with the text "Wall"?

Solution: Swap out "Baba Is You" with "Wall Is You" by pushing "Wall" into "Baba" horizontally.

7. Grass Yard

Hint1: There is no wall.

Hint2: You can't use the text "Grass Is Stop" at all.

Solution: Push the text "Flag" and "Win" around the outside of the wall and re-use the "Is" in "Baba Is You" by making a vertical rule that says "Flag Is Win"

The Lake

1. Icy Waters

Hint: There is enough room to put something to the left of "Baba Is You"

Solution1: Push out the "And" and put it to the left of "Baba Is You" to then write "Wall And Baba Is You" and then walk all the way right.

Solution2: The "cheese" solution; push any text into a jellyfish to reach the flag.

2. Turns

Hint1: Can you get rid of the skull?

Hint2: How does something that is "Sink" work?

Solution: Write "Rock Is Push And Sink" and then push the rocks into the star and skull. Then push "Crab" up one step, push "And" in under it and then push both down to make "Crab And Baba Is You". Then walk to the flag as crab.

3. Affection

Hint: Objects that aren't "You" survive objects that are "Defeat".

Solution1: Push a keke so it faces love, then make "Keke Is Move" and "Love Is Push", causing keke to push out the love.

Solution2: Make "Love Is Move" or "Love Is You".

Solution3: Make "Algae Is Move", "Algae Is Push", "Algae Is Keke" or "Algae Is Love".

4. Pillar Yard

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●●○○○ Logic: ●○○○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●○○○○

Hint: The pillars can be pushed through the stars.

Solution: Push two or more pillars in a row through the stars so at least one is inside. Then change "Baba Is You" to "Pillar Is You".

5. Brick Wall

Hint: You have two "Is". How can you use both?

Solution: Make "Baba Is Win" and "Baba Is You" at the same time.

6. Lock

Hint: What's the difference between a rock and a key?

Solution: After opening the first two doors, make "Rock Is Push" and "Rock Is Open" at the same time and then use it to open the last door.

7. Novice Locksmith

Hint: To open something that is "Shut" you need something that is "Open" and "Push" at the same time.

Solution: Make a cross to write "Key Is Push" and "Key Is Open". Then use the "Push" to write "Door Is Push".

8. Locked In

Hint: "Wall Is Defeat", but "Jelly" isn't.

Solution: Write "Wall Is Jelly".

9. Changeless

Hint: There is a contradiction in two different rules.

Solution: Break "Rock Is Rock" and then write "Rock Is Flag".

10. Two Doors

Hint: How can you get rid of the key?

Solution: Make "Key Is Open" and "Door Is You".

11. Jelly Throne

Hint: How can you get past the flag?

Solution: Write "Jelly Is Baba", break "Flag Is You" and write "Flag Is Win".

12. Crab Storage

Hint: There is a way to make "Crab Is Win".

Solution: Write "Flag Is Open" against the wall. Then use the flag to open the door. Write "Baba Is Baba" in the top and then push "Crab" all the way to the top to spell "Crab Is Win".

13. Burglary

Hint: Remember how "Open" and "Shut" works?

Solution: Make "Star Is Open" and "Wall Is Shut" and then open a wall with the star. Then break "Star Is Defeat" and use that space to write "Star Is Win".

Extra 1. Submerged Ruins

Hint: It doesn't say "Crab Is Defeat" at the start. Why?

Large Hint: Have the rock or baba inside the box with the flag at the same time as making "Crab Is Defeat".

Solution: Without making "Crab Is Defeat" go down and break "Rock Is Push". This will allow you to move the "Rock" and "Push" text to the "Baba Is You" text without making crab into "Defeat". Then write "Rock Is You", write "Baba Is Push" and push baba past the crabs. Push the text in the top right in so "Crab Is Defeat" and "Flag Is Win". After that write "Baba Is You".

Extra 2. Sunken Temple

Hint: Why is there only one crab now?

Solution: Take out the "Rock Is Push" text and write "Rock Is You" and "Baba Is Push" in a cross. Use the remaining "Is" to push the baba through the crab. Then swap to "Baba Is You".

Solitary Island

0. Poem

Hint: Why is there a hole to the left of "Violet"?

Solution: Push the "Is" row down two steps and push "Violet" into the hole in the wall, take "Rose", move it around to the other side and push it into "Baba" from below.

1. Float

Hint: If baba can't touch other objects, what do you do?

Solution1: Write "Baba Is Win" at the same time as "Baba Is You".

Solution2: Make "Rock Is You" or "Wall Is You" and walk to the flag.

2. Warm River

Hint: How can you use the "And"?

Solution: Write "Water Is Sink And Float".

3. Bridge Building

Hint: How can you get the rock out of the corner?

