Important Notes

Regarding the weather - Bear in mind some areas have THREE weather conditions. The most common mix up can be Giza Plains (Rains), where there is Cloudy, Rainy, and STORMY as a third. Stormy you will see flashes in the sky, with Rainy, you will not. Hence the problem where people run around during Rainy, trying to find Mardu Entites and Storm Elementals, wondering why none are appearing. Short answer is get back to the zone border and keep re-zoning until you get the right conditions.

Activate the trophy mobs first by talking to Atak/Blok/Stok first! This is after the initiation mob.

More help for some of the more difficult appearances below.

Rare Game Assist (no Particular Order)

These are among the worse offenders:

Grave Lord ( Golmore / Rustling Chapel )

Kill everything in the area until undead start appearing. Then, kill all the undead until it appears in the centre of the large square.

Gemhorn ( Lhusu / Site 11 )

Clean out the area, including the 2 bug chests (one at the top of map, one at the dead end on the left)

Apsara ( Phon Coast / Mauleia Strand )

Chain (10?) Piranha kills (you will have to rotate zones as there just isn't enough of them at once, and other mobs get in the way. I cycled through 3 zones in a triangle, including Resetta, and looking for easy kills on the coast where other mobs weren't getting in the way. It goes without saying, turn gambits off to avoid accidental kills)

Alteci ( Zertinan / Undershore )

Reach an 11 chain before it appears. No need to zone out. This is the upper level, not the secret bit entered on the lower levels.

Ishteen ( Barheim / Zeviah Span )

Randomly appears but chance increases the longer you are there.

Molen ( Zertinan / Hourglass Basin )

Go through to the other side and kill the bombs there. Hang around and watch the other side to see it come out to investigate.

Bull Croc ( Ozmone / The Shred )

On the north side, random.

Gavial ( Garamscythe / No 10 Channel )

Will need to drain the map before entering. Wait around inside the ditch for a while.

Aeros ( Ozmone / The Shred )

Straight after Bull Croc dies.

Kill Bug ( Ozmone / The Switchback )

It will be the giant treasure chest on the north side of the area, random appearance.

Biding Mantis ( Golmore / Needlebrake )

In the lower half, random.

Midgardsormr ( Golmore / Chained Light )

Kill everything, and maybe re-enter.

Phyllo ( Golmore / Branchway )

Check the dead ends for a random appearance. Will swoop down when you are close up.

Bluesang ( Cerobi / Crossfield )

Random spawn will be between two windmills.

Etherian ( Cerobi / Northsward )

Kill everything in the area. No need to zone.

Skullash ( Phon Coast / Cape Tialan )

Random spawn.

Ancbolder / Anchag ( Paramina / Karydine )

Kill everything and re-enter. May get both at once.

Myath ( Stilshrine / Ward of Sword King )

Use the waystone twice if you can't remember how to navigate this map. You have to take stairs past the Crystal Bug save to get to Ward of Velitation, kill the Aevises then re-enter.

Matriarch Bomb ( Stilshrine / Cold Distance )

Take the hidden path from Ward of Sword King to reach centre of Cold Distance. Float recommended before entering.

Ithuno ( Barheim / Special op Sector 5 )

Spawns as a "chest" at the end on the left. Appears next to a real chest.

Cubus ( Sochen / Temptation Eluded )

Kill everything and re-enter. Try searching dead end on the left, will only appear when close.

Anubys ( Sochen / Mirror of the Soul )

Solve the Pilgrim's Puzzle to enter, it will be behind the door in the centre of the puzzle.

Grimalkin ( Tchita / Uazcuff Hills )

Try entering from the Cerobi side. Will randomly replace a Coeurl.

Juggernaut (Feywood / White Magick's Embrace )

Random appearance when game clock is between 0-10 minutes.

Tarasque ( Tchita / Garden Life's Circle )

Chain a few serpents and it'll jump out of the water. Or so they say. May jump out of the dirt. Will not jump out of the monitor thank heavens.

Kris ( Tchita / Highlands )

With other malboros. May need to zone a few times.

Aspidochelon ( Cerobi / Feddick River )

In addition to other adamantoises there, random.

Vorres ( Necrohol / Hall Ivory Covenant )

There is a method involving luring a dark element to the centre of the area, after re-entering for half a day trying to get a dark element to appear, but Vorres appears under Vanish, so if you see a transparency floating around the centre, try bouncing a spell off a Reflected party member. Might be less work involved.

Rageclaw ( Salika / Piebald Path )

May give you trouble, may not. Apparently no kills are required for a minute, but this includes enemies eating other enemies, which the mantises do. Anyway, I think it appears on the opposite side you enter the area from.

Wood Toad ( Salika / Corridor of Ages )

If you see a vanished frog transparency outline jumping around start bouncing reflected spells at it to reveal it.

Vagrant Soul ( Pharos / Abyssal North )

Need to clear the Seer hunt first, then it's random spawn.

Luxollid (Pharos / Umbra South )

Defeat Vagrant Soul then go straight here.

Imdugud ( Nam Yensa )

Same place as the Belito hunt. Just kill everything then wait at the circle for it to fly in.

Spee ( Salika / Sun-dappled Path )

Kill wyrdhares until it shows up.

Helvinek (Necrohol / various )

Appears as soon as you have killed your 6th Oversoul. Oversouls appear after you kill a bunch of things, so in getting Helvinek you will also get Oversoul.

Velelu ( Nabreus / Fog Mutters )

Get someone to critical health.

Arioch ( Nabreus / Slumbermead )

Clean out the area. May have to re-enter.

Melt ( Henne / Pithead Junction B )

Flick the switch.

Grey Molter ( Mosphoran / Empyrean Way )

A weird and possibly annoying one. Have the first shrine bridge up to get to the correct spot, but only enter the zone when the game clock is between 10 - 20 mins.

Wary Wolf ( Mosphoran / Summit Path )

It's either 7% chance instead of a worgen, or it relies on chaining worgen kills. I always seem to have trouble with this so maybe it's actually 0.0007% chance idk...

Pallicant ( Ridorana Cataract / City of Other Days )

Kill everything then re-enter.

Barmuu ( Raithwall / Royal Passage )

Chain 12-14 seekers, it will then appear in the centre.

Crypt Bunny ( Feywood / Walk of Stolen Truths )

Kill everything, no need to zone out.

Lindbur Wolf ( Westersand / Shimmering Horizons )

Chain 20 wolf kills (isolated NE sector)

Kaiser Wolf (Westersand / Corridor of Sand )

Go here after slaying Lindbur Wolf.

Greeden ( Estersand / Banks of Nebra )

Kill all hostiles and fish. Appears on a beach, so killing the fish is Very Important. Maybe.

Ripe Rampager ( Estersand / Yardang Labyrinth )

Chance appearance after killing cactus type, most likely. Or timer-related.

Wendice ( Sochen / Destiny's March )

Kill all wendigos in area. I just killed everything though. I'm bad.

Larva Eater ( Crystal / various )

Kill 256 foes after using a way stone. Can spawn at various waystones. Likely get it just from the trip up to Ultima. If not, find a loop and do it for a bit on 4x speed.

please message if you feel I've missed other problematic spawns. Most others are just random chance though.
