Guide to All Nine Endings For Emily is Away <3 (WIP)

GUIDE CURRENTLY A WIP

Alright- turns out there's A LOT of stuff that goes into the endings and it absolutely requires more than one playthrough (your first file is doomed to fail no matter what).

Linking this guide because they go through the process more thoroughly (also recommend doing their speed hack as typing in this is S L O W):

And despite having played through this multiple times, I have only been able to get a good ending with Eva (second playthrough) and not Em (first playthrough). Doing a new playthrough with the first girl regardless of save slot or playthrough number results in the "bad" ending or the "confronted" ending (at least for me). Only way I was able to get the first girl's good ending was through editing the files.

What Choices Effect The Endings?

The decisions that matter are:

- Which party you go to (whoever's party you pick you'll be dating them)

- Whether you have Em and Eva make up or not.

- If you choose to speak of rumors about Mat

- Whether or not you cancel your date with Emily/Evelyn to hangout and comfort Mat

- If you choose to talk directly with Jeff/Steve or not

- If you choose to talk about Jeff/Steve with Emily/Evelyn and how deeply you discuss it

- Which girl you date in your first playthrough (bound to fail, next playthrough with the other girl is almost guaranteed to succeed)

(Bad Ending With Emily) & (Bad Ending With Evelyn)

These endings are essentially the same regardless of whether you date Emily or Evelyn. They have pretty much the same storyline. You are pretty much guaranteed to get this ending or the "Confronted" ending on your first file.

- Have Em and Eva make up

- Don't speak of rumors about Mat

- Don't cancel your date with Emily/Evelyn

- Don't talk to Jeff/Steve

- Talk about Jeff/Steve with Emily/Evelyn, but drop the issue the moment she asks to (happens when she talks about helping him with mental issues)

Ending can branch out depending on choices you make during the last chapter too (You'll always break up, but it can be "just a break", a full on break up, still be friends, end friendship, etc.)

Enjoy your sad ending that I'm pretty sure everyone got on their first playthrough >:D (seriously though this ending makes me more angry than anything... the girl literally gaslights you the entire time... what a dikbagel :P)

(Friends With Emily Ending) & (Friends With Evelyn Ending)

Again, the storyline is the same regardless of whether you date Emily or Evelyn.

- Have Em and Eva make up

- Don't speak of rumors about Mat

- Cancel your date and hang out with Mat instead to comfort him

- Talk to Jeff/Steve (doesn't seem to matter whether you're rude or polite with them, they're gonna be rude regardless)

- Confront Emily/Evelyn about Jeff/Steve and keep pushing the issue. Never back down when given the option.

Ending also branches in last chapter depending on choices. You can be friends again, not reconcile, etc.

I actually love this ending the most and feel like it was super realistic. Plus Emily and Evelyn become best friends again!

(Confronted Ending With Emily) & (Confronted Ending With Evelyn)

Guaranteed to get either this ending or the "Bad Ending" on your first file/playthrough.

- Have Em and Eva make up

- Don't speak of rumors about Mat

- Don't cancel your date with Em/Eva

- Don't talk directly to Jeff/Steve

- Don't back down when talking about your issue with Jeff/Steven to Emily/Evelyn. Never drop the issue.

Ending also branches depending on choices in last chapter (you can stay together, break up, etc.)

Loved this one, PC gets called out for their BS! You can still be together in this one too, you just grow as a couple.

(Broken Up With Emily) & (Broken Up With Evelyn)

- Have Em and Eva make up

- Don't speak of rumors about Mat

- Don't cancel your date with Em/Eva

- Don't talk directly to Jeff/Steve

- Don't back down when talking about your issue with Jeff/Steven to Emily/Evelyn. Never drop the issue.

- When given the option, tell her you want to breakup.

Ending also branches depending on choices in last chapter (you can be on speaking terms again, fight once again, completely ignore her, etc.)

Feel like this ending is kinda meta because one of your reasons for breaking up with her can be "it was inevitable."

(Good Ending With Emily) & (Good Ending With Evelyn)

IMPORTANT! YOU MUST BE ON YOUR SECOND PLAYTHROUGH WITH THE OTHER GIRL!

I actually have no idea how to get a good ending with the girl from your first playthrough WITHOUT editing the files. Doing a new playthrough with the first girl regardless of save slot or playthrough number results in the "bad" ending or the "confronted" ending (at least for me).

- Have Em and Eva make up.

- Don't speak of rumors about Mat

- Cancel your date and hang out with Mat to comfort him

- Don't talk to Jeff/Steve

- Talk about Jeff/Steve with Emily/Evelyn and choose options that voice you being upset and uncomfortable with her being friends with Jeff/Steve. DO NOT drop the issue the first time she asks and keep discussing it further. Drop the issue the second or third time you are able to, saying it makes you uncomfortable but that you trust her.

Honestly who cares about Emily and Evelyn? Mat all the way. Bros before hoes.
