Introduction
Welcome to my FF7 Date Night Guide. This guide will give you detailed instructions on how to go on a date with one of the 4 dateable players at Gold Saucer. The date scene occurs when you visit the Gold Saucer theme park immediately after your first visit to Rocket Town and you acquire Cid Highwind and the Tiny Bronco. After acquiring the Keystone from Dio at the Battle Square you will be forced to spend the night at the hotel. After a little powwow in the lobby you will go to bed. In your room there will be a knock on the door and depending on how you played the game, a different person (Aerith, Tifa, Yuffie or Barret) will be at the door suggesting a date.
Dating Mechanics Part 1
The way to determine wh you go on a date with is based on a relationship score with each of Ariet, Tifa, Yuffie and Barett. Each player starts out with a different base score and depending on how you play the game (actions and people in you party) and how you answer certian questions will affect this score. Each players starting base score is as follows:
Aerith - 50 pts
Tifa - 30 pts
Yuffie - 10 pts
Barret - 0 pts
There are certian events that will allow you to change this score and how you play it depends on how it will change. The are as follows:
Midgar
1. After destroying Reactor on and reuniting with Avalanche on the train talk with Jessie and she will show you the monitor"Thanks anyway" (No change)
"Looking forward to it" (-3 Tifa)
2. (If you bought a flower from Aerith) first visit to 7th Heaven
"GIve to Tifa" (+5 Tifa)
"Give to Marlene" (+5 Barret)
3. Talk to Tifa before going down to the Avalanche base, Tifa will offer you a drink.
"Don't feel like it" (No change)
"Give me something hard" (+5 Tifa)
4. When Tifa accuses Cloud of leaving her again
"How can you say that" (+5 Tifa)
"...Sorry" (No Change)
5. The next morning when Tifa asks how you slept
"Barret's snoring kept me up..." (+5 Barret)
"Next to you, who wouldn't?" (+5 Tifa)
6. Making it through the subway without getting caught by the security system
(+5 Tifa and Barett)
7. When your hanging onto the broken walkway after planting the Sector 5 Reactor bomb

"(I don't know if I can hold on)" (-3 Barret, +1 Tifa)
8. After Aerith falls and you have to push the barrels down on the enemy chasing her.
Push a wrong barrel (-3 Aerith)

9. When Aerith asks if Tifa is your girlfriend.

14. After landing in the sewer.

"Help Aerith" (+3 Aerith)
15. Marlene will ask Cloud if he thinks Aerith is interested in him.
"I don't know" (+3 Tifa, -3 Aerith)
"Let's hope so" (-3 Tifa, +3 Aerith)
16. After rescuing Aerith and meeting Red XIII you must send on of Barret or Tifa to ecsort Aerith out while you fight a monster.
"Tifa, I'm countin' on you!" (-2 Tifa)
"Barret, take care of her!" (+2 Barret)
17. Your party will split up again.
"If Aerith is in the party" (+2 Aerith)
"If Tifa is in the party" (+2 Tifa)

18. After the party is captured talk to Tifa and she will ask if they can break out.

** This can be done multiple time to raise or lower her score.
19. After talking to Tifa you will be given the option to "think of" the other party members.
Whoever he thinks of first (+3 Aerith, +3 Barret, or no change for Red XIII)
Whoever he thinks of second (+1 Aerith, +1 Barret, or no change for Red XIII)
Whoever he thinks of last (no change for anybody)
20. After escaping Midgar.

1. After reaching Kalm Barret will yell at you to hurry up.

2. In the first house on the left passed the inn there will be a woman down stairs who will comment about how much better life is with Mako (Character needs to be in your party)

Aquiring Yuffie
After passing the Mythril Mine and walking your way towards Juno and Fort Condor there will be some forested area that you can recieve a random encounter vs a Mystery Ninja (encounter rate isn't great, 32/256, but it is the earliest place to aquire Yuffie. After you defeat Yuffie you will e take to a screan where she is passed out after the fight. Talk to her with the following option and their effects:
"All right" (No Change)
"Not interested" (+2 Yuffie)
"Petrified..." (+2 Yuffie)
"You're gonna lose again" (No Change)
"Go ahead" (No Change)
"Wait a second!" (+2 Yuffie)
"That's right" (+2 Yuffie)

"Let's hurry" (+2 Yuffie)
Fort Condor
1. When you arrive at Fort Condor you will talk to an Old Man will talk to you.
"I guess so" (+5 Barret, +3 Aerith, +3 Tifa, +2 Yuffie)
"Not interested" (-5 Barret, -3 Aerith, -3 Tifa, -1 Yuffie)
2. The Old man will talk again, this time about their problem.

The Cargo Ship
1. Talk to Yuffie on the boat, she asks for a tranquilizer.

Gold Saucer
1. When you arrive in Gold Saucer you will be allowed to choose a person to accompany you in the park.

Aerith Date Strategy
Aerith is the easiest of the 4 to get a date with since her base score is so high to start. If you focus on the ones that give her a plus you shouldn't have to worry about reucing others, mainly Tifa's, score. But here are the ones that apply dirrectly to her.
Midgar
8. After Aerith falls and you have to push the barrels down on the enemy chasing her.
• Push the right barrel (+1 Aerith) x3
9. When Aerith asks if Tifa is your girlfriend.
• "No way!" (+1 Aerith)
10. After sneaking out, Aerith catches you.
• "Go on to Sector 7 " (+1 Aerith)
11. If the Don choses Tifa.
• "You all right?" (+3 Aerith)
14. After landing in the sewer.
• "Help Aerith first" (+3 Aerith)
15. Marlene will ask Cloud if he thinks Aerith is interested in him.
• "Let's hope so" (-3 Tifa, +3 Aerith)
17. Your party will split up again after the battle with the monster in the Red XIII/Aerith's cell.
• "If Aerith is in the party" (+2 Aerith)
19. After talking to Tifa you will be given the option to "think of" the other party members.

20. After escaping Midgar.

This should get you a final Affection score of 93, which even if you selected all the other ones for Tifa and had Tifa in you party with her, Aerith would still be the one to go on the date with you.
Tifa Date Strategy
Ok so the Church going girl next door isn't your thing, maybe you want the big brested bar fly in Tifa. With Tifa your goal is to try and raise her affection score while lowering Aerith's whenever possible. One possible path is as follows:
Midgar

Cosmo Canyon
1. Barret must be in your party when you arrive at Cosmo Cannon, you can talk to him about the formation of Avalanche in the room behinf the Weapon shop.
"Go on" (+3 Barret)
2. Same conversation as above
"And then" (+3 Barret)
Tifa: 33 Aerith: 34 Yuffie: 22 Barret: 46
