Another thing that can be very important is terrain, if your facing a muddy, rainy drive, you wont want a car that'll have no traction, and for a drag race you don't want a slow car with low acceleration, pick a fast car with a good start and fast acceleration. If you get a new car that alright, if you have the money and you know that you're going to use the car you should always tune and upgrade the car. I would highly recommend not tuning until you've watched guides on how to get a tune perfectly how you want it. 2-Practice

When you get a new car allways try it out a bit, unless it's awful, then don't use it. Just please man, for the love of god, don't use a car for the first time in a race. You will lose and it will be embarrassing. When you start in the game play around with the settings and controls, make sure they're too your liking. When you play make sure to not hit anything since if you hit things online it's slow you. But the most important thing is to have fun.

3-Mastering The Courses

To be good at the game you have to memorize the courses, you won't be the best when you first start, and that's OK, it takes people hundred of hours to flawlessly do courses, and you don't have to do that but If you want to be better just practice.
