Groundbait And Feeding

1.What is the dry mix?

- The dry mixture does not contain any liquid components. It is used in SPOMB and SPOD rocket feeders or to create a PVA bag. The dry mixture can be created without a base component.

2.What is a SPOMB?

- SPOMB is a fully closed rocket feeder. It can fly at a long distance; opens when hitting the water; provides for compact small-spot groundbait delivery. Efficient when using large particle groundbaits.

3.What is a SPOD?

- SPOD is an open-type rocket feeder. Leaves a groundbait trail. Efficient to create large feeding spots of small particle groundbaits.

4.What is a PVA?

- A PVA bag is a water-soluble sack filled with dry groundbait that can be attached directly to the hook and guarantees feeding the exact spot you are fishing in.

5.What is a PVA string ?

- A PVA string is a water-soluble string beaded with boilies or pellets.

6.Do Feedmixes overwrite each other?

- Feedmixes with different components will create a united feeding place. But please be aware, that using different mixes can have positive but also a negative effect.

The fish population is increasing after every cast of PVA/Feedmix precentral. A higher quality of the feedmix will bring better results.

7.Do mixtures in feeder baskets affect other rods?

- Yes, if the bait is within the impact area of the filled feeder basket, the mixture also affects the other rod. PVA also affects other rods when their baits are in the impact area.

Feeding is always working in a radius of 2.5m.

8.If you are fishing on two spots, which overlap each other, and using two different mixtures, do they stack or overwrite?

- If you're feeding two areas which are close to each other, it is likely you will have an overlap. These mixtures will work together, but the influence can differ depending on the components. The feedmix has a radius of 2.5m, keep this in mind, if you want to feed different mixtures relatively close to each other.

9.Can you overfeed the spot?

- Yes, it is possible to overfeed an active spot. The result is that the population drops and cannot be increased for a certain period of time.

In addition, you will quickly notice that the general fishing frequency drops significantly. In this case, it is recommended to leave the spot, so it can rest.

A game restart will not reset the overfeeding effect.

10.How do you influence the size of the fish?

You do this by changing the size of the particles you are feeding the fish. Larger particles = larger fish.

Example #1 - Combo

Combination approach - size and frequency.

Mixdeed with 3 PVA boilie stringers. Ex: 16mm Soluble Boiles

1 to 2 throws with the rocket feeder.

In the evening use the cobra or slingshot to throw a few more boilies out.

BE CAREFUL - you can easily overfeed with this technique

Going forward, you should only refeed every 1 or 2 game days (1 to 2 hours)

Example #2 - Size

Pure size - we only use large particles here to encourage larger fish to feed.

Example Mix:

No base!

Boilie Soluble 16mm

Pellets 18mm

Crushed Boilies

Boilie 25mm

Aroma

Feed 1 or 2 loads of the rocket feeder. You will notice the bite rate drop, but the size increases.

In the evening / night hours, refeed with cobra or PVA stringers.

11. What are small and large particles, or what is the difference?

Small particle up to 4mm:

Feed Pellets

Additive like Bloodworm, Chopped worm

Base Mixtures like Rape Seed, Corn FlourMedium sized particle, up to 12mm:

Boilies

Pellets

Feed PelletsBig particle, from 12mm and above:

Boilies

Pellets

Feed Pellets

Small particles generally increase frequency and big particles will likely produce bigger sized fish. It is also possible to combine different types in your feedmix.

12. Are there differences in size when "grinding, crushing" boilies?

The size of the "crushed boilies" is controlled by the crusher itself, how fine or coarse it is ground. In the game, we only have one crusher = always the same size when it is ground

The original component is always in there after crushing, and it should stay that way. It may well be that other variations of crushers will come later.

For now, you can use any size of boilies, it will have the same crushed size.

13. Can Popup boilies be used in feed mixes or do they also have the buoyancy effect when feeding?

The boilies have a pop-up effect, but this function is only available if they are linked to a rig, not when used in groundbait.

This means, you can also use pop up boilies for your mixture.

14. Can you influence the radius / scattering effect of the cobra?

Yes, it is possible to influence the scattering effect.

The diameter of the pipe can be adjusted to the size of the boilie.

The skill of the cobra also reduces the scattering effect.

The less scattering there is, the more precise the effect of the fed boilies / pellets.
