All Enemy and Trap Damage Across All Difficulties (v1.08)

Basics

- Your default starting health is 100HP.

- Your default maximum health is 100HP, unless your starting health is increased beyond 100HP using the starting health modifier. This max health increase is not temporary, unlike lowering your "starting HP", which does what you'd expect and only sets your starting HP to the desired number but does not change your maximum HP.

- Damage will be referred to as a number of hits before death at 100HP for simplicity.

This is because some damage seems to act strangely, for example if you leave the "starting hp" modifier at "100", and walk into a cactus, you will actually die after 101 hits. This suggests that a hit from a cactus does less than 1 damage. The same happens if you set starting hp to another value, for example 33HP; You actually die after 34 hits. However If you now set the starting health to 1HP, you die in a single hit, which makes no sense because setting your health to any other value suggests that cacti deal <1 damage, and therefore shouldn't be able to kill you in a single hit at 1hp.

We have no way of knowing exactly how health and damage works without taking the game apart so it's easier to talk about damage in terms of hits to kill.

- Health status changes every 25HP from Healthy to Ok, Injured, then Critical.
