I'll keep this brief.

My 2 Apatosaurus require about 2.88 AREA.

I calculated this figure from information on paleo.gg

Apatosaurus Environmental Needs = open space + forest + water + tall leaf

(figures on paleo.gg) 6200 + 9300 +750 + 7750 = 24000

But I have 2 Apatosaurus, which have 20% AREA GROWTH, so:

24000 X 1.2 = 28800

If I had 4 of them I'd calculate like this: 24000 X 1.8

24000 X ( 1 + ( 0.2 * "Number of Dinos") )

28,800 square meters = 2.88 AREA

1 fence section is the max distance a fence can be built.

1 square fence section gives 0.25 AREA

A dino placed in this square fenced area will show 0.23 AREA ish, this is normal.

Their territory doesn't go right up to the fence line.

1 minimum fence section is 0.005 LINEAR AREA

the shortest distance you can build a piece of fence

2 minimum fence sections built one after the other is 0.01 LINEAR AREA

2 square minimum fence sections is 0.01 AREA

So to get the 2.88 AREA my 2 Apatosaurus need I built the enclosure shown in this image.

Note that meeting a Dino's AREA requirement doesn't satisfy them, you need to exceed it.

Regardless, using maths I was able create an enclosure that matched it's AREA requirement within 1%
