How to Work-around/fix the missing Kyber Brick Bug

An Introduction.

so to begin with, one of the major bugs in this fairly buggy mess of a Lego Starwars game, is the Kyber Brick bug. (shown in the image below)

(Be aware, this only works with PC, as i do not know how to do the same with Xbox or PS, if this some how end up in your search results, i am sorry this will not be able to help but feel free to read on if you wish to know how this may be fixable.)

This bug in itself will force you to restart the game completely just to get 100% completion, for Achievement hunters (hardcore or casual), this is a nightmare, especially when you want to complete it quick, the frustrating thing about it, no one seems to know how to really "fix" or "work-around" it and will lead you to a fix for a different problem.

After looking through some Discussion/Fix guides that either involving:

-Disabling Full-screen optimization

-Run as Admin

-Changing your GPU Clock speed down or up?

(This one was not very specified as to how much does the clock speed need to go down, or which clock speed, GPU? Vram? and how much power needed to be change, i do not recommend doing this, if you do not know what you are doing, other wise, by all means.)

(and this may be for different problems, however it did show up in my search to fix this bug)

As it turned out however, it is a little simple, you just need to move and replace some files.

(as i just realized while making this guide, this particular quest "a search for knowledge" does not have a Kyber Brick, just a character, but this will still help with the Missing Kyber brick bug though one such quest with this problem Dodgy Dwellings.

How To Actually Work-around/Fix This Bug Pt.1

Alright so first, you are going to need to know where to find "appdata" in your Storage Drive/Device

This is how you find it: PC\Local Disk\Users\(your user name)\AppData

It is much easier to type down "%AppData%", which should lead you directly to where you need to be to find the files.

After you find it, go to "Roaming" or if its already there by typing it, cool, this will be where you will find the "Skywalker Saga", which will be in the "Warner Bros" now follow this:

\Warner bros\Skywalker Saga\SavedGames\Steam\(random numbers its been given, its the only file)

(I have shorten the name files as its too long to type.)

It should be as shown as such:

Now why the Save slots? because one important .BLOB File is in the Slot 1 to (which ever number) file.

This one to be exact:

Make a copy of your Slot Files for when things go wrong.

How To Actually Work-around/Fix This Bug Pt.2

To continue from last section.

If you already have a another save (i.e. Slot2) then good, if not then you need to start a new game in a different slot.

(be careful not to overwrite the old game, it is salvageable this way, because other wise, you will have to do the story mode all over again, this will skip that process.)

If you happen to have a game where you did not do the buggy side quest(s), make a copy of that save file, it is important.

Now a fare Warning before you do the next steps:

- Be aware that if you do this after the bug has happened, this will revert every collectible Kyber Bricks/Characters/Ships/Side quests that you have done already.)

- Do not worry, this will not erase all of your progress, it only affects Freeplay, not Story Mode unlocks/bricks.

(Unfortunately there is no way of knowing when this bug will occur again, so you may have to do this work-around again just to even fix it temporary, so be sure to save the file every so often, after your play-through for the day, after 1 or 2 planets complete, or just the Quests/puzzles that you know has either bugged before, or know the ones that will give you trouble before hand, do however you wish)

Now from the New save slot (Slot 2) Copy and Paste "COLLECTABLES.BLOB" to the same ".BLOB" file on Slot 1.

After doing so, it should revert every Collectible (Kyber Bricks/Characters/Ships/Side quests), back to the starting point, and back to where it was, like a thanos snap, thus starting over.

Once i has been reverted Do the bugged quests/puzzles, you do not want those quests lingering around so they end up bugged again, get rid of them and forget.

Again just to point out 2 of the Bugged Quests: "a search for knowledge" and "Dodgy Dwellings", those two quests are troublesome with any Disappearing unlocks/counts.

Conclusion

This has to have been the most frustrating bug there is in The Skywalker Saga, especially for a completionist.

So how did i find out about this? Did it out of frustration while searching for a ways to fix this bug.

No one seems to know how to actually fix it, and or give the same simple fixes literally just does nothing like "turn it off and on" type of answers, that's how i found the "run as admin" or "under clock GPU" answers, which is irrelevant to what i was trying to fix.

"Jank" answers for a "Jank" Bug if you will.

During my third restart how ever, i did come up with finding my save files to see if i can mess with them in Notepad, in such i found out it was saved in "\AppData\" it turned out that it was a .Blob file, so opening it a no go, as you will find it unreadable, so i thought maybe i can overwrite it with another save file, turned out that did the trick, but at the cost of starting almost over which to me was the cost to try and fix this bug, now i was able to complete "Naboo", because i was missing 1 brick that somehow became non existent.

Anyways, enough of that ramble, hopefully this will help out with your mising Kyber Brick issue, and hopefully, you can 100% the game, at last!

That being said, Have a nice day/night, and Happy Achievement hunting!

Side note: will this affect achievements in some way? i am not sure, but i assume if copy paste the achievementsystem.BLOB, it may be able to affect it, but i would not try it, as it may not sync with your current progress with the achievements.

(i.e. 100% game complete, but does not count at 100% in achievements due to story mode not completed/free mode, i don't know, just the possibility).
