What Is The 51st Regiment Of Foot And Why You Should Join
The 51st Regiment Of Foot Was A regiment During The Napoleonic Wars Era - Specifically serviced during 1792 during the french revolutionary wars. At The Time it was under command of Lt.Colonel John Moore. They took part in a few wars some of which are: The Seven Years War, The Peninsular War, and lastly The Battle Of Waterloo. Despite it being the kings own light infantry, the general of the 51st was the famous Scottish earl called Archibald Montgomerie During The later era of the regiment following the death of Montgomerie it was also led by Sir Thomas Hislop Who fought with the regiment during the fight for the West Indies.