Solution: Write "Rock Is You" and use the rocks and baba to destroy a row of water to get across.

4. Bridge Building?

Hint: What rule has been removed compared to the previous level?

Solution: Use the text to remove the water to get across.

5. Victory Spring

Hint: What do you need to win after you extract the "Win" text?

Solution: Push both cogs to destroy water in the middle row. Then push "Text Is Float" over the water and break the rule without having the "Is" sink. After that write "Baba Is You".

6. Assembly Team

Hint: You need to make the robots be on different columns.

Solution: Push the "Baba" into the left wall to make the robots be on different columns. Then break a water and push "Is Baba" through the hole back to "Baba" to write "Baba Is You".

7. Catch The Thief!

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●●○○○ Logic: ●●○○○ Interaction: ●●○○○ Clutter: ●○○○○

Hint: How can you get past defeat?

Solution: Start by pushing "Baba Is You" down three steps without wasting a move. Then wait until the robot is on the other side to break "Robot Is Move". After that write "Robot Is You" along the bottom of the screen so you're both baba and robot. Then push "Win" up with robot and to the side with baba without losing either character. Then write "Baba Is Win" and walk into baba with the robot.

8. Tiny Pond

Hint: How do you not lose after destroying a water?

Solution: Write "Key Is Flag" by crossing it with "Baba Is You". Then swap "Baba" with "Flag" so it says "Flag Is You And Open". Then break a water and push out the "Win" and write "Flag Is You And Win".

9. Research Facility

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●●○○○ Logic: ●●●○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●●○○○

Hint1: You can't push any text into the second tunnel.

Hint2: Why can you break "Skull Is Hot"?

Solution: Place the bolt at the same height as keke, then push it left. Write "Bolt Is Move" and without waiting run through the second tunnel and break "Skull Is Hot". Wait until the bolt breaks "Skull Is Defeat" and then go down and retrieve "Win". After that write "Bolt Is Win" when the bolt is accessible.

10. Wireless Connection

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●●○○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●●○○○

Hint: Write "Flag And Rock Is Win."

Solution: Push the robot so it points towards one of the spaces between "Flag" and "Rock". Put an "And" in front of it and then make the robot move. Make the robot stop moving so that the text gets aligned with the text "Flag" and "Rock" to the right. Then use the cog to do the same but two rows lower down and with an "Is" instead.

11. Prison

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●○○○○ Interaction: ●●●○○ Clutter: ●○○○○

Hint: You can't move text into something that's push, but...

Solution: Push keke over the text "Wall Is Stop" and break the rule "Keke Is Push". You can then push "Wall Is Stop" over keke. Then write "Keke Is You" and move down to break "Wall Is Stop".

Extra 1. Boiling River

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●●○○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●●○○○

Hint: Where else can you use that "And"?

Solution: Put the and next to "Baba Is Melt" and push down "Baba Is You" to write "Baba Is Melt And You" along the bottom. The use the "Is" to write "Water Is Float".

Extra 2. ...Bridges?

Hint1: You don't have enough objects to make a bridge this time.

Hint2: Try to bring some text back over the water.

Solution: Write "Rock Is You" and use them to push "Is Win" over the water and then write "Rock Is Win" at the same time as "Rock Is You".

Extra 3. Tiny Isle

Hint: You don't have to retrieve the "Win".

Solution: Write "Key Is Flag" and then "Flag Is You And Open". After that break the water straight to the left of win. Push in "Open And" next to "Win" and push "Flag Is You" next to it so it says "Is Open And Win". Then put "Baba" in front so baba becomes "Open And Win".

Extra 4. Dim Signal

Hint: How can you re-use an object?

Solution: Same solution as "Wireless Connection" except that you need to put "Stop" and "Robot" in front of the "Is" that's in front of the cog so it can move back and can be used for a second time to write "Flag And Rock And Ice Is Win".

Extra 5. Dungeon

Hint: What did you do in the level "Prison"?

Solution: Make both keke and baba "You" and then move them so one is above and one is below the text "Wall Is Stop". You can then move up and down and the rule will break.

Extra 6. Evaporating river

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●●●○○ Interaction: ●●○○○ Clutter: ●●●○○

Hint: It's impossible to get four objects on the left side to push through the skulls.

Solution: Move the rule "Water Is Sink" so that the text "Water" destroys a water. Then write "Cog Is Sink" and push the cog trough the hole in the river to destroy the skull that's next to "Flag" and then push "Flag" in to form "Flag Is Win".

Temple Ruins

1. Fragility

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●○○○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●○○○○

Solution: Write "Skull Is Weak" and then walk over the skulls to destroy them. Then write "Rock Is Weak" and walk into the rock that's blocking the way to break it so you can reach the flag.

