What Makes This Guide So Special?

The sections are based on both recent and past experiences since its debut on Warcraft 3. The main goal is to create the strongest possible foundation with the best unit combinations.

Note: The randomized unit selection depend more on luck when creating the best possible defense.

Why are you writing this guide?I enjoy helping others and wanted to also preserve the key findings before they are forgotten. Also, other guides do not seem to have the same high standards as mine and are missing key details in having successful runs.

Who is the intended audience?The guide is for everyone, but much more friendlier to new players. Everything will be explained to be on the same level as those who are the most experienced. The writing will be easy to follow, supported by plenty of screenshots for those who are too lazy to read everything!

How To Stack Auras

Each aura has a semi-diamond shape that benefits a total of 6 surrounding units. The layout is either 2 on each side and 1 in front/back or vice versa.

When stacking auras, the ideal setup is to place the strongest units on the sides of the 2 overlapping tiles. This prevents the exposure of weaker units at the front and have the strongest units benefit from double aura.

A single unit can benefit from triple aura!

Unique Lesser Known Stacking Auras

The Butcher and Head Chef have two different lifesteal auras that are stackable.

APS and MPS also have two different attack speed auras that are stackable.

Front Line Setup

The full brunt of each enemy wave needs to be absorbed as much as possible to generate enough time for the DPS units.

Lifesteal further improves survivability for units that focus on enhanced health and defense.

Tanky Unit Combinations

The lifesteal auras work well with any tanky elite units that are not mana dependent.

Charging boars work differently and need plenty of space to inflict more damage. The front line needs to be pushed back further when using them if they need to be within an aura.

Rear Line Setup

Mana regeneration is best for DPS ranged units to upgrade abilities and cast more damaging spells.

Boosted attack speed is universal and further enhance DPS on both lines!

DPS Units Combinations

Mana regeneration work best with any mana DPS units, especially carry.

Hybrid units can benefit from both mana regeneration and survivability enhancement.

Optimal Legion Spells

Useful mana regeneration that can also be stacked with the Starcaller.

Very useful stacking upgrade for any tanky unit on the front line.
