Gather Round!
Welcome, new recruits! I am Jenkins. Commander Stone made me the official record keeper, and so now I am going to give you a history lesson! Why is this important? Because for the most part, these stories should tell you what NOT to do. I'll be covering how life on Babolon began, as well as what happened to my ancestor, J.J. Jenkins. At the end, I'll help you know what to do to become a Babo legend yourself! So, let's start at the very beggining...
In A Galaxy Far, Far Away....
We know for a fact that before we were around, there was life. Babolon was a pretty boring place until, one day, a crazy looking beam of energy struck Velouria Babolon's ice moon. Unearthly crystals started forming, making the blobs of goo that rolled around on Feralon smarter, stronger, and a whole lot more aggressive.
Personally, I have a hard time believing that we were once blobs of goo. How could we turn from unthinking animals to what we are now? (don't tell Stone I said that) *ahem* Anyway, that beam of energy has excited our species since the dawn of time(well, our time at least). We have been searching for what made us ever since.
My Great, Great, Great, Great-grandfather!
Okay, I might have left out a few greats. But seriously, this happened a long time ago. Just keep in mind as you're listening, you don't try to do any of the things that my ancestor did. He was very dedicated to his work. Not very bright, maybe, but certainly dedicated.
J.J. Jenkins' last adventure began on Babolon's closest moon, Feralon. He and a team of 40 explorers had set off to tour the whole moon. They hadn't gone far when they came across a temple, and they decided to stay and investigate. The natives probably didn't like their snooping around, because one by one the company started to dissappear. Whatever they were guarding, it was important. One day, J.J. Jenkins and company found something that he described as "a disc full of stars". It must have been a portal, because when they stepped through they were instantly teleported to Velouria, the ice moon on which the energy beam had struck. Things only got worse from there. J.J. Jenkins had ditched all their cold weather provisions on Feralon to save energy, and violence started to break out among the team. With no food or water for weeks, they started resorting to cannibalism, even without meaning to. After killing two intruders in the night, my ancestor found that he was alone.
He spent his last days hiding in some sort of bird's nest, where he was eaten by the mother Damo. Well. As I said, very dedicated, but not very bright.
Recent Events!
...And now, after that disturbing story, we get to the good stuff.
Recently, Oculus Orbus was flying near our system in a desperate chase. Hornhead, the newest Scorched recruit, was trying to shoot him down before he could escape. A direct hit on Oculus' engines forced him to crash land on Feralon! Hornhead was brought to Grok, the evil leader of the Scorched faction. Oculus stumbled upon our beloved boot-camp, and Stone didn't take it easy on him. I guess that eyeball has more stuff to him than meets the eye. Our best soldiers are working to help him find the Terrocora, and bring balance to our disrupted universe.
Become A Babo Legend!
So, you cubes want to become a legend yourselves? It's not an easy task. But I'll try to point you in the right direction.
First off, here is a list of the ranks you can work your way up through. You have to unlock every weapon and ability there is to move on to the next set of ranks. To do that you'll have to reset all of your unlocks again and earn them all back. It's a challenging process, but I've heard some say that it's rather fun!
Cube -You can barely roll straight.
Newb -You are mostly in the way.
Recruit -Wax on, wax off.
Private -Don't get cocky, you've still got a lot to learn.
Sergeant -Okay, you're useful - but do you have the stones to try the officer ranks?
OFFICER RANKS
Lieutenant -You may have been a hot shot amateur, but you're in the pros now!
Captain -Well, you may have a future after all.
Major -You're in charge of all the cubes and newbs - whip them into shape!
Colonel -You have the experience to lead an entire battalion.
General -You've gone as far as you can in the regular military - do you have what it takes to become a true hero?
HERO RANKS
Veteran -You're a war hero, but will you be remembered?
Commando -You are a force of nature.
Gladiator -Are you not amused?
Champion -Is there no one who can beat you?
Legend!!!!!!!!!!! -You are a living legend! They sing songs in the mountains about you!
Oh, I almost forgot! When you get high enough in rank, you will obtain two awesome new weapons: the Slicer and the Striker! Using those destructive forces will show those around you that they are fighting with a true Legend. Good luck out there!