2. Tunnel Vision

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●○○○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●○○○○

Hint: What can you write with "Has"?

Solution: Write "Rock Has Rock" and then push the rock through the water to make a path to the flag.

3. A Present For You

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●●○○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●○○○○

Hint1: Love dies in water but the box does not.

Hint2: You need to destroy box. What text do you have that can destroy objects?

Solution: Write "Box Is You" and walk past the water with the box. Write "Love Is Hot" and then swap back to "Love Is You". Write "Box Is Melt" and then walk over the box to win.

4. Unreachable Shores

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●●○○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●●○○○

Hint1: When the box dies it creates love that is in the way. But keke does not.

Hint2: Only one thing can be you at a time... (Very vague I know.)

Solution: Swap to "Box Is You" and "Keke Is Push" and push keke into the water at the top. Take out "Box Has" to write "Box Has Box" and then walk through the water.

5. But Where's The Key

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●●●○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●●○○○

Hint1: How do you swap what you are?

Hint2: Can you create multiple objects?

Solution: By writing around the "Baba Is You" write "Baba Has Box" and "Box Is You". Then write to the right of "You" to write "Baba Is You And Weak". Now suicide into any object to become a box. Then swap "Baba Is You" with "Key Is You" and write "Box Has Key" over it. Then move the "Is Weak" under "You" to create "Box Is Weak". Suicide into something to become a key. Now write "Key Has Box" by putting "Box Has" under the "Key". Remove the "Is Weak" and open the door, become a box and then go to the flag.

6. Love Is Out There

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●●○○○ Interaction: ●●○○○ Clutter: ●●○○○

Hint: How can you make multiple objects?

Solution: By moving "Box", "Key", "And" and "Box Is Weak" to the top, write "Box Has Key And Box". Walk over the box so it starts making keys. Then go to the top and push the text to the right to beak "Box Is Weak". Then write "Key Is Push" and use the stacked keys to open the doors.

7. Perilous Gang

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●●○○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●○○○○

Hint1: What can you do with "Skull Is Defeat" on the right?

Hint2: You can push text over the skulls with moving objects.

Solution: Push both ghosts so they're on the same columns. One being one row below the "Skull" text and one just under the other ghost. Make both face right and place "Is Push" in front of them. Then make "Ghost Is Move" and break it when they make "Skull Is Push". Now go past the skulls, swap "Skull Is Defeat" with "Skull Is Win" and break "Skull Is Push".

8. Double Moat

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●●●○○ Logic: ●●○○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●●○○○

Hint: Why is the second moat only one tile wide?

Solution: Write "Keke Is You". Then push the rule down until "Keke" is aligned with the door. Then swap back to "Baba Is You". Now push "Baba Is You" down and write "Keke Has Baba" and "Keke Is Move". Wait until keke opens the door. Now, without destroying the second baba, write "Baba Is Move". This will let you move two steps or a single step if you press [wait]. When you're next to the right moat, press right to jump over it and reach the flag.

9. Walls Of Gold

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●●○○○ Interaction: ●○○○○ Clutter: ●○○○○

Hint: How do you win without standing on something else?

Solution: Write "Wall Is Rock". Then write "Rock Is Win" and "Rock Is You" using the "You" in "Baba Is You".

Extra 1. Further Fields

Hint: How can you move keke across the grass without dying?

Solution: Start by walking straight up to break "Baba Is Move". Then push "Keke Is You" down 2-4 steps and write "Baba Is Push" one step left of "Keke Is You". Push the babas so there's one in every row ~5 steps to the left of the "Keke Is You" text. They should be in the same column except the bottom one. The bottom one should be one step further to the right and the babas should all be facing left. Then put "Move" to the left of "Push" and push the text in so that "Baba Is Move" and "Keke Is Push". Now wait until the babas have pushed keke and the text across and made "Keke Is You". Now you can go to the flag.

Forest Of Fall [WIP]

1. Hop

Hint: What things can you teleport?

Solution: Teleport "Push" over and then push a love into the water next to the flag and make "Love Is Tele" for one tick.

2. Grand Stream

Difficulty: Sokoban: ●○○○○ Logic: ●●○○○ Interaction: ●●○○○ Clutter: ●●○○○

Hint: How can you use keke?

Solution: Go to the other side of the water without bringing the key. Make "Keke Is Pull" and align keke so he faces the key. Now make "Key Is Pull" and "Keke Is Move". Wait for keke to pull the key across the water and then pull the key to the box to win.

3. Rocky Road

Hint: You don't need to make a path through the rocks.

Solution: Push the love into "Push" and then push "Push" back onto the love, making "Push" teleport back and forth. Then go onto the love without pushing away "Push" and then push the love down into the water every turn that it's push.
