Got memory or error ?

Close the game and check how loaded you are

Open Task Manager

Click Performance tab

Click on GPU 0 or GPU 1 (you might have a onboard video or more than 1 graphic card)

Look how much Dedicated GPU memory you video card have (it should be more than 4 GB, or the sum of you GPU 0, GPU 2...)

In this example, I got 0,3 /6 Gb.

Click on Memory tab

Look how much memory loaded you got near pin #2 (3,5 /16 GB in the example below)

Look how much total memory you have (4,8 /25 GB in the example below).

The memory is the sum of plus the .

The more applications, system tray stuff you got, the more load you start with !

A browser may not take too much memory, but opening half a dozen website on video or simply heavy webpage quickly take memory space.

Start the game

Click on Settings menu

Under Quality section

Around the ~14th option, you should see . It should be OFF

If you got an old video card like me, 6 GB of is loaded quickly

Some application may use you

If you set to ON, the second you won't have enough space in , you'll see the first error I'v show in the introduction !

Play

Select character

Simply load any map (preferably, one that you can waste time and make some test)

Go back to Task Manager and check how is loaded

You can see I already got 5 /6 Gb !!!

Since I'v want to play with my browser and discord, I had to increase the total of Commited memory without having to buy physical memory. Let increase the virtual memory !

You also need admin right in order to change this setting Open System Properties

In the performance section, click Settings...

Click Advanced tab

Change... button

If necessary, uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives

Select Custom size: option.

Enter values in the and

Set button

OK button

OK button in window

OK button in System Properties window

If you got an SSD drive, you can set to windows default in window and set to 2-3 times your memory

If you got an HDD: hard drive set the to the . You don't want the pagefile (Virtual Memory) to grow or shrink needlessly because of performance hit.

You can see what drive you got in , look for (my OS in c:) and acronym HDD or SSD
